Everyone is being a feruchemist XD makes sense but I just love Allomancy more because then I don't have to spend all that time feeling weak and storing up the attribute. I do think the feruchemy in everyday life is a bit better, but also being a coinshot is just so amazing to me! Then, on top of that, being a pewterarm and having the grace and strength that comes from that without having to store it up. I'd just be more happy with that then with feruchemy I think. Just need to explain to my metal dealer why I keep needing more metals constantly.....maybe explain that I swallow it......

I go back and forth on these things so often.  I was on a huge feruchemy kick.... until I thought about cosmere wide mashups.  Then copper hit me... I just think copper allomancy in any world where magic exists is way to valuable(and if I have magic it exists haha).

6 months ago it would have been feruchemist all the way.  Now I just love the flexibility and low key nature of being a mistborn.  The books made them so flamboyant.  Everyone knew when one was nearby but noone was supposed to know who it was... I think smoking my own power as often as possible would be such a boon.

100% if I was constantly storing and tapping I think it would have the horrible side effect of me feeling like I was mentally ill.  That or else a complete drug head.  I don't see how you can have massive swings like that and not have it effect your psych (other than the plug that is "because investiture is magic").  I guess using metal for allomancy is the same thing but I don't see allomancy as leaving you with such large differences.

That said I know feruchemy is much more titratable than allomancy in that you don't have to have super high highs or super low lows... just if you want the flashier more useful uses out of the magic.

unless you're a spooky boi who constantly flairs tin or pewter.

I also think that pewter gives you enough strength as you would need. spook easily rips off wooden boards off a window w one hand. and drops out a second story window and hits the ground running.

Feruchemy. It is just more versatile and allround useful. Some metals benefit you both storing and tapping, BTW: brass, bendalloy, tin, while iron is actually mainly useful for storing. Storing mental speed in zinc could also help when doing something simple, repetitive and boring, but necessary. Or to fall asleep sooner, etc. I also don't think that storing speed and strength when you are relaxing or engaging in something requiring primarily mental activity would be all that miserable. Etc.

F-Tin is actually much better than A-Tin, given that you can chose what sense to enhance, so wouldn't be so vulnerable to distractions or sense overload. And also, in the era of unkeyed metalminds, well, there are WoBs that it can store senses from powers, like bronze sense or steelsight. Maybe even sense of balance and timing that constitutes A-pewter's "grace"? A really underated and extremely versatile ability, in other words.

And sure, you can't fly without technical aids with Feruchemy, but you would be able to make big jumps or fly muscle-powered gliders, where iRL the main obstacle for it  is human weight. Oh, and F-tin would, of course help detecting helpful air currents. So, lots of cool applications, beyond the merely useful ones, IMHO.

Ferechumist  I think the powers would be more practical and you'd be more able to use it in your everyday life.

You'd also be able to share your powers, as being a full Feruchemist would be enough to make an unsealed medallion-style metalmind!

Even without compounding health, imagine if at more or less the same effort, you could store health into a goldmind but without Identity (unkeyed), and then could create an unkeyed nicrosilmind granting F-gold. You'd now have the ultimate first aid kit for not just yourself, but anyone who you told what it could do.

Humanitarian ideals side, other unsealed metalminds would make very valuable and all but impossible to figure out performance enhancers to pro sports athletes, too.

I would love to be a Feruchemist. The idea of me being able to store attributes I don't need at the moment is perfect. Imagine having a job where you stand around for a long time and then you can store up speed for when you need to get somewhere. Or if you live in a desert, you can store your warmth and stay cold during the summers. To me, a feruchemist has more unique and more versatile powers compared to being a Mistborn

I'd go Full Feruchemist. While lacking some of the cooler powers of Mistborn, it would be far more convenient overall in my opinion

I agree, I love the idea of of storing Speed and Health though, those two put me over the edge

Definitely full feruchemist. I think that storing wakefulness would be a game changer, and speed as well. I actually forgot about storing fortune until I read some of the posts here, but that would have so many random uses in real life. Also, copper mines kind of seem like a dream come true. I would store so much stuff that would only be important to remember in certain situations. If you can store memories with copper, one thing I’ve been wondering is whether you could store a sequence of actions. Like if you do a kata enough times your body remembers it and you can do it without thinking. Could you store that? If so, I would memorize  songs on my saxophone to the point that I could play them instinctively, than I would take those memories right before a concert and it would be like I just played the song and it was fresh in my mind.

I would say mistborn mainly to have the abilities of a coinshot and be able to essentially fly

Honestly.  I was always on the feruchemist side of this argument until just a few months ago.  Now I am with you on mistborn.  We have access to all of the metals easily in our world and I don't ever have to spend time feeling less than...

Flying would be a fun benefit but I can see so many uses for all of the metals almost in my daily life.  Tin would be great for my job being able to be just that much more sensitive to sounds and smells when it comes to assessing patients.  Pewter is hugely beneficial in so many things.  Soothing and rioting could benefit everyone at some point.  Never have to get up to get the remote again... with iron and steel sight I would never lose the remote in the blankets either!   Speed bubbles would be such a boon.  More time for studying or doing just about anything, it also allows you to pass time when you are bored and just need to get to the next part of your day.

There are more useless metals in allomancy than feruchemy, but I never have to store and be weaker or sick or slower... and of course I can fly.

I think... *sigh* I dunno! I would love to fly and yeet myself around, but then I'd also like to be able to store away memories *thoughtful Telrao noises*

I'd probably go Mistborn, as it is end positive - you don't have so suffer in order to get an upgraded self. You can just eat metal! *om nom*

So, yeah! Mistborn.
