The system as a whole also bears that moniker; I can see how you would consider "Rosharan" to include people of all three planets, the same way you could call the people of First of the Sun 'Drominadian' or something similar (Dromedaries?). 'Roshar,' however, narrows it down to the planet or the continent. Yeah this was my take on it (I think @Blightsong didn't notice me post the same WoB but doesn't matter ). Though I hadn't thought of Rosharan covering other Rosharan system worlds, was just thinking of the immigration issue because he emphasises the difference with native. Like someone who's been in Australia for 20 years we'd call Australian though may ask where they're from originally. But I do like the idea of Braize being both the Halls and Damnation. This brings to mind another mechanic; do we know how a shard can "unstick" themselves from a planet? Maybe the reason Odium is stuck in the Roshar system ( and I'm guessing Braize primarily ) is because there are still people alive originally of that world, so he can't move on until they're dead. I'm not sure how that'd work with the desolation cycles, nor how it factors into the breaking of the oath pact. Maybe once the heralds are well and truly dead, not just ported back to damnation ( which I'd love to know how that works too ), Odium is free to leave the system, and that's what the Oath Pact is all about.
