Hi!

2021 was my year of Brandon Sanderson, I read the entire Cosmere (excluding WOK which I read in 2020) and the Cytoverse series. So I decided to join 17th shard because my friends are tired of hearing me freak out about Brando Sando and his books. Now I can geek out about this stuff with all of you guys. When I'm not reading Sanderson I am an architecture student in Kansas who really loves to learn and implement sustainability. I would love to hear from all of you guys about your Sanderson and non-Sanderson lives

I understand this pain all to well. I am still trying to manipulate, friends, family, associates, etc into getting into the cosmere. Even trying to convince my friends to let me run a mistborn ttrpg campaign. Youare in good company I assure you, we all can nerd out together.

I am very much trying to get my roommate to read at least mistborn and stormlight because she would love them, but so far I have yet to see it happen.

Unpopular opinion my favorite Sanderson book is probably Oathbringer because I love Dalinar's arc. My favorite non-Brandon books (because it's difficult to choose just one) are Daisy Jones and the Six, Frankenstein, Anything by Sarah J. Maas, and the Ember in the Ashes series. I've read a lot of young adult books and have just started to get into fantasy because of Brandon Sanderson.

I know this pain all too well. Also per a prior comment, can agree that Dalinar's arc is phenomenal.

@harleig_hHey, welcome to the Shard! I can definitely relate to bothering my irl friends way too much about the cosmere. I discovered the cosmere at the start of 2017 through this forum (even if I didn't start my first cosmere book until April that year). I was trying to find a wiki or a forum about Reckoners at the time. I'd discovered Brandon through the Reckoners and the Rithmatist well before I started reading the cosmere, though I obviously didn't look more into him soon enough. Do you have a favorite character from Brandon's books?

Have you had a chance to take the Knights Radiant quiz? If so, which order are you? If not, you can take that quiz here.

Also, there's a group of people here on the forums that run mafia games based on Sanderson's books. It's called Sanderson Elimination. If you're curious, you can take a read at the general rules here, and the signups for the next game can be found here.

Favorite character, is really hard but my gut says either Kaladin or Steris. It would probably be Steris if she was a bigger part of the Wax and Wayne series. 

I have taken the Knights Radiant quiz and I am a Truthwatcher, seeing as Brandon has said Renarin will be a bigger part of Stormlight 6-10 I'm super excited to get to see Truthwatchers in action (even if they do have spren corrupted by Sja-anat).
