Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, it would add more energy to the potion, but the potion will make you hungry as a side effect anyway. But, I imagine that it would destroy you ability to control your eyes. Imagine the worst eye twitch ever.- 1185 replies

Before i forget again, [ Drake Marshall ] That leaves 2 votes, halfway through the cycle. Drake Marshall is voting for me, and Pyromancer is voting for Kidpen. I will vote for [ Araris.] I look at this, and see the Gyorn trying to warn the converts against revealing, as he hasn't made his choice of which of them to swear. I fully believe a village Araris would say this, but right now it is my best lead. And then, here is a list of those who have yet to post their thought on the game. (Or at all in some cases.) Little Wilson: Eternum: Posted that he was awake, but nothing else. Mraize: has posted lots of RP. The Honey Badger: Bort: He popped in to say he would pop in later. Seonid: Dalinar Kholin: STINK: Only posted RP- 1185 replies

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I did, but we can say it happened off screen. For now, I'll poke Devotary. "Oh DensiTea is useless, except for demonstrations. I discovered it completely by accident." As Fenot talked, he noticed that Ateshao had left his cart behind. He shrugged, and began to drag it into his tent. The man would return for it. "And I can heal wounds after the fact, though it is easier if i know what the wound is. And by easier," he smirked at the customer, "I mean cheaper for you. A general healing potion can heal any wound, as long as it is taken quickly enough, and the wounded has a good amount of food to eat. But if you have a specific wound, like an amputated hand, I can craft a smaller potion that focuses specifically on that limb." He ducked into his tent, and rummaged through his luggage. He had 3 general healing potions left. He grabbed one and ducked back out. "Looks like i have one left if you would like to buy it. This will bring a man back from death's door, but i warn you, you'll need to make sure whoever is drinking it eats a lot in the 5 minutes after they drink it. Otherwise they will starve to death as the potion forces all their energy to speed up their healing." "Only 50 gold! Though if you come back tomorrow, I will have more brewed, and it will be 35. 30 if you have a specific wound, and tell me now."- 1185 replies

Yup. Drake and Mraize are both right in front of my table, @Devotary of Spontaneity if you want, i can RP with you, but i can't tell if you want our RP to be after the current conversation, or if you want to join in with us. I am fine with rp'ing two different time.- 1185 replies

Fenot frowned as the new man stepped up to the table. A cure for eyes, That was a challenge. most of his potions just added a bit of magic, that would degrade over time. Healing something like a broken bone was a bit more difficult, you had to compress power into a liquid form or else the person would starve to death as the potion knitted them together. Though, if his eyes had been afflicted from birth, that would actually be easier. He needed a potion that would replace a small part of the body. Those needed to be made for a specific person. "Good sir, I can make a potion to fix your eyes, I am certain, but i need to know everything about them. What is wrong with your eyes? When did they go wrong? Is it both eyes, or just one? How much money are you willing to spend on this?" (Good luck!)- 1185 replies

Hmmm, I would also say i wasn't a convert if i was. I wanted to become an Odiv, but i don't consider it all that likely. However, why are they throwing away their chance at being an Odiv? Yes, it would be smarter for the Gyorn to convert a player who had not claimed, but a strong cleared player who had claimed would still be a good idea. "Excellent." Fenot turned and dug out another of the potions. He slid both across to the soldier, then slid the coins into his purse. "Such a joy working with you sir. If you ever need any more, I'll be here all month." ( @Drake Marshall, you still want to RP?)- 1185 replies

Fenot gasped as he grabbed the man's hand, letting himself be pulled upwards. "Yes, of course. Wooo, that always aches. But yes, i can guarantee that they work, as long as you take the dosage i describe." He dusted himself off, then walked back around the table amd grabbed at the white potion. "This gives you about 2 minutes of thinking time over the course of a minute. It costs ten gold, and you cannot drink more than 1 per hour. Want one good lord?" I recommend giving advice on roles, rp'ing, or just causing a ruckus like Kidpen and I did.- 1185 replies

This part was always terrifying. It was possible that the potion would fail. Ah well. Fenot chugged the potion down, then raised his open hand and hesitated. He felt his body began to increase in weight, and immediately made a fist. I will RP with you once my scene with Mraize is done.- 1185 replies

Fenot smirked, the poisons would never be left out on display. And he had just the impressive potion to proof how they worked. Cheap and easy to make, since it only worked for about 5 seconds. "Of course my good lord." He leaned back and grabbed the slender green potion. He stood, walking around the wooden table, so the guard could get a clean shot at him. He pulled the cork out of the vial, and raised it in one hand, then with his other, lifted his shirt enough to expose his bare belly. "To prove the effectiveness of my potions, i will drink this one. I call it DensitTea. Once it starts affecting me, I will have about 5 seconds where my body will be so dense, that nothing can puncture it." He frowned at some bad memories. "I also can't breath and can barely move. But!" He grinned again, "right before it starts affecting me, i will make a fist, during that time, i want you to stab me! Your weapon will be unable to puncture me, and will only knock me over!"- 1185 replies

Fenot grinned, and picked up a thick ivory potion. "My mother was an Elantrian, but my Father was from Hrovell, land of potions. Both of them taught me much of how the human body works, and how to affect it. I know how to use magic, and natural plants and animals to brew drinks that change the body. This white one makes a man think twice as fast. His body and the world around him will seem to move slowly, giving you an advantage in any situation!" He hesitated, then leaned in, "Though i must caution, a friend of mine drank my whole stock of the stuff, over a gallon, and his brain just stopped working at all. He still lived, but never thought again." He leaned back and resumed his grin. "But as long as you drink just the amount i give you! They are safe! And if you don't want speed of thought, tell me what you do want! I can craft hundreds of potions!" ( @Mraize) I'm all for it. It increases the chances of hitting a Jeskeri by reducing the targets, and by removing scan protection.- 1185 replies

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Fenot chattered happily to himself as he set out the potions he was reasonably sure were safe. "A great day indeed, sad that the priest is dead, but a good death is always good for business!" He had managed to get permission from the city to set up a small tent on an unused plot of land in the city, about midway between the palace and thw church. He had to share it with a hobo, but he could use the man as a guinea pig. "A busy day, a rich day, lots of people worried about dying!" He grinned as he set potions out on the sturdy wooden table he had purchased. Potions of luck, of skill, of lies, of speed. They were all on display. Once he was finished, he began to call out to the crowd. "Magical cures here folks! Using lost Elantrian magics, and Hrovelian knowhow, I can cure your ails! These drinks can make you stronger! Or taller! They can add years to your lifespan, i'm proof! I'm 79, but look 30!" Slowly, curious people began to approach, some just to gawk, others to buy things. Some he lied to, and sold apple juice that was dyed different colors, others were smarter, and received actual potions for much steeper prices. He could both. A trio of soldiers marched down the street, looking like they would pass by his booth. ( @Mraize ) Fenot called out to them, "Good sirs? Would any of you care to purchase a potion that will increase your skill with a blade? Or make your mind move faster? ------- Wow, i missed that. And do we have a Derethi Convert willing to reveal themself anyone?- 1185 replies

Yeah, i advised Kidpen in the doc to not do that when he said he was gonna do it. =P Also, I asked my co workers to give me a random number, and they said 13, [ Drake Marshall ]. For now, I totally volunteer to become a lover, and I am not a Derethi Convert. However, I would like to get rid of the Shu-Dereth Pendants sooner rather than later. The only way to get rid of them is to use them, which defeats the purpose of getting rid of them, but, If they all target the same player this turn, than they will all be gone, at the cost of one extra convert. 0 extra, if we can target someone who is already a convert. @Herowannabe, is any part of my plan unworkable? That is, will all pendants used on a player be used up and leave the game? If the pendants are used on a convert, are they still used?- 1185 replies

<MISSING VARIABLE> This is a Sanderson Elimination Quick Fix game set in the Perfect State Universe. If you haven't read the story, you can learn everything you need to know by reading the first chapter for free. This conflict takes place in the Virtual World of Alornia. Kai's Machineborn are being hacked, and turned into Melhi's Bots. Melhi's Bots are a Conversion Faction, only starting with one player: Sophie who has multiple lives. She can trade them in to convert players to her cause. If there is a Bot who is not Sophie, all the Bots have access to a doc, and the faction can make a kill. But there are a few twist's on this conversion. If a player had the 2nd most votes on them that cycle, or the previous cycle, they cannot be converted, allowing for preventative voting. In addition, Sophie cannot convert villagers that have a role. Because of this, Sophie can target a list of up to 3 players to convert per turn. If her first choice has a role, they are notified that Sophie attempted to convert them, and the next player on the list will be converted. The Machineborn only have 3 Unique roles. These roles pass on to a random roleless player of any Alignment when they die, and each time the role is passed on, it gains a new ability, in addition to keeping their old action. The Knight can defend a player from 1 attack. The Knight Errant’s Defense will block an attack or a conversion. And The Knight Lancer can Kill a Player. The Steward can move a player's vote. The Grand Steward can Target a player and learn if they have been converted. The Royal Steward can learn a player's alignment. The Lover can cancel a player's vote. The Fiance can cancel a player's action. The Spouse can prevent a player from speaking outside the thread for the next cycle. The Game ends when one faction is completely dead, or checkmated. —— PM’s are completely Open. Each player may only take 1 action per turn. Conversions, and Killings both count as actions. The Order of Action: Roleblocking (Lover, Fiance, Spouse) Defenses (Knight, Knight Errant) Votes (Steward, Voting) Attacks (Melhi Faction Kill, Knight Lancer) Scans (Grand Steward, Royal Steward) Conversions (Sophie) —— Rollover is at Midnight PST. The Game will begin at the Midnight between the 14th and the 15th. Player List: DroughtBringer (Player List) Eternum (x/0) Elenion (TK421) Devotary (Player4.exe) Kynedath (Clippy) Converted Machineborn Randuir (Cane) Walin (Whatterthose`); DROP- TABLE Elims;--) Young Bard (Halting Algorithm) Bort (Black IC) Orlork Tsubodai (McAfee) Elandera (Rayda) CrimsnWolf (O7npC) Coop (Salthis) Quick Links:

With 5 words, and a premade table, to encode things, i can easily say who i suspect, what role i think they have, and what post i got the info from. Your morse code idea works even better. It all depends on what you want. Personnaly, my five words will be "drink my potions or die" and that will be the only order i use them in. =P Anyone want a potion?- 1185 replies

Huh, Now i want to make a Shattering game. Only Yolen starts out, but as more planets are made/discovered, more powers enter the game. The shards would scatter, and their powers would be useable on the worlds they are on. Ruin's win condition would be to destroy any planet that Preservation made.

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Fenot's horse pranced in a circle on the dirt road, itching to keep moving. Fenot turned his head to keep facing the network of cities far off. The city of Kondeon was at his back, so he would be at the city in an hour or so, unless his horse died from the exertion sooner than expected. He licked his lips as he studied the cities. Elantris the magnificent was easy to pick out, but he didn't know immediately which of the four surrounding cites was still occupied. From the activity in the western city, he assumed that was Kae. He spurred his horse, and the animal bolted, excited to again be moving. It was practically frothing already, the Hrovellian potion to give it speed had been meant for a beast of stronger stature, but that horse had tripped, and broken a leg along the Duladel border. He had been forced to sell the beast and buy a new one. Normally he wouldn't waste such a horse as that one, but according to his Lord, time was of the essence. Fenot and his unique skills were once again needed in Arelon. He grinned as he rode like mad, on a beast that was running itself to death. His poisons and potions were once again needed to change the course of history. If, along the way, he had the chance to test out some of his new potions are the wide variety of folks here, well, that was just a bonus. --- Fenot the Alchemist is signing up, and fully intends to make sure every one in the game has drunk one of his potions by the end.- 1185 replies

(Replying here to not derail the thread) In order for that to work, there would need to be motivation for multiple shards to want to make planets. Easiest way is to tie it to win cons, where multiple shards need to have made planets to achieve their win condition. Either that or there are no PM's allowed, except the Planetary ones, so if you want to talk in private, you need to make a planet together. Then you have at least a turn of privacy before players can hop to it.
