Due to very welcome extra signups, the game's start time has been extended by 20 minutes, we apologize if this causes players to despair at an extra 20 minutes of lost sleep, but frankly, I'm only getting 4 hours of sleep tonight, so I don't care. The Game starts in -

That was a typo. Fixed. No. That Clarification has been added to the rules. Everything is Simultaneous. -
Elantris was unified once. The City of the Gods, most glorious place in all Opelon. The Gods stood together, determined to save the world. With mighty Magics they healed the sick, created just laws, and fed nations. They brought with them the Silver age. Gone was Scaricty. Gone was Disease. Gone was Strife. It seemed that even Death would soon find its cure in the Elantrians. They were Untouchable, Indomitable, Eternal. Eternity ended when the World split. The Reod, the Punishment, the Fall. What once shone as a beacon to all the world was abandoned. The Gods of Elantris fell, brought down by what they had once cured with a wave of their hands. The Silver Age ended. Elantris is divided now. In Terror, the Fallen fight for scraps, grubbing in the dirt to survive another day. In Hatred, they pull each other down, destroying all progress. They are Unlovable, Impotent, Useless. Welcome to your first day in the City. Welcome to MR31: Spiritual Warfare, a Conversion Elimination game. (THIS IS NOT A FACTION GAME) Each player is a Fallen God of Elantris, owing their Allegiance to one of the many Gangs. The Gangs have existed in a fragile equilibrium. Kept steady by the fear of Pain. The Status Quo has been destroyed by a newcomer, Lord Spirit. Who ever they are, they plan to destroy the Gang’s way of life. With a silver tongue, and sharp wit they are bringing more and more to their side. They must be brought down before they gain too much power. This game will begin at Midnight PST next Friday. Player List: Astrea (Crimsn Wolf) Mist (Fifth Scholar) Ynoga (xinoehp512) Daan (Kidpen) Venele (Brightness Radiant) Ashertma (Devotary of Spontaneity) Rena (Elandera) Squid of Sensationalism (Steeldancer) Agri Kai (Walin) Spork (Cadmium Compounder) Mii (Mailliw73) Itiah X (I think I am here) Diir (Alvron) Straw (Straw (Straw (Straw))) Soul (Droughtdrinker) Flavio (TheMightyLopen) A Shqueev (Multiple Shqueeves) Kielan (MetaTerminal) Sheol (ElephantEarwax) SIGN ME UP (Coop772) Rat (Sart) Quick Links:

It think it's Rand @Herowannabe, I'm making an accusation. I think it was Randuir using Kic and leaving behind hairpin! -

My Guesses from last cycle in order of most likely to least likely: Cadmium Compounder with a Wig and Dehydration. Randuir with a Hairpin and Kick. Cadmium Compounder with a Wig and Explosion Elandera with Meekers and an Aluminum Hat. Droughtbringer with Rioting and False Beard. Paranoid King with Awakened Rope and Spectacles. Walin with a Skull and Fire. Aluminum Hat and Wig were both removed. So i’m down to 4 guesses. I'll guess Randuir soon, but i want to reread the thread first. -
Quick Fix Game 33 - Deception: Murder in the Cosmere
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I want to focus more on this head clue, the one that replaced the Footprint. First of all, I think that Hint on corpse refers specifically to Evidence, and not at all to the Method of Murder. If we had been focusing on the wrong cause of death, if we had decided that the correct cause couldn’t have been an accident, then Hero would have changed the Cause of Death tile. Since he didn’t I think we can safely say we focusing on the right kills. It’s the evidence we’re not getting correct. So I’m going to go through and remove all evidence that relates to footprints, because that was misleading us, and only focus on Head stuff. Elandera* has an Aluminum Hat. Droughtbringer has a False Beard. Paranoid King has Spectacles. Randuir has a Hairpin. Cadmium Compounder has a Wig. Walin has a Skull. Some of you have said that I have a medallion, but Medallions rest on the Chest, not on the head. And none of my other evidence fits Head. So I think the Murderer is one of those 6. Back to the Method of Murder being a Necessary .Accident in the Wilderness. Done Despicably and Untidely. Elandera has a Sword, Deathweed Bark, Meekers, Dreok’s Ake, and Aon Daa. Only Deathweed Bark and Meekers fit Wilderness, but Deathweed Bark is Poisonous, so not an Accident. I originally disregarded Meekers as being Wild animals, and therefore killing through Loss of Blood or Severe Injury. But If you read their Coppermind page they could fit despicable, necessary, untidy, and accident. Sixth of Dust has been attempting to train them to bite people. Which is Despicable, but necessary. Any death by wild animals will be untidy. Sixth of Dusk is not training them to kill people though, so if they did, it would be an accident. This one is really unlikely, but maybe possible? Droughtbringer has Bloodsealing, Metal Poisoning, Rioting, Dagger, and Punch. Bloodsealing and Rioting are both Supernatural, though Rioting could easily accidently kill someone. Metal poisoning is Poison, and a Dagger is loss of blood severe injury. That leaves Punch and Rioting. Punch, I don’t see how Punch is Necessary, Untidy, or Despicable. Rioting, if I stretch it and combine it with False beard, could work. Droughtbringer is disguised, and when someone realizes that, he need to hide, so he riots someone to cause a distraction, killing someone. This one is the least likely of my guesses, and I’m inclined to throw it out all together. Paranoid King has Blackbane Leaf, Deathants, Birchbane, Whitespine, and Awakened Rope. Blackbane and Birchbane are poisons. Whitespine in Spectacles has already been guessed. Deathants kill with poison. Awakened Rope is passive enough that I can see it being an accident, especially since Vivenna nearly slew Tonk Fah with one in Warbreaker. Combined with Untidy and Spectacles, it works better. It would grab the neck and head and squeeze, and knock off the victim’s spectacles. But that method of death also fits Suffocation better than accident. So that one is the least unlikely of my guesses. Randuir has Bare hands, Burned at the Stake, Obsidian Axe, Swampvine, and Kick. Burned at the Stake is Severe injury, and never ever an accident. Obsidian Axe is Blood loss and/or Severe Injury. Swampvine kills with Poison. That leaves Kick and Bare hands. Bare hands is iffy, it sounds to intentional. People boast about killing with bare hands. But Kick could work easily enough, and combined with accident fits Despicable. The missing Hairpin fits untidy, but nothing about this fits Necessary. Cadmium Compounder has Soulcasting, Explosion, Lifeless, Solier, Rifle, and Dehydration. Soulcasting is Supernatural, and Rifle is Severe Injury. Uh, the other three fit accident. Explosion fits Untidy, Necessary, and accident. We use explosives all the time and occasionally accidently kill someone with them. Lifeless Soldier fits Untidy, Despicable Accident. CC didn’t take care of the Lifeless soldier, and didn’t make sure his commands were understood, so it killed the wrong guy. Though I think Hero would have gone with something other than accident for that one. Dehydration fits Necessary and Despicable. Two men, not enough Water, Cadmium drank it all, and didn’t realize his victim needed more of it to survive. Walin has the Shaod, Chasmfiend, Black Frayn, Fire, martial arts. Shaod is Supernatural, Chasmfiend is Severe Injury, Black Frayn is sickness, Martial arts is not an accident. Fire fits really well with Skull though. Fire can be accidental, necessary, untidy, and despicable. It doesn’t fit too well, since that seems more like a severe injury. Really unlikely that it’s this one. My Guesses in order of most likely to least likely: Cadmium Compounder with a Wig and Dehydration. Does anyone offer any objections to any of these? Or better ideas? -

Quick Fix Game 33 - Deception: Murder in the Cosmere
Jo and the Bush replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Forgive me if I retread ground already well trod. I’ve only skimmed all the threads. The first thing I have done is weeded out the methods of death, focusing only on those methods that are most likely to be an accident. I’ve removed any methods that are more likely to be something else. Anything poisonous would be in the poison section, not the accident. For that reason, I have removed all weapons and animals, as they fit better in the Sever Injury, or Loss of Blood. I’ve removed anything that is poisonous, most of the Supernatural options, and I removed Strangle, the only Suffocation option. There are a few magical options that I left in because they are background magic, rather than active magic, or because they are closer to science than magic. That leaves 17 options. (Acid, Awakened Rope, Bare Hands, Booby Trap, Cut-away vines, Dehydration*, Enhanced Strength, Ettmetal Explosion, Explosion, Fire, Highstorm, Hook, Kick, Lost Divine Breath, Punch, Scarf, Smoke (*Should Dehydration count as Suffocation or Supernatural instead of Accident???)) Annoyingly, that only removes Elandera and Snipexe from the possible assassins. So I ignored their clues, and started looking at the Evidence, through the lenses of Wilderness/Untidy/Footprint. I tried to find Evidence that would match all three of those, or evidence that better matched other things, in order to clear out the options. I managed to Narrow the 65 Evidence pieces down to 44. Mostly by ignoring things that fit in the city. Not all that helpful. (Aon Kii, Aon Reod, Aviar Feather, Blood, Bones, Boots, Chull Dung, Crab Legs, Cracked Gemstone, Crem, Dirt, Dust, Firemoss, Footprint, Glow Paste, Hairpin, Hoofprints, Horseshoes, Ice, Infused Spheres, Lak, Lamp, Larkin Corpse, Map, Message Written in Blood, Pot of Stew, Purple Blood Droplets, RaiDel Pepper, Rotspren, Saddle Strap, Scorch Marks, Scorch marks, Singed Cloak, Skull, Smoke, Spanreed, Stick, Straw, Man, Survivor Pendant, Vandalism, Water Bottle, Wetleek Sap Trail, White Sand, Withered Hand) An Accident in the Wilderness committed by a despicable man. An Accident out of Necessity, done Untidely, with a clear trail of footprints. I don’t get it. Some of them work well with Neccesity though, If I focus only on that. (Cracked Gemstone, Map, Pot of Stew, Spanreed, Survivor Pendant, Water Bottle) But none of those fit Footprints very well. Maybe map if I squint. Boots, Crab Legs, Dirt, Dust, Footprint, Hoofprint, Horseshoes, Saddle Strap, and Wetleek Sap trail could all fit Footprint. Some better than others. But that’s two lists of items now, and I don’t know how to choose between them. I’ll read through the thread in the morning (It’s 11:37 as I type this) and try to narrow down what I have. -
. . . Oops. I meant to change that to a different date before it happened. That's not my actual birthday, but thanks.

Ladies and gents, i grace you with my presence once again. Joining as Various Divide, a man from Threnody -
I don't see how giving an Oracle role to a player would be any different than giving it to the GM. Both are confirmed village players who cannot talk outside of their role powers. All GM's have the responsibility to not reveal information in the writeups, and have the responsibility to remain impartial. You having an active role in the game does not change that. I would trust any member of this website to be an oracle and a GM until they prove that they are unable to do that.

Hero, i hereby give this game a pass. I don't think the timing issue raised by other players will be a problem, nor do i see any other problems with the rules as you have them written. This game is good to run.
