Nathan, Remington, Voidgaze, Big Al, Sam, Revolution, the Unicyclist, and…um….Cricket doesn't seem too bad.

Allow me to quote Funtimes:

Yet I somehow don't get the feeling that were Nighthound to be calmly informed of the situation, he would burst into a childlike grin, grab hands with Nathan and Funtimes, and sing several rousing choruses of "Kumbaya." :P

Not that bad given that I didn´t actually count. :P

Then why does she keep almost stripping him on every occasion?

It would turn into more of a just between you and me speech plus some at least try to behave from now on.

Because his clothes make good weapons for someone who can turn them into acid, and he makes her want to hurt him. :P

That….does not sound as comforting as it's probably supposed to…..

Still Want your cake after you ate it, don´t you. :P

I hope not, because that wasn´t suppossed to be comforting at all.

And here's the Chimera pony:

Chimera_zpsa428f0b5.png

Are those horns? It's hard to tell. I like it though. With the description of what I said he wears, I half thought the pony was going to have a bear skin draped over him. :P thanks!

Lucentia has a role in Project Amber, so that might be a consideration.

When will we find out about this mysterious Project Amber anyways?

Aldo, Cricket, Sam... the list of unshipped characters goes on and on. :P

Here's a Night-Mare pony! She'll probably end up getting a new cutie mark once I find a usable icon.

Cool! I really like it, but yeah, the cutie mark could be better.

Edit: and Voidus, what do you want to do with SS and Chi?

When will we find out about this mysterious Project Amber anyways?

...Once it's gone from "concept with a cool name" to "plan"? :P

Here's what I have so far:

Project Amber starts with a supposition: it presupposes that the goal of finding CorpseMaker's weakness is a very difficult and time-consuming process with little likelihood of success. It therefore seeks to neutralize CM's threat through a method that has been shown to be moderately effective in the past: permanent containment.

The core of the plan involves a concentrated attack on CM's territory, with the end goal of methodically eliminating his highest-ranking Epics and transporting Lucentia within striking distance of the man himself. It is believed that a CorpseMaker sealed within a solid block of diamond will be incapable of any hostile actions, and once the block has been hidden in a hard-to-access location--for example, the Moon--he will effectively cease to be a player in Oregon politics.

Given the unlikelihood of Lucentia surviving long against CM on her own, elements must be introduced to distract CM and allow her to freeze him unmolested. Elements of chaos must be inserted within his territory, and his major lieutenants must be neutralized. For this, Project Amber posits that a small nuclear device could be obtained, either through the looting of a surviving military bunker or through the unique abilities of Doctor Funtimes. This device could be activated in the airspace above CM's territory, producing an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) which would destroy sophisticated technology within his part of the city. It is expected that this would destroy the robots under his control, thus giving an invading taskforce a fighting chance.

The invading taskforce would be spearheaded by the Empire of Light, with Nighthound and Lightwards leading a charge into his territory to engage CM's human and Epic forces. For maximum surprise effect, Funtimes could be used to teleport them within the center of the defended territory.

The task of transporting Lucentia within striking distance of CorpseMaker would fall largely upon Thoughttown's forces. It is posited that a trio consisting of Altermind, Sightline, and Lucentia could be easily moved through the city and placed within a couple of yards of CM. Altermind would cast an illusion to conceal them from CorpseMaker's killing sight; Sightline would move them through the city too speedily for CM to see through the hallucination. If CorpseMaker could be successfully sealed within a diamond crystal, it is hoped that his surviving forces will surrender.

There are, however... flaws in the plan. Specifically, any action taken by Murphy will introduce an element of misfortune that could cause the entire plan to unravel in seconds. If so, then the only backup solution yet conceived of is to let the writers pull a deus ex machina and allow Sightline to uncover CorpseMaker's weakness.

Amendments and criticisms of the "plan" are welcome. At this point, the plan still incorporates a number of holes which could be exploited by the enemy.

So who would have the honor of playing Princess Celestia in that scenario? :P

The thing is, Sightline knows Corpsemaker's weakness. Only he doesn't know he knows it. :P

What about the other elements of the concept? Anything salvageable?

Its pretty cool plan.  Unfortunately, like you said, Murphy is a major distraction, as I personally see his power as something that is completely useless, unless he is being attack or something similar.  So maybe someone pinpoints it to him, and tries to take him out?

Yeah. It might be necessary to assassinate Murphy--somehow, some way--before the rest of the plan can be set into action.

Or he might switch sides, based on the firepower that he sees on both sides, depending on how likely he is to betray people.

You'll have to wait and see. Joe is the one who gets to choose when to reveal it. :P

Murphy is quite annoying. A sniper? The gun will jam or the bullets will ricochet. A knife? Something awful will happen to you on the way there. Joe, does Murphy have to be somewhat aware of the threat? Like, would poison work?

As I understand it, his assassination would have to be an accident. Like, Scorch is reassigned to kitchen duty, isn't paying attention because he's so mad, and accidentally pours three cups of antifreeze into Murphy's soup.

So could we secretly attach a bomb to an oblivious vanilla and have him wander around where he's likely to bump into Murphy? How indirect does an attempt on his life have to be?

Indirect, not glaringly obvious. :P I'm sure Murphy would know to avoid the guy wandering around with a bomb strapped to his ankle. ;) And I think it has to be so indirect that even the person doing it thinks it's unintentional. Like with Scorch. It would either have to be someone who didn't know Murphy was in a building before they bombed it, or a moron who thought antifreeze flavored soup was normal. :P

I have no idea. Is this guy even killable?

I think for the Halloween RP, I'll be claiming Empathy, just so you guys know.

No. No, he isn't. I suspect that not even Joe can kill him off now, as any literary attempt to kill his character would result in unreadable typos or his computer crashing in the middle of writing.  <_<  :P

Cool! That will be interesting to see.  :)

Speaking of the Halloween RP.....(hidden to preserve Voidus' sanity)....

Slaughterhouse inflicts damage on people. Koschei is a healer. Whoever they target could be realistically subjected to hours, if not days, of torment as Slaughterhouse "perfects his artwork." And you know the worst part?

I think they're going to get along swimmingly.

They might even become friends.

I hope nobody has any projects to work on over the month of October, 'cuz I'm getting the feeling that none of us are going to get any sleep in that particular month.

Actually, that might be the perfect month to work on projects, what with all the extra time we might've spent sleeping. #lookingontheverydimbrightside

Since this is a question thread, I'd like to ask another Epic question. Would Funtimes care if something one of her servants cared about--like, say, Revolution's commune--came into danger? Would she try to preserve their happiness, or is her interest so narrowly focused on them that she'd stand idly by as their old lives burned?

Of course not. Not if Revolution made it clear that she cared about the commune. She agreed to Nathan's costume suggestion and gave him a breakfast burrito when she saw he didn't like the bacon donuts. Just take that small consideration, multiply it by a million or so, and you have a good reason for Funtimes to help Revolution save her commune. It's no fun having friends if your friends aren't happy with you. ;)
