"It's not very specific, is it?"

"Specifics are useless with the information we have. You should come, since your brother will trust you. You take him, come back here, and whoever wishes to stay and eradicate them will do so."

"Uh-huh. Is that... necessary? I know they're bad people, but eradicate?"

"Yes. Those who would abuse a child for power deserve no mercy."

"You should know that Tacien has a really bad reaction when people he is at all connected to die. Like that person who attacked us."

Obsidian regarded Dave for a moment. Then he extended his hand, reaching out to grab Dave's arm.

Ilvaite opened her eyes.

She was in a room she had never been in before. It was well furnished, but completely empty.

"Hello?" she called out.

Dave brushed away a link of chain that was coiled around his hand and then grabbed Obsidian's hand with a curious smile.

Klave studied Gone for a moment, face contemplative, then turned to Rayvyn. "A plan. I have a plan. we go to whatever place Tacien has been taken, retrieve him, and kill everyone there who is not a victim like Tacien." He hesitated. "Perhaps we could take a few captive, for interrogation. To ensure that we can entirely wipe out the organization behind the kidnapping."

Rayvyn nods. "I like that plan. It's not too harsh, in case they truly believe they were doing good, but it stops them from doing further damage. I can provide a quick way there and back as needed."

"I still think we should avoid killing people in general."

By now, Rayvyn has realized that asking why won't do any good. "I thought you cared about your brother," she says instead. "If we leave them alive, they'll just come back for him again."

Aww, we missed the thousandth reply here!

"I do care about him. And it will hurt him more that we know if he believes that he is responsible for anyone's death. He was completely unreachable after that attacker was killed at our house."

"A mercy? In what way?"

Rayvyn rolls her eyes. "You'll never agree with me Cufre, but death is a mercy. If we could help him believe that, it might not hurt him so much."

"Death is rarely a mercy. People want to do thing with their lives. These people want to do terrible things, but you won't convince him that killing anyone isn't a big deal. I think... he sees their past."

"...Oh. That would be an issue. It can be harder to kill people when you know about them, I suppose." She sighs. "Fine, we won't kill them until Tacien is long gone, and we'll make sure he never finds out."

"No. He'll know. He always does."

"We still have to do it. I am sorry for the pain it will cause him, but it needs to be done." She turns to Klave. "You understand the need to kill them, don't you?"

I'm sorry, but I need to get my few hours of sleep tonight. I'll be back tomorrow.

I sense a contradiction.

Don't worry, I'll just assume you lied the first time over.

Anyways, I'm afraid my character is going to stay stuck almost alone at the inn. Oh well.

Also, I got seven new pages by the time I returned. I think I have the highest score for now. And I'm going to jeep it, too, because I don't log in during Shabbat, which is basically the entire Saturday.

Hey, me too. Do you want to set up some sort of other plotline at the inn?

Azra sighed, looking at the group gathering to leave to rescue that boy. She considered asking to go, but something itched at her, something that told her she’d be more useful inside the inn than out of it.

She turned away from the window and set off in the direction that Iyin was leading her.
