Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Congratulations. You definitely won the theme song contest. *applause* Yay! Do I get a prize?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Yay! Do I get a prize? Yes, but to see it, you have to hear the smell of buttered toast, so it's kind of difficult to feel. 4
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Can I taste the sound of the smell of buttered toast afterwards? 4
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Can I taste the sound of the smell of buttered toast afterwards? Only if you can smell the color nine first. 3
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Only if you can smell the color nine first. Nine? But he smells like middle c! 3
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Random question, Edge: How long has Deathgale been working for Lucentia? I'm working out Remington's backstory now. They never meet him, just mention him, but I was wondering if the timeframe is right.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Edge, the Epic that Electro recruited is Freeze, not Frozen. Just thought I should clarify that. Fixed. Same here. Unless it's The Hunger Games, you know she's going to pick the "bad boy." It's a cartoon on Disney XD about twins Mabel and Dipper Pines whose parents send them on a summer trip to Gravity Falls, Oregon, where they encounter supernatural beings and lots of insanity. If you're still not convinced, watch Mabel learn the truth about her new boyfriend. I love those icons. The number of good love-triangles I could think of is small at best. I´ll search for it. Well then I´ll go and smell on the crumbling sound of fresh waffes. Edited September 13, 2014 by Edgedancer 1
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I'm thinking of doing a Strongsteel post but the introductions seem to be over with and I'm not really sure what's going on in TT at the moment. Any suggestions?

His story takes place two years prior, so they wouldn't have heard of Deathgale by that point. It was just a small reference, so I'll just take it out. I'll just go to sleep and dream about feeling the smell of coconut wafting through the air.

Any suggestions? Maybe reactions to Altermind´s offer or just asking him if he has a job for you or where your rooms are. All right. At least not in connection with Lucentia but he was still around the fractured states at that time, so it´s not impossible to have heard of him period. May the choclate looking sheep sing you a tasty song.
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Oh and Edge I just realized if NH is going around looking for Epics in the area he'd probably stumble upon Refill and Zip
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Oh and Edge I just realized if NH is going around looking for Epics in the area he'd probably stumble upon Refill and Zip The question is, how much effort does he put into searching. Depending on that are three options: 1) He just calls quits and heads back to the museum. 2) He searches and finds other random cannon fodder Epics for example incognito (can turn invisible/ which would also need an okay from TwiLyght) 3)He meets them which would either lead to them being recruited from Penumbra to the empire or a fight and I´m not sure if I would like their chances. Honestly it´s your pick. By the way, I´m currently working on an alternative version of the cottage scene where Lucentia is a nice person, it involves a shiny Epic dance party. (Am I the only one that wants to order their points with A) ect but can´t because turns into sunglasses?) Edited September 13, 2014 by Edgedancer 1
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 They might surprise you, Zip could trap NH with his abilities and I have realized that Refill can do pretty well offensively, he can hyper-fill someones veins with their blood until every vein in their body bursts, not lethal to NH but it'd sure hurt a lot. But as they are at the moment they'd not be too inclined to fight, if NH approached them they'd probably join the empire pretty quickly.

Not by the definition of their powers in the Epics of Oregon thread. Maybe I´m reading them wrong or you changed them a bit around in your head but here´s my take. Zip´s for one are stated to work on objects, which for me excludes humans unless otherwise noted, so that can´t be it and they only take up less space, so a cage both big and solid enough to hold Nighthound would still be way to heavy to just carry around. Refill is only stated to affect drinks and I would personally say that even if he can use his abillity on humans he, at the very least, would need to touch his veines for this trick to work, which wouldn´t be all that easy either.
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I haven't really updated their bios since they became chars, Zip can't use his powers on a person directly but he can stick them in a room then shrink the door down so they can't get out. Refill was originally a joke idea so I'll have to update his. But yeah, they wouldn't be able to do much other than try to trap him then run, they couldn't hold up against a prime invincibility.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Wouldn´t he have to shrink the entire room/building, so it doesn´t just leave a hole where the door used to be and if he did that what would happen to the other objects in the room? While I´m at it, how fast does the compression work? Edited September 13, 2014 by Edgedancer
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 His power's kind of weird, he's not technically shrinking it, he's just compressing its space, so it'd still be touching the walls on all sides. He can shrink an entire building and everything in it if he wanted to but it'd take a while, he could do just a door in about a second, a whole building would take a few minutes.

Okay you lost me, if he compresses the door and only the door it would still be the same amount of door just in less space, when relatively to the rest of the world, so either it isn´t touching the wall anymore because the space where it touched it got compressed into another point or the wall stretches out to keep contact, which would be another power entierly. Otherwise I fail to see what "Compressing the door" would mean. What would happen if a person is in that room while it gets compressed?
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Well he can't create more space, so when he shrinks one piece of space relative to everything else, there's literally nothing where the door was, not even empty space, like I said his power's very weird. The person would seem to be shrunk by anyone outside of the house, but as soon as they left they'd be normal sized again, he can attach a bubble of shrunk space to an object so if it moves it stays shrunk, he can't do that to anything that's alive. To a certain extent I needed to just wave it away as magic because this is all physics that's way beyond anything I know about. To a certain extent I needed to just wave it away as magic because this is all physics that's way beyond anything I know about. That really does seem weird. The door and the wall are seperate objects, even if they are connected, so why would this create nothingness but shrinking a bag down not create the same nothingness between the bag and the air. (This isn´t even bringing up the hinges.)
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It would create the same nothingness, we just wouldn't be able to tell. At least I think we wouldn't, my brain starts hurting when I think about it too much. This is what I get for trying to create an underpowered version of Mobius. :S
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 If it makes you feel better, I also don´t understand this. The only thing I do understand is that if the nothingness can stop Nighthound from exiting the room it should also glue all objects shrinked to the air around them, making them impossible to use.
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It's not that it would stop him really, it's just that... yeah I have no words to describe what it is I kind of have a vague image of how it works in my mind but I'm not entirely sure how to turn it into words.
