Hipster Hoid when he meets Khriss and or learns about the White Sand revisions.

I had a weird 17th shard dream last night where Kobold King took over every user on the sight like Agent Smith in the Matrix. Im not sure if it was Heaven or Hell.

I read through all 46 pages of meme's. in one go, So much has changed, I've changed, the world looks so different when you see it through the eyes of extremely niche gifs about a fantasy author and understand everyone. Was the grass always this green? Sun this hot? Water this wet? Everything's different now. It's like having your soul be warped by the intent of a Shard, I am no longer Slater, I am a Meme.

I wish memes were a thing in-universe, like Jasnah knows all about the "I'm a Stick" meme and is totally sick of it due to over saturation. (She does Soulcast a lot). Stick: I'm a Stic-- Jasnah: Shut up! Your a stick, we know it's been played out, just turn into storming fire for the love of god. .....Maybe that's actually what happened to her, would explain why she was so curt with the rope in her SA 3 scene.

Hipster Hoid ran out of things to be a hipster about so here is Hipster Sarene.....

About Love Triangles, I made this joke before but I have always appreciated how Brandon dealt with the one in Mistborn... "Well of Ascension teaches us to end any and all love triangles by killing the **** outta one of the participants so you can move on with the real plot."
-
It's not Stones Unhallowed anymore, SA 3 is now Dalinar's and will probably be called Oathbringer. All the stuff we were going to learn about him in Highprince of War will probably happen here instead.
-
Breeze from Mistborn is perfect, portly and always wears a dapper suit.
-
Bit of a necro, but I think this pretty much seals it as Dalinar's, plus the promise of answers is always salivating. https://twitter.com/BrandSanderson/status/621453770816253952 So what questions do you want answered by this?

Well Dominion is dead. Odium killed him, been confirmed sense WoK came out. Jaddeth is probably in some way based on him in universe, but the actual god Dominion has been dead sense before the events of Elantris even happened.

Hoid while writing the first letter and mentioning the 17th Shard... What a mouthful.

Also, him being a Kr, as well as a really smart person from a part of society where she probably wouldn't expect it and a real lack of reverence towards religion. If Jasnah could have any romantic interest in anyone we know, that all sounds right up her ally.

Is reading The Stormlight Archive worth it?
Slater replied to Red Ferring's topic in Stormlight Archive
That logic doesn't hold up much considering Adolin got plenty of character development already in two books where he is a supporting character. There is a difference between not being relevant and not being as relevant as you personally want them to be. Nobody read the end of WoR and thought Adolin isn't going to have a part to play that's important. -
Spoilers: Cosmere Power Rankings
Slater replied to KamorianKandra's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Honor, Devotion, Dominion, and one other unamed Shard were all splintered by Odium. He killed at least a fourth of the pantheon by himself. I've always been rather curious as to how he killed both Devotion and Dominion when they were both in the same planet and logic says they would have tried to kill him together. Maybe Odium and Dominion had a deal at first to get rid of Devotion and then Odium betrayed him, maybe Bavadin helped, who knows. Still makes me wonder why he would take the risk instead of going after someone like Endowment, who we know for a fact is alone. The only thing I can think of is he wanted to eliminate them personally so they wouldn't fuse like Harmony eventually did. If that's the case the going to Roshar to deal with Honor and Cultivation makes a ton of sense. He would rather face two shards at once then a fusion of the two. I wouldn't be surprised if the unknown shard he Splintered also came from a planet with multiple ones. He's scared of Harmony so there's know way he'll risk another one showing up. -
Brandon already wrote a Jasnah novella to work out some things she was doing. But it's internal/just for himself to help him work out her timeline and such, he mentioned it on reddit, also said were never going to get it. Also remember people, the blog Maxal mentions is talking about a SIDE character. Jasnah is NOT That she is one of the main ten viewpoint protagonists. An Interlude character or someone like Amaram or Elhokar is what we might get if he does it. I personally would like one for really any of the severest societies, just give us a peek into there goals and how they work.

You know, this one was so obvious I feel like I should have started with it but oh well. Hipster Hoid Whoo, hundredth post! Somehow, it being Hipster Hoid just feels right in my soul.

Rashek had every male of his race castrated so he wouldn't have to worry about his daughter dating. Then she turned out to be a Lesbian. Lord Ruler: "God dammit."
-
Ha, maybe castrating every other male member of his race made him feel like he needed to compensate somehow. Imagining him as a dad and husband while also and all powerful God King hilarious. Wife: Dear, you can't have Inquisitors babysit our one year old child. LR: What, why? There great with kids! Wife:... Kid:...... Ruin:........Dude, your a terrible father.

Question about Dalinar's article, why is the entire thing written in present tense? Even his back story? A lot of "is born" instead of "was born" "Does decide" instead of "Did decide". I've never seen wiki articles written like that. Not in Wookieepedia, or the ASOFiA wiki, not in the Wheel of Time wiki. Is it exemplary more because it's basically the only major article that's up to date with everything from WoR, when Jasnah's, over a year later, doesn't even mention the boat attack? Also yeah, Adolin, Kaladin, basically everyone important is still stuck in the pre release chapters of WoR at best over a year later. What's gonna happen when the third book swamps over everything? I imagine a lot of stuff is going to be left in the dust forever. And that's another more broad thing, a lot of character articles are grossly outdated or underdone. How can Dilaf's, the first major antagonist in the Cosmere, not even reach the climax of Elantris where he is at his most important? How can Elend's entire history be summed up in ten two or three sentence paragraphs? Sorry, I don't mean to be harsh, but as a wiki the Coppermind frustrating in just how little there is on stuff that by logic should have been filled out a long time ago. A Cosmere encyclopedia would help immensely even if all anyone did was copy paste it into the Coppermind.

I really do feel like Hoid would be the kind of guy that would love memes. Hipster Hoid transcends his body of published works and established universe and lore.
