The portal appeared as a freestanding doorway, glowing with an etheral light. It looked perfectly normal otherwise (if any door could look normal without a wall to accompany it), though a certain lack of rightness seemed to surround the whole thing. It could technically open from both ends, though Fadran stood at one side to make sure everyone lined up properly.

"So this is the plan!" He announced, a little miffed at having to make a mission already. "We're going to go through here and we are going to rescue Tacien. That is our primary goal, and this mission will be considered a fail if we don't complete that. Depending on the situation, we might be able to capture some of this organization's agents - if we do, please do not harm them. Just restrain or incapacitate who you can and rendez-vous back at the portal to bring them back here.

"In the event that we find ourselves in a large complex or some other kind of place where Tacien's location is unclear, we're to split into teams of three. I'll be with Cufre and Rayvyn if that is the case. Nath will lead one, Enter will lead another; all the leftovers can figure it out from there. You are not to kill anyone unless absolutely necessary." He stared pointedly at Rayvyn. "Everyone got that?"

Klave nodded. "I will abide by these terms. And I would go with Nath's team if we are to split u., Is that is acceptable?"

Rayvyn nods sharply. If nothing else, she can do as she's told. "Very well. Let's go." She discreetly wipes poison off the blades of her knives.

Yay! I'm not a leftover!

Klave took a deep breath, walking towards the portal and getting in line to enter. I will not kill unless absolutely necessary. But I suspect my standards are slightly different than Fadran's for "absolutely necessary". He didn't say that out loud, of course. He just stared at the door, a look of resolve on his face, and waited for everyone to be ready.

He did not respond, or even nod or shake his head. He simply drew a little closer, and sat down next to her.

"I can't tell," mumbled Ilvaite, sinking to her knees.

The tiles stretched down the hallway in both directions now, and the lights overhead had been replaced with fluorescent tubes.

He placed a hand on hers, as though in comfort. It was solid, but the layer of frost made it almost unbearably cold. Then, in a flash of light, he was gone.

Somewhere in the Inn.

Ilvaite shivered. The air was noticeably cooler now, and getting colder.

Gone nodded. "I want to go with you. Is that okay? If not, I can stay behind."

i'm just going to say that someone says it's okay. Because the other stuff already happened.

Cufre rushed in as well.

The group found themselves in a blizzard. The winds were incredible, the snow darkening the area and frequently blinding them. It was difficult to make out anything at all, except for a very faint silhouette of some sort of shed in the distance.

Rayvyn went through immediately after Cufre.
