"You know I'm here, right?"

"Well yes, but did you have any idea who the Beorin were before you were told about them?" Shim didn't mention that hadn't had any idea who the Beorin were until he'd started following this group either.

"Only myths and tales. They aren't the most intriguing thing out there."

"No. I'm not trying to defend myself here, I'm just saying that this is a strange argument. It's also a pointless one."

Also, I don't think Shim would have either...? Not sure.

"I'm trying to show this annoyance that I'm more than just a pale copy of you. It's not pointless."

The Beorin would've reached out to the Kkhlei before coming into the universe, right? He could've heard of them from that.

Maybe, but I doubt it would be anything significant. So not the best point to base an argument off of.

"Our abilities have some overlap, but are fundamentally different. You are also a different person than I am. So no, you are not any sort of copy of me. There, we're done."

"Well, I uh, I did get a good look around one of their ships while you were all sitting around arguing about the best way to sneak past them, but, otherwise..." Shim sighed,  light shifting towards a light red. "I'm about as new to them as the others."

Shim's stopped cloaking the ship now that everyone's inside and the door is closed.

"Right-o. It is... flyin' time..." Ayia started by pulling out the operator's manual to check the model. "22-A-94, huh? This is an old one. Good to know. Everyone buckled up?"

oh yeah

wow, I suck at keeping promises

"Powering up..." Ayia flicked the master switch. She'd always found it a little strange that Beorin had one of those in the first place, but figured they had a good reason for it.

All the lights flickered on, glowing through buttons and labels alike. She continued snapping levers and switches into place, before settling her arms back down onto the throttle.

"We have about three minutes, starting..." The engine began to whirr. "Now."

Strohger sat on the floor. It was surprisingly sanitary, so Aiya was right. Huh.

"How long until we reach the portal?"

"Is that good? Or is that bad?"
