I mentioned that somewhere around page 2 or 3 of this thread, that glyph behind the R's is the same glyph that is around one of the compass rose. Its patterned only 3 times radially instead of the 8 we see around the compass rose. And the glyph itself seems to be made out of the white lines or negative space EDIT: Added photos and additional comment : Ryshadium It wasnt really discussed when I mentioned it early on so thanks for bringing it up again !

All the maps and illustrations from TWOK and WOR are on Brandons' website, Ive been quickly clicking back and forth between tabs with the maps that are shared between the two books rather frantically looking for any differences unfortunately that hasn't helped

Ok guys, Can someone else take a look at this to see if you can find some significance to this as well? If you look at the colored map of Roshar on WOR there are two things( possibly unrelated) that could be our hidden goody. One: if you look at the golden lines from the compass rose/ sun thing in the bottom left, you can see that the lines that extend go under the map in a straight line, but in some places it intersects a letter in a word that letter seems to look slightly different than the ones around it. Prime example is the R in Reshi Isles. its harder to make out on the rest of them but it seems that one letter on each bisecting line seems to be slightly emphasized. Take a look at the South in Southern ocean, the s at the end of Ocean of origins, the L in Purelake, etc This has to be somewhat significant, the ones I have trouble with in this theory are the lines through the main body of the continent any one else see anything. The Second thing I noted was that there are different fonts for different things on this map. This seems deliberate, but are there any exceptions to the rules in the fonts, Most of the fancy letters are only at the beginning of the countries name, example Azir, or the first letter in an ocean ex, Endless Ocean. But why then are the o's fancy no matter where in the map they are found, Lastly does anyone else think that the E in Emul and Endless looks like an Allomantic symbol ? I found a similar glyph/ stamp/ cymatic to the one on the shadesmar map,on the map of Althekar in TWOK on the shattered plains ? Not sure if this relates, because this was a map done in world, where Shadesmar is........ well we dont know who did the shadesmar map do we ? Edit: spelling

In the Shadesmar map there is a marking that looks like a cymatic pattern to the right of where Karbranth would be in the frostlands.

Well I wasn't able to upload the photo, but this made me realize when looking at something else that the radial glyph behind Roshar is also the same as the compass rose glyphs. just patterned around a circle in a set of 3 instead of 8 any significance there ?

Ok I tried to pull the glyph from the Roshar Circle and I got these two images, I also tried to recreate it with some higher fidelity on my sketch pad, I believe if you look at the negative space there is a message/ word in the glyphs, and there may be another in the positive space. Ill try to shoot this over to the translating thread. Who knows if it will come to anything ? Argent, That may be the case, but I believe the ones in the corner are the one that go down the y Axis. So I hope your right. As for the radial glyph behind Roshar Let me know if anyone can make out anything else from what pulled from it. Edit: Having trouble uploading picture will fix soon

If you look at the Black and white map by Isasik there seem to be 4 glyphs I haven't seen translated, there are three in the upper border. ( they are patterned around the whole map but you can seem them clearest at the top) And the glyph behind the " MAP of ROSHAR" from what I can tell both circles are glyphs that are instead of being patterned into quadrants but into thirds..... I for one would love to see that particular set of glyphs translated. Im working on messing with the circular glyph and seeing if I can pull out the glyph shape from the image. Ill upload that in a bit

Well, this just made me think of something, It was mentioned ( I think ) that the skybreakers were almost supernaturally good at making things/ creating them. Its already believed in some circles that Shardplate is a fabrial created by one of the orders. So keeping this in mind it wouldn't surprise me at all if Nalan, as head of the skybreakers has tons of specialty fabrials sitting around. Although all that being said, I thought in the Ym interlude that it wasn't a fabrial that made him come out of the darkness, I just understood that to be that he used Shadesmar to travel into the shop and the darkness was him reappearing?

Ok Im not sure if some of this has already been hashed out but I think we have to figure something out here. From the above post from moogle I saw something that bothered me. We were looking at the interweaving of the messages and we saw that there was gibberish untill you took every second letter. But if you look at what is written in the two epigraphs there are two things that dont make sense. One: Mr.T was able to have and write two thoughts at once, and trying to cram as much information into a small space as possible. Therefore he wrote two messages together and left out punctuation and the like. But if that is the case why are there capital letters still. They say that the two messages are pulled from every other letter starting with the first or second, but if you try to put the two messages back together you will find that this epigraph : AhbuttheywereleftbehindItisobvious fromthenatureofthebondButwhere wherewherewhereSetoffObvious RealizationlikeapricityTheyarewiththe ShinWemustfindoneCanwemaketousea TruthlessCanwecraftaweapon —From the Diagram, Floorboard 17: paragraph 2, every second letter starting with the first Is about 19 letters longer than the other it was meshed with. This leads me to one of two conclusions, that in the original script the two messages were within one character of script of each other, or we are missing something. The second conclusion I have come too is that if this is indeed translated from the original that did line up correctly can we use that information to look at the parsing of the code ?? Also if you rehash the messages and then take the capital letters in order you get: ATWISTPOBYSOPRATSWCTTC could this be the key? The floor boards are underneath the ceiling, and if he could have two thoughts at once why not 3 ? Thoughts guys, or have I rehashed some stuff i missed in the twenty pages of this thread EDIT:fixed spelling and bolding

I just changed my background to the WOR cover art and noticed on what will be the back of the cover. In the pile of bodies is a sheild with a set of three glyphs. Anyone else notice this or have any ideas to what they mean. Any idea which brightlords army it belongs too?

I have to agree, This thought has been floating around in my head for awhile now, or at least a variant of it. We have seen so much pain and misery from Kaladin that at the end of TWOK ,when things finally started looking up for him I was estatic, and its precisely that that makes me worry so much. We know that there is a boatload of hate and mistrust in Kaladin, and the best part of it is, that we completely understand why. So what better way to tug on our heartstrings than have this character that we have come to love, that we see redemption for, turn the other way, to make a decision we hate ( and in doing so die) or kick the bucket before he is able to find that inner redemption. I would say we see more bad things/ death in line for Kaladin precisely because we love him so much. I for one am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I mean with some of whats been said on the forums it was only time till the Punspren had to manifest Its good to be here !

Hi all! I have been lurking for ages now, but my excitement for WOR made me step out of the shadows of the sidelines ! Cant wait to start throwing in my two cents on things !
