Many races of creatures come up from the basement and all gather around the statue.

The creatures begin to hum a melancholy tune.

Bookwyrm stood in front of the statue, behind Calano and Emma. He thought for a moment.

This...can't be right.

He glanced down at his hand. Stormlight had healed the wound from the chicken's knife, but he had no idea what else would happen to him.

He walked over to Nameless and Thaidakar. "I'm coming too," he said. "I need some answers."

The hand still burned a little, angry marks were where the knife had cut through the hand.

Why won't my powers heal it? Bookwyrm thought to himself. I mean, I know it was magic, but it's still disturbing...

Thaidakar, as if reading Bookwyrm's mind, said, "it won't heal properly because that knife shouldn't exist."

Nameless nodded to Bookwrym, then opened a gateway out of the clinic.

Thaidakar walked through, his thoughts on the knives.

Bookwyrm hesitated slightly before walking through the gateway, looking back at Calano and Emma.

I'll get some answers, he thought to them. I don't know if they'll be the answers we want, but I'll find them. 

Then he turned and followed Nameless and Thaidakar.

As soon as they were outside the clinic, Nameless held his hand out to Thaidakar. "Callandor?"

Thaidakar nodded, giving the crystal sword to Nameless, "just give it back once you are done with it."

[NameIess]

The sword that is not a sword began glowing fiercely, and Nameless opened another gateway and vanished.

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

Thaidakar sat down and said to Bookwyrm, "while we're waiting, I'd like to talk to you for a few minutes."

A distant explosion sounded, and a far-off mushroom cloud billowed up in the sky.
