I'll just say, from a psychology standpoint, youtube/videogames aren't that helpful for mental health breaks (at least in larger quantities). Cuz mindless screens and such tend to just be easy distractions from processing emotions and such. Honestly taking a break from screens for several hours can help a lot, and doing stuff like reading/journalling/going for a walk/playing with pets can be more restorative, and just taking time to sit and process things 
And ofc sleep is great :sylheart:

Ooh my school doesn’t “have” them per say. It’s what we call staying home cause you’re stressed out. The school doesn’t like people missing school for any reason. I dont care tho i just stay home regardless.

Get 7-8 hrs of sleep! It's been proven numerous time to help both physical and mental health tremendously

I get 4 and feel normal, so I find that really interesting, but I think it's a possible cause of something called SSS (short sleeper syndrome) but I am unsure

It is possible, though it's pretty rare. You can definitely get less sleep and feel fine, but you might feel better if you had more. And even if you feel physically fine/functional, sleeping more also has a bunch of mental health benefits that may not be as noticable

Yes, ok so I should clarify.
the video games? That’s cause i need to do something that got that strategy and keeping my brain going and that helps me sort through stuff. Its a strange thing, the moving and needing to focus allowed my head to sort through stuff… does that make sense?

journalling,……. I dont really like. 1 my memory is horrible. 2 i cant write well cause tendinitis. 3… i lose them. Also if my mom finds them…. Im cooked

I do go for walks and or jumps on the trampoline when i can. Alas it’s freezing cold. 

Whenever im home alone. I eaither. A call someone beacuse im paranoid. Or b put music in both ears and walk the house singing and dancing. If i dont feel like that. Lie yesterday. I got on the treadmill and put it as high as it can go, (5mph) and ran until i couldn’t. Then flopped down and tried to sleep but I didn’t. I love running, a lot. Whenever the yelling got loud or i got stressed i would go outside and sprint around the block as fast as i can.

I can process stuff by just sitting. Otherwise my brain goes all over and i forget what i was trying to do.

my friends help me to. When the divorce was first announced i straight up went to my friends house and just cried while watching tv and then wow i sorted through it.

that and music. If I find music i deem relatable or real i listen to it cause hearing songs that i relate to help me. Hence citizen soldier. I relate to wayyy to many of their songs. 

My brain is weird. Did any of that make any sense as to why i do what i do?

Yep that's valid. And I think videogames are generally better than just youtube or whatever, since you are actively doing tthings and using your brain.

Exercise, friends, and music are all great :sylheart:  The gym is always my go-to therapy (My usual pair of gym sweats say "Iron therapy" on them lol) And listening to music, even sad music, can be super helpful. Many people with depression report slightly lessened symptoms after listening to sad music, because it fosters a sense of validation/solidarity, because you know others feel the same way as you

The only reason i dont frequently work out is actually two reasons. One blood sugar issues. And two, i aint gonna gain muscle regardless I’ve tried. I got dem mucsle issues. Yeah…. I am so storming weak

I try. Luckily i got sleep meds. They can knock me out like bam and im like 😴 

if i fight the meds then it backfires a lot.  fought the meds last night and now i hate life. my everything is aching and im tired and cant focus even less then normal
