Oh I've long since considered AonDor to be the most powerful magic system

It almost certainly is the most powerful. It's just the most restrictive. I'd also guess it takes the most time to perform so it'd be slower than other magics like Allomancy or Surgebinding when being used in combat.

but to some degree it could be set up in advance. we see Aon "tech" in Elantris with the light panels, for instance, which only need to be touched to activate. presumably you could create something akin to a DnD wand with Aons if you were sufficiently skilled.

I mean he does a double take when he sees her, he once courted a deaf woman but implied he ruined it but puking, like Charlie, he rambles the same way, said his family dragged him away from home, hoid said so many journeys would end early if the heroine realized the thing she she was searching for was right next to her the whole time haha, I noticed several of these on my first listen but it didn't click until that last clue by narrator hoid when she became sprouter. My meta brain knew he'd need to be in the narrative somehow, plus it's a parallel to Princess Bride as intended.

I'm loving the graphic audio so far, it's always the best way to experience the cosmere and the regular audiobooks are a pale shadow of them without the full cast, and especially actually having the Hoid VA as narrator as intended, he's been perfect across all the main series.

I figured it out early on when they were on the smuggler’s ship. He mentioned thinking about telling the smugglers he had nothing interesting to say but thought better of it. That reminded me of Charlie as his whole defense against the would be brides was to not have anything interesting to say. From then on, everything else just confirmed it.

It was almost painful how Tress didnt notice until the end (Of course, then where’d the story be?). Like when she wasn’t feeling well after Crow kept her from leaving the ship and Huck talked to her about random things on the island to make her feel better. If there was ever something iconic to Charlie, it’s exactly that.

I think I got it surprisingly late, given my track record. It was revealed to me at the same time as the other characters. I got basically everything else though, just missed that one piece. I figured out early that he was cursed like Hoid, but I don't know why it never crossed my mind that he was a character we already knew.

Yeah, I didn't figure it out until it was revealed. I wasn't trying very hard, because I didn't feel that suspicious of Huck.

That wouldn't be the case anymore, but I didn't get terribly suspicious of a lot of characters back then.

When I saw this forum lol (I already finished Tress a few months back, but saw this thread while reading and got an unfortunate spoiler, but it wasn't too bad). This has happened to me before, because I have a tendency to look up all these things and end up unintentionally finding spoilers like Thaidakar's identity, sometimes just by typing it into the search bar (advice: don't).
