  1. Straw, i don't really think that cuts it. Some eliminators have taken opportunities like that before. I can see you setting up Rand like that hoping this would happen.
  2. Day 5 Lord Leets Heatherlocke grinned and cheered as the Skaa fighters in the arena below fought each other, throwing punch after punch. They blocked and weaved, dodging and throwing fists. The crowd around and behind him cheered and screamed with him. He wasn’t the only member of the Great Houses here, but the majority of the crowd were lesser nobility, with a scattering of merchant class Skaa. The underground Skaa fights were a diversion for everyone, and unpoliced. The bigger fighter managed to sweep the other’s arms to the side, and surged forward with a punch to the face that made the smaller man’s feet leave the ground. The crowd gasped as blood sprayed from his face. He hit the ground with a thud, and the crowd went mad. Leets sat back into his seat and waved a usher over. “Another bottle of Amberstead Wine. What’s the next fight?” The usher took Leets’ money and replied, “An open challenge against the Champion sir. Multiple fighters or single, anyone can jump in and fight. But once you’re in, no backing out until the Champion is down, or you’re unconscious.” “Excellent.” Lord Heatherlocke grinned. “That’ll be a fun watch.” He stood, dismissing the usher. He walked forward, and leaned against the railing overlooking the arena. A trio of Skaa were dropping in, and the Champion was advancing on them, his arms up in front of his face. The trio split, and began to circle around him. The champion didn’t seemed concerned, instead dashing forward, despite his previous slowness. He took the first Skaa by surprise, slamming a fist upward into the underside of his chin. The other two froze in surprise, but ran forward to save their friend. The Champion turned as the first Skaa fell. He was grinning a great bloody grin, and blood dripped from his right fist. He turned towards the further skaa, leaving his back open to the second. As the second charged in, the first jumped onto the champion’s back, wrapping his arms around his throat. The champion jumped backwards, falling down and crushing the man, then lashing out with his legs, catching the second Skaa in the torso and flinging him away. He stood, letting the Skaa flop of of him, and brushed the dirt from the floor off his shoulders. “Only three? Come now, give me a Challenge!” As almost a dozen more skaa poured over the side of the arena to fight the Champion, an usher approached Leets, holding a bottle of Amberstead. “Lord Heatherlocke?” “About time.” Leets reached forward, but the usher suddenly moved faster, jabbing the bottle into Heatherlocke’s throat. He gagged, and the usher grabbed his shoulder, and tipped him into the arena. He hit the dirt floor and his side, and struggled to his feet, gasping for breath. He shook the dizziness away, and looked up. The Champion was heading straight for him, grinning. He was holding a Skaa in one hand, and was using the man to block blows from others as he strode inexorably towards him. Leets gasped as recognition flooded through him. The Champion was covered in ash to disguise himself, but underneath, were the features of one of Ffnord’s Pewterarms. “Wait, no, I’ll pay—” The Champion threw his Skaa shield at him, knocking him back into the stone wall. He grunted and fought to stay upright, shoving the dead Skaa from him, only to see the Champion dashing straight forward, fist pulled back. “Please! No—” Steeldancer was killed by the Ffnords! Mafia was attacked by the Heatherlockes, but survived! Straw was attacked by the Herons, but survived! The Day will end in[/color] Player List:
  3. Alright, let me run through what just happened at the end of Day 1. Throughout Day 1, I had just been skimming the thread, focusing on RP, rather than the game, since i was busy with work, school, and LG42. When it got to about 15 minutes before rollover, i was 15 minutes from the end of work, and i was sitting around in case my boss needed something, so i decided to sit in the thread, since i hadn’t voted yet. At about 2 minutes before rollover, Monster Metroid posted a vote on Rippleglyf, and I panicked. I found it very unlikely for a villager to be doing a last minute hammer, so i scrolled up to find a vote count to see who i could vote for, but there was none on page 4, so i went to page 3. It took me to the top, and i scrolled down until i found one. It was Lopen’s. In my haste, i didn’t think to check if his was updated. Lopen’s very outdated votecount said that Randuir, Lopen, and Arinian were the only players with 2 votes. Ripple and Monster each had 1, so i thought that monster was trying to increase the odds of whichever of the three of them were elim, surviving. I didn’t know which of them was the eliminator, so i decided that we could most afford to lose Arinian if he was a villager, so i tossed a vote on him to ensure his death, protecting Ripple, and hopefully killing the Elim that i assumed Monster was protecting. Then Rollover happened, and Monster PM’d me, asking me what the heck i was doing, and i explained, and he told me i had used the wrong vote count, and i realized that what he had done made complete sense from a villager. So oops? Glad he didn't get lynched? Less glad that Randuir got lynched. Also slightly confused as too how? Was he not online to cancel a vote? Also, Drake, that is an amazing writeup. I'm glad we gave you such good material.
  4. Arinian. Sorry arinian, but i want to counter monster. I've been waiting for that hammer, and monster only.has 1 vote so i can't get him killed. I will be voting for monster tomorrow though.
  5. I'm tempted to vote on one of the 1 vote players, but i'd need to read their posts first, and i probably don't have the time to do that. Work is busy. Does anyone have a preference for which 1 banger i vote for?
  6. A little less sanity never hurt anyone that i like. But in actuality, i do have a character, and i'm sure Seonid would let you RP with us. =P
  7. Due to due to various things happening behind the scenes, the following rule change is going into effect: If there are two or more winners alive in the game, the least recent winner may choose to leave the game.
  8. Jeo slowly gathered up his dice as the others began to talk rapidly. He stayed quiet and thought through the people here in camp. There were a lot of newcomers, including himself. This whole division had been slapped together by a lot of people. As far as he had seen, none of them really knew one another. "A spy, here, among us?" A tall soldier shouted out right next to Jeo’s ear. "This shall not stand! The long arm of the Idrian military police will apprehend this cretin and bring him to justice! And I, commander Jaaver, shall be the firm grasp of the hand of justice's long arm!" He spun on his heel towards Jeo and his new players. "You all have hereby been deputized into the search for this villain! Go forth, and report any suspicious or extravagant behavior to me!" Jaaver twirled about, and then fell face first into a mud puddle. Jeo slapped his hand over his mouth to keep from laughing at the ridiculousness of it. Also, was commander even a rank in the Army? Who was this guy? He had also just deputized about a quarter of the small division. “I think past crimes mean I can’t be a deputy of the law, unless given, uh, amnesia for past crimes.” “Wait, past crimes? You’re a criminal?” one of the soldiers nearby asked. “Nah. I just ran away from a battle early on in the war. I’ve fought in loads since though.” “A criminal, and a liar!” Jeo turned to see Mac pointing at him. He was holding up a piece of dirty paper, that had a lot of numbers and sign on it. “He said that we had a 50/50 chance of winning at Craps, but it’s actually 50.7 chance of losing!” Jeo stared at the man, who continued to triumphantly point back. Jeo turned away, ignoring him. Salthis looked to be coming over to talk to him, and that would be a more productive conversation than talking about the concept of rounding. “Salthis, my fellow deputy! Want to help me convince the Marshall to give us his files? He knows who assigned which soldier to this division, so if we can find an infiltrator, we can use the knowledge of who sent them to find their fellows!”
  9. I believe that signups for LG43 will be up in 1 weeks time, on the 7th of march, or thereabouts.
  10. Would be difficult, since you could track who couldn't have made the elim kill. You'd have to have another action that a certain number of players need to take, or something bad happens.
  11. Dbec sat in his daylight hideout. He had only told one skaa where it was, so they could come and tell him if there were Allomancers or angry Mobs coming. It was supposed to be even safer from the house; with the knowledge he had given the skaa, they would not betray him. They would be more loyal than any other group. The angry mob of nobles stood in the street, trying to follow the confusing map a skaa had given them. It had strange letters on it, which they assumed pointed out street names in some phonetic approximation of the Steel Alphabet. They went through one alley, finally finding a door. Going through it, they found Dbec. Leaflets were scattered in the street the next day, advertising positions in House Heatherlocke. Being written in that strange phonetic letter set, no one could understand it. It was just a joke among the few skaa, who escaped Luthadel to become scholars.” Walin was Lynched! 12. Not drake marshall, but i think the game will begin in [[ Removed False Timer ]] That timer is 10 days after signups, and ends at 7 am GMT.
  13. "Right you are. Now then, as much as I enjoy throwing Dice, I don't actually know who any of you are. My name is Jeo, oft called Jeo the Yellow." He grimaced. "I don't like the name, but what can you do. What might your names be?"
  14. "Congrats." Jeo stood up. "I'll bet a piece of frayed rope that the next player will lose."
  15. "You can bet whatever you want. I will bet this stick!" He picked up a small stick and showed it to them all. "And yes, if you roll, and don't win or lose, you continue to roll." For an actual rundown of Craps, Go here!
  16. Jeo grinned. There was quite the crowd now, and once he got their confidence up, he could get them to bet real money. "Craps is an easy game, you roll two dice, sometimes once, sometimes twice, and you either win or lose. 50/50 chance either way.* If, on your first roll, you get a 7 or an 11, you win! If you get a 2, a 3, or a 12, you lose. If you get anything else, you remember that number, and roll again. On the second roll, you lose if you get a 7, and win when you get the first number you rolled." Jeo carefully picked out his green die and his blue die. He showed them to the three onlookers, then rolled them. A 6 and a 4. "Alright, i got a 10. I don't lose, and I don't win. I have to roll again." He picked up the dice, and rolled again. Another 6, and a 1. "Ah colors. 7 on the second roll means I lose." Still, no money was lost. "The way betting would work is on combinations. For instance, I bet that Mac here will roll doubles before he wins. Or whoever." He offered up his six unique dice to the onlookers. "Anyone want to pick 2 and make a roll?" *Please note, this is a lie. You do not have a 50/50 chance of winning at craps. Do not use the vague knowledge in this post to go gambling and then blame me when you run out of money.
  17. Jeo grinned, and upturned his cup, letting the dice spill out. Four 3's, a 2, and a 5. Weird roll. "Luck is no lady sir. Ladies are people. Luck is a force." He scooped up the 6 dice again, and shook them in the cup. "If I roll 30 or higher total, I'll buy you a drink at the next town." He rolled the dice. They settled on the dirt, and showed a 2, two 5's, and three 6's. "Look at that. I'm a worshipper of Luck, and you don't get along with her. And she chose to favor you." He gathered his dice and smirked upward. "It's almost as if Luck doens't exist. Only chance and an uncaring world. So, want to pass a couple of minutes by pretending otherwise? Just a no stakes game to keep us smiling in a cold night."
  18. "Oh there are plenty of things wrong with these dice." Jeo tossed a few of them out onto the ground to demonstrate. 4 of them showed a blank, 1 broke in half, and one had maybe 3 sides facing upward. "They're not finished is what is wrong with them. Plus i'm not that good at carving dice. I'm still practicing, see?" He reached into his coat, and pulled out the ceramic cup where he kept his six real dice. "Now these babies, these are high quality, fair dice. I bought them in Hallandren." He smiled at the gentlemen. "You two want to play a game?"
  19. Lucky and Ivy shooed Jeo away, so he sighed, and sat in the opposite end of their fire. Most of the other fires had already rebuffed him, so there wouldn't be any gambling tonight. He pulled his pack of his back, and fished out a few chunks of wood he had gathered on their march. They were all roughly dice shaped, though most wouldn't be weighed correctly. But he might be able to make them into rigged dice. His carving was interrupted by someone approaching his log. He glanced up at the soldier. "Yes?"
  20. Night 3: Am i a Stick? STICK /stik/ Noun A thin piece of wood that has fallen or been cut from a tree. A semi-regular player in Sanderson Elimination. Informal, derogatory, name for the country side. something resembling or likened to a stick, in particular. STICK /stik/ Verb Push a sharp or pointed object into or through something. Put somewhere, typically in a quick or careless way. be fixed in a particular position or unable to move or be moved. STICK was a STICK. The other players of SE did not appreciate this. So they went out and crafted a STICK in order to have a weapon to STICK through STICK. Most of the players of SE could easily dodge such lame attacks, but since STICK could only STICK to one position, her assailants could easily STICK their weaponized STICK through her body. But they knew that if they were discovered, they would be arrested, so they looked for a place to STICK her body. Eventually, they decided to just STICK her out in the STICKS, hidden among the other STICKs. Stick was lynched!
