Munazir Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 “The Coinshot cried out as she approached. Vin flipped a coin and shot it at him. He, of course, Pushed back—but Vin anchored herself against the bronze roof and flared Steel, Pushing with a firm effort. The man’s own Steelpush—transmitted from the coin, to Vin, to the roof—launched him out into the air. ” I thought you could move only move a metal or move away from a metal directly away from it. If she’s pushed away from the roof shouldn’t she go upwards.

If she’s pushed away from the roof shouldn’t she go upwards. More quotes: Quote They stood beside an angled rooftop skylight; Vin had passed several similar ones as she ran. One of the figures pointed toward the skylight, a weapon glittering in its hand. in cried out, Pushing herself off the bronze roof in an arcing jump. She landed in the very center of the surprised group of people, then thrust her coin pouch upward, ripping it in two. [...] Vin slid across the rooftop, then Pulled herself to a brief halt, spinning with one hand resting against the cold bronze. This suggest that the roof was angled or at least its portion with the skylight was angled. In that case Vin could push herself against an angled roof and that push would be in line with the coin push. She is more or less horizontally between the angled roof and the coin. Behold, my mastery of paint: Spoiler The red arrow is showing you a place and direction of Vin's push. It is more or less in a straight line from the coin, through Vin to that arrow. 2

Ah so her push would have thrust her forwards instead of up and instead of pushing her forwards it pushed
