As he did so, Klave nearby tripped over a body in the snow.

He stopped, leaning down and lifting the body out of the snow to get a better look.

As Gone felt the cold, he immediately yelped. He pulled his rags close around his body, already starting to shiver.

Rayvyn seems surprised by this, but accepts it without comment. “I don’t recognize them. Let’s keep moving.”

It was a tall boy, likely in his late teens or early 20s. He was tall, with neat brown hair and striking green eyes. He gasped. "Who are you?"

Gone looked at the dead body, seeming frozen. When Fadran tried to hand him the warm clothes, he didn't grab them. He just stared.

No, there's nothing particularly meaningful about this. He's just... never seen a dead body before, and is suitably horrified.

Sheesh, Archie; how many characters do you have?

Fadran shoved a coat at him. "Goodness. Are you okay?"

“You’re alive?” Rayvyn asks, though the question is pointless. She turns back to him. “We don’t have time to waste. Come with us, or go through that portal there.”

"I'm Klave. Who are you?"

Bookwyrm stepped through the portal.

Nearly left us behind, Perideria said. Rude.

I think that's our fault, mostly, Bookwyrm replied.

The chill wind grasped at him immediately. He wrapped his cloak around himself and it began warming him with it's magic. He pulled the hood over his head and walked over to the rest of the group.

Rayvyn rolled her eyes. “Did you all forget that we have a child to save, and we’re in enemy territory? What happened to killing everyone, Klave?”

He took the coat. "Fine. I need to find someone."

He looked around, searching. "I'll come with you, I guess."

"I'm Klave. Who are you?"

"Name's Lerac." He reached to shake Klave's gloved hand.

“Great, everyone’s friends,” Rayvyn muttered. “Should we keep going, or would you all like to stop and chat, maybe have lunch while you’re at it?”

"Who're you looking for?"

"Her name is Wynn. I just got separated from her. And by the way, me being here means there's probably also an angry god around."

Light, you have a lot of characters friend.

“Lovely, angry deities.” Rayvyn says. “Someone knows how to fight those, right? One of you magic users? Thank you! Let’s go.”

"Angry gods is fine." Fadran threw a coat around himself. "Anyways, if you're sticking with us, then we need to get moving. We're looking for a friend."

Lerac nodded, and began trudging along with the group. "What exactly is the situation here?"

“Do we have to explain this again? A child got kidnapped, we’re here to save him, and I don’t know why we haven’t killed—” she glances at Fadran. “That is, why we stopped to talk to you, since there’s a very good chance you kidnapped him.”

"Well, I did not kidnap a child, and you seem a bit presumptuous. Who exactly is this that got kidnapped?"

While everyone else was distracted by the stranger, Klave walked out ahead of the group, picking up speed as he headed towards the silhouette.

Wat. Not a corpse, and they are walking to it.
