Channelknight Fadran Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 Quote right-o; let's murder some mini-Siths A dark presence approached, cloaked in shadow. Feisyyd was the first to notice it, voice suddenly dropping still mid-sentence. She scanned about with her eyes, but couldn't see it... how had it come so close, undetected? What manner of concealment were these intruders using? "Everyone," Feisyyd said, "on alert." ...And what had brought it so near the Jedi Temple? @Ravenclawjedi42 @Justice_Magician @Scars of Hathsin @Ancient Elantrian @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ @The Bookwyrm
Scars of Hathsin he/him Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Quote cant do it yet, leave something for me though
Through the Living Elan He/Him Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Ryss turned around to where Master Feisyyd was looking, and nervously took out his two lightsaber-daggers.
Ravenclawjedi42 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Rajib soon felt them approach and ignited their lightsaber. “Someone needs to get the younglings outside to safety,” they commented, stepping into form III.
Through the Living Elan He/Him Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Rukk nodded. “I’ll do it. I’m better at defensive than offensive.” He sprinted off towards where the younglings were meditating.
Guest Ψιτιsτηε Βεsτ Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Pucky looked around. He also couldn’t detect the strange presence. He readies himself, though, for an attack.
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 "Indeed. Stay close, Nayla, Reel."
Mags she/they Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Cloud gripped his lightsaber in one hand, and reached for the blaster at his belt with the other. "What is it? some kind of beast?"
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 Feisyyd almost replied, but another voice answered first. "A beast? I think I could come to appreciate a title like that." A single man, cloaked in a dark robe, emerged from the forest. His eyes gleamed bright yellow. Nayla's breath caught. She instinctively shied away. "What brings you here?" Feisyyd demanded. She brought out her own lightsaber. He chuckled. "Yourselves, of course."
Guest Ψιτιsτηε Βεsτ Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Pucky narrowed his eyes. “Tell us your business or be gone.”
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 "The Dark Council would like me to see to your destruction," he replied. "I, Darth Krarik, have been assigned to eliminate certain targets. In this case, that would be your elders." Feisyyd didn't reply, but glanced at Royalos. "Though I admit," Krarik added, "that I - personally - would be much more inclined to simply kill everyone I can find."
Mags she/they Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 "So I take that's what a 'sith' is." Cloud muttered to himself. He instinctively moved in front of Nayli, who seemed kind of scared.
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 "I assure you that most Sith are of a different... 'flavor' than I, you could say." Krarik approached them, leisurely but with purpose. "Not unlike how you don't seem akin to these other Jedi. Tell me, child - what can I call you?"
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 He fell quiet, then chuckled. "You find yourself quite amusing, don't you?" "That's enough of this," Feisyyd said, igniting her lightsaber to bathe herself in a pale green glow. "Come no closer." Krarik stopped. "Is that so?"
Mags she/they Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote He fell quiet, then chuckled. "You find yourself quite amusing, don't you?" "Well of course, otherwise I wouldn't say stuff out loud," he said with a smile.
Scars of Hathsin he/him Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Reelwiron ignites his lightsaber in is saberstaff mode, "Step no closer Sith" he spits out, like the words are poison.
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 "I've stopped moving." He gestured to himself. "A bit slow, are you?"
Through the Living Elan He/Him Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Away from this confrontation… Rukk helped move the younglings to a safe room in the middle of the Jedi temple. They were quickly packed in and he slammed the door. He counted them, then paused. Counted again. Who were they missing? Then it hit him. The Ewok. He wasn’t here.
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 By now, the nearest Jedi Knights and Masters had arrived. There weren't many, considering how thin the Order had spread itself across this planet - but still, this was the most well-fortified and defended areas on all of Tython. More battle-ready Jedi lived here than anywhere else in the galaxy at this point. So why by the Whils had this one adversary come here? "If you all would like to avoid any unnecessary carnage, I suggest your surrender yourselves." Krarik's hands remained away from his lightsaber, though the hilt was now displayed across his belt for all to see. "The Dark Council does not wish for me to slaughter your young - in fact, they've offered every Youngling and Padawan full amnesty under the New Empire." "I'll not give up my own to be tainted by your Dark ways," Master Feisyyd replied. She fell into Makashi Form, steadying her breaths in anticipation.
Scars of Hathsin he/him Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Reelwiron following his master, split his blade into two and fell into the 7th form, " I will not partake in a tainted empire" he snarls to himself.
Mags she/they Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 "I would rather you not murder people either sooooo, I guess that means we can't be friends." Cloud said, igniting his lightsaber.
Ravenclawjedi42 Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 (edited) Rajib looks up from scribbling something down one a piece of paper. They put their pen away and pull out a lightsaber instead. “Darth Krarik, you said? I don’t think I’ve heard of you. What rank do you hold among the Sith?” Quote What species is Krarik? Edited September 3, 2023 by Ravenclawjedi42
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Uhhhh... [finds randomizer] He's an Arkanian! Krarik glanced down at his lightsaber, then back at Feisyyd. "Prove it, then." A deep breath out, then a sharp breath in - Master Feisyyd smoothed the wrinkles in the Force flowing in rigid bumps and notches across her consciousness, shifting them back into concentrated waves of distinction. The Essence of the universe, condensed into a calm ocean, surrounded herself and everything for miles around. She could feel every breath and shift in the air, as well as the murmured fears from her companions... but most of all she felt a stillness unlike any other emanating from this mysterious foe: one that rivaled even the wisest on the Jedi Council. Certainly, this was no Sith Warrior or Dark Savant - the cold patience and calculation betrayed his true purpose. She would have to kill him, here and now. Intent burst across the field of Force sensation almost simultaneously, and with a mutual rush of strength they flashed at one another for the initial strike. Momentum carried her blade straight for his heart, but before she had even seen his lightsaber ignite the Assassin deflected it. A burst of strikes erupted between them, blades spinning and whipping about with trails of green against red. The sound and sight was familiar, but the sensation of contact was unlike any she'd felt before: the Attunement of his blade was more potent than even her own, drawing her strikes to swipe ever so slightly slower than his. It took six, seven... eight clashes for him to draw Feisyyd into his advantage. The nudges and beckonings were so subtle even within his Intent that perhaps few others would have ever been able to detect them - and, therefore, anyone to continue fighting in this same way would ultimately find a lightsaber beam slashing across their body. He'd trapped her in a checkmate. For a moment his thoughts betrayed him: Certainty. That was all she detected from the one called Krarik. Feisyyd swept her blade out in a long arc to bring herself instead into Form Niman. Certainly he'd expected this, but she saw no other option: it was all she could do within the next few strikes just to push him back even inches. Two clashes, then a swipe up towards his face: one he easily avoided with a backstep, giving her time enough to leap away. She was panting, covered in sweat. He was smirking, blade held aside casually in amusement. "Care to rethink your answer, Master Feisyyd?" Darth Krarik asked.
