  1. Quicksilver watched it all play out on the screen. It had gone precisely as he had intended. Shank had finally been useful. He turned to Surveillance "Rewind it." Surveillance nodded and rewound the tape. "Stop. Now play it." He watched as the female Epic dove down at Shank, stopping his battery and killing him with one stroke. "Pause it." The screen froze, showing the girl's face as she looked down at Shank's corpse. Quicksilver grinned, she was good. It was too bad Vondra had taken her already, she would have been useful. He memorized what she looked like then turned to the Slivers in the room. "Enemy Epic, code name Edgedancer. Flight abilities, though we have previous footage of her climbing up walls. Can stop projectiles, though we are currently unsure how. We don't have any leads on a weakness, but she can be injured without it in play. She has been increasingly active. Shank is the second one she's killed, after Lockpick. Her and the rest of Vondra's goons have started stepping up security measures, and have become increasingly hostile. Keep on your guard. However, Vondra has started getting a little too confident lately, so it's time we remind him he is not the only one with power. We are going to obliterate a command post. I want Shatterblast and Mirror and Fritz ready to go. Event Horizon, I want you to attack an out post near the border to draw attention away. Take Aura with you. When you have confirmed they've radioed for help, have Aura send up a color flare, but make it look like an attack, not a signal." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a large metal ingot. He touched it to his face and it became fluid, encasing his entire head. When it settled there wasn't even eye slits, just a silvery mask with a smooth featureless face. More liquid metal flowed from his wide sleeves, encasing his arms and forming join-less gauntlets on his hands. He looked up at his men, each one of them feeling his stare rather than seeing it. "Let us go and remind them what the face of fear looks like."
  2. He can be one of the upper level members. Sweet powers by the way. As of yet, I think aura would be somewhat low level. The Slivers are encouraged to think independently and maintain a level of autonomy. However, they must clear everything with Quicksilver. First Dalles post coming soon.
  3. I've added the bios for my Dalles and Calamityville Epics. I've included the Slivers, Quicksilver's team.
  4. Yeah, brilliant is not a word often used to describe Shank. He thinks he's been sent out to raid a general store for supplies. This will slow him down when he initially tries to run, but when he turns to fight most of what he took will be used as weapons. I don't think I mentioned it, but objects he turns into shanks are strengthened enough to stab someone with. He could conceivably roll up a newspaper and kill you with it, but he's not very imaginative.
  5. Oh, right, Shivertongue. We can call him Shank instead, same principal. And yes, he is being sacrificed. 'Cause that's how Quicksilver rolls. Shank was asking for it though. He was reckless didn't have enough self-control. Resented Epics with greater powers than his, so he used his abilities constantly and he went bad fast. Edit: The surveillance equipment can be disguised to look like anything, but there is always a symbol of an eye on it somewhere.
  6. Sure thang. Here ya go: Shiv Primary: can sharpen any object to a point, making a shiv. Must be able to hold it in his hand for it to work. A low level thug, sent out as bait. Quicksilver wants to get info on the enemy Epic. Surveillance will be observing. Who is Surveillance you ask? One of Quicksilver's Slivers(yeah his gang members call themselves Slivers) who can transform objects into surveillance equipment: cameras, bugs, motion or heat sensors, stuff like that.
  7. I write Quicksilver. He'd happily kill anyone you choose. It'd be a fitting way to introduce him.
  8. Welcome to the forums. Have a cookie.
  9. Another interesting thing to notice is that Nightblood doesn't leak black smoke when He's in the sheath. This brings up the possibility of sheaths for Hemalurgic spikes that could contain the investiture after they were created. This would minimize loss when travelling with the spike over extended periods of times, so you could create a spike and then use it in another city without causing it to decrease in potency.
  10. True, he relies on Stormlight much more than his blade. However, he could use Nightblood quite effectively with his fighting style. Nightblood can cut through anything, like a shardblade. However, unlike a shardblade, Nightblood can cut through flesh as well. Szeth could conceivably cut off your arm and then lash it at your friend's face, which would probably take care of both of you. And if Szeth does become a Skybreaker, he'll also have access to the surge of division, and there's no telling what he could do with that. All in all, Szeth and Nightblood are stacking up to be the most badchull entity of destruction in the Cosmere. And I can't wait to see them in action.
  11. Not soon enough... Welcome to the Madness Have a cookie, courtesy of the Dark Alley.
  12. The Dogwelder obviously. http://www.comicvine.com/dogwelder/4005-12152/
  13. Yeah, a companion epic would be cool. He should also have the power to make people sneeze as well. It occurs to me how much Lightwards would fear an epic who could make him flatulent at will... He would lose all authority in a heartbeat. He can generate an electric shock equal to that of a cattle prod, but he rarely makes it that powerful. he can conjure smoke/stink bombs in his hands two at a time. They can explode on impact or have a fuse. He can create a thin steady stream of itching powder. And he can summon cans that when opened release a non-lethal projectile. He can determine the force at which the projectile is launched when he summons the can, as well as what is launched, as long as it is non-lethal. He can summon one can at a time, but can summon another as soon as he puts one down or gives it to someone else. He wears a sunflower on his shirt that can squirt water at various temperatures, as well as lemon juice. Range of this is about 20 feet. What is interesting is that he can't kill people with his powers. he can come pretty close though. I did base him off the Joker, but less no make up. And mass murderings. Those too.
  14. I would definetly buy shirts, and Hoidies. And probably decals.
  15. Here's two epics for the Dalles. Let me know if I need to tone em down at all. So the first one is a candidate for a villain/ nemisis for Vondra, and as such he's more powerful. Quicksilver And I think you'll like this one Prankster Also, in the Oregon thread, I have no idea who I should post for.
  16. He'll have Sandman to back him up! And Fade as well, but in a rather begrudging fashion. Even after such a short time observing Nighthound, Fade has decided he needs to be extinguished. On another note, what is MEE doing right now?
  17. Ha, I was right! I can't wait to go and tell my gringo friends. Mmm, ragu sounds really good right now.
  18. Granted, but Fantastically is the only word you are able to spell (you walked right into that one...) I wish for healthy and nutritious breakfast.
  19. Dark Alley merchandise. Shirts, stickers, cookie jars. Just joking. Kinda. I do want a DA shirt. Seriously though, I think a 17th Shard wristband, bumper sticker, and t-shirt are great Ideas. And an Antilogic Talisman.
  20. Fade had been silently observing all that had transpired since they had arrived at the museum. His passive ability let him watch unobtrusively, and no one had noticed his presence. He had a pretty good idea of the different Epics and humans and a light sketch of their personalities. They were crazy. Every. Last. One. But he could deal with crazy. Lightwards was quite predictable, ambitious and paranoid. But it was the Funtimes girl who didn't sit well with them. Something was wrong with that one. Very wrong. She hid it well, but he knew it would surface eventually. He just hoped he wasn't in the blast zone when it did. It was time to look around.
  21. Will get to see a unicyclist viewpoint by any chance? Or is he actually a mute?(Which would make Sandman's conversations with him pretty amusing. maybe he could resort to mime...)
  22. I figured it was a cosmere taco, with people meat inside. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/13137-rosharans-are-cannibals-sort-of/?hl=cannibals Herdazians always seemed Hispanic to me. Loads of cousins, mothers always making people eat, it's uncannily like my family...
  23. Welcome to the Madness. Have a cookie.
