  1. Eternum? I don't know. I do think an Odiv has been sworn, i don't see a good reason not to have sworn one by now. Also, while i am online, i used a Korathi Pendant to ask if Seonid was aligned with Arelon, and got it confirmed he was. I'm sorry for being so quiet lately. Lots of things are catching up with me, including suddenly having family over. I'll be back to my old activity in several days.
  2. Are we voting, or just nominating? I thought we generally use a Poll to vote.
  3. Judging from my struggle to maintain activity in the current LG, I will refuse. I do not have enough free time to meet the activity requirements for the Championships. I agree that Orlok, Rae, or Randuir would all be good options.
  4. They are not. But a Knight would know if they managed to defend a player. Conversions, failed or successful, are also not mentioned.
  5. The Young Bard has been killed by Divine Punishment! He was a Troll!
  6. [ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x2)] “Indeed my lord, I am still examining the other members of your retinue. Many need to be maintained. They could be at risk to Melhi’s influences.” The steward summarized, as he unrolled the meticulously detailed scroll. “You know I don’t have the skill to do both.” Kai replied. He looked away from the steward, and out over his city. Ten’s of thousands of Machine Born, all susceptible to other Life Born’s hacking. He really should figure the skill out, but being born in a Primary Fantastical State hadn’t given him many opportunities to learn the art. From their first clash, he knew Melhi was from a Sci-Fi and Emerging Equality State, which gave him an entire life to learn how to hack in order to survive. He had been referred to as a Shadow Runner before. Good thing he had a Black IC to protect his virtual reality. “What about Black IC? How is he doing?” The Steward hesitated. “He got Decked out.” “Like punched?” “More like his code was punched. Or like someone tried to hack him by slamming a keyboard into his face.” “I would try that.” Kai had seen few problems that could not be solved by slamming something into someone’s face. “But, you’re telling me he’s dead?” “Indeed my lord. Killed by fellow Machine Born, who believed him to be too artificial to be real, and thus decided he was Melhi’s Replicant. Instead of an Anti Virus program.” Kai sighed. “Ask the others to be more gentle, and to come to me if they suspect someone. Now, I need to go check Player List’s coding. Wouldn’t want him to get hacked.” Bort was a Machineborn! 7. That is time, stop changing your bloody votes at the last minute people.
  8. . . . I badly miswrote that. that Comma should be a period, or rather that whole sentence should not be in the rules. I can't believe i didn't see that in there. But yes, Sophie can kill while alone. EDIT: @Elenion Chalk it down as GM Error in this case, but from the time i posted signups, i did not know that my original ruleset included that rule. Things may change because of that. I will talk it over with Seonid.
  9. <M1004 Overheating> Kai scrolled through the list of important Machineborn in the palace. He’d need to check and maintain each one individually over the next week until his Spymaster figured out which one had been replaced with a replicant. As he checked through each one, an error message popped up on Salthis. <Error M1004 Overheating> He frowned. How exactly was Salthis overheating? Had the Machineborn’s coding gone too long without the Wode checking it? Another error message popped up. <Error Core Meltdown in Progress> Well then, that wasn’t good. He clicked on it, bringing up diagnostics. Then he swore. “I knew i should have sanitized those frigging tables.” Whatterthose’s codes had just deleted themself. Vote tally: Elenion (1): Orlok Crimsn (1): Bort Drought (1): Devotary Orlok (2): Bard, Crimsn Coop (2): Elenion, Elandera Walin was killed! He was a Machine Born! Coop was Lynched! He was a Machine Born! The Turn will end in Player List: DroughtBringer (Player List) Eternum (x/0) Elenion (TK421) Devotary (Player4.exe) Randuir (Cane) Young Bard (Halting Algorithm) Bort (Black IC) Orlok Tsubodai (McAfee) Immune to conversion until Turn 3 Elandera (Rayda) CrimsnWolf (O7npC)
  10. Let us not talk until the writeup is live please! gimme 5 more minutes.
  11. There is still a 2 vote minimum to lynch a player. A tied vote results in a coinflip. At this point, a random player with a vote will be immune to conversion, and no one will be lynched.
  12. Turn 1: 401 Unauthorized Kai sighed as he flipped through the letters. Today, on the 340th anniversary of his birth, he did not want to be doing paperwork. He had done enough to automate the government that they should be able to handle most anything. In practise, they did run everything. The large majority of these letters were marked as updated reports, just to keep him informed. Really, it was just the one at the top he didn’t want to open. It was marked with the sign of the Spymaster, a Machine Born that Kai had managed to hack, with his limited skills, to serve as both scholar and eavesdropper. He didn’t have a body in Alornia anymore. Instead, he lived in Maltese, a nearby Communal State. His only job was to monitor Melhi, and this letter meant that there had been a significant change. Kai entered Lance sight. The lights dimmed, only lit by the Grand Aurora, far above. He gathered in enough energy to form a small barrier, razor thin, and used it to cut the wax seal open. He blinked, restoring normal vision. It was slightly wasteful, but at the moment, he wanted the comforting warmth of the Aurora. The letter detailed an overheard, but unseen conversation between one of Melhi’s bot’s and a Machineborn. Melhi had managed to sneak a replicant into the palace in Alnoria, and the Bot was starting to hack the concepts of other Machineborn. The letter mentioned a Machine Born that Kai had dubbed ‘Clippy’, by name. Kai scowled. Melhi’s childish hacks were getting more and more annoying by the day. He dropped the letter back onto his desk and stood. He knew where Clippy was, he served as a scribe to his Steward. Kai strode through the halls, the guards outside his door falling in around him without a word. They could tell just from his pose that he was now on the hunt. Kynedath has been killed by the GM! He was a Converted Machineborn! The Game is now afoot! You may Vote, PM, and take actions as you please. Note that due to the low number of players, certain rules have been changed. Only the player with the second most votes will be immune to Conversion. Other than that, all rules are as stated previously. I will be counting the final vote made as your vote. No need to retract previous votes. The Turn will end in Player List: DroughtBringer (Player List) Eternum (x/0) Elenion (TK421) Devotary (Player4.exe) Randuir (Cane) Walin (Whatterthose`); DROP- TABLE Elims;--) Young Bard (Halting Algorithm) Bort (Black IC) Orlok Tsubodai (McAfee) Elandera (Rayda) CrimsnWolf (O7npC) Coop (Salthis)
  13. A bit under 2 hours. If you are on the fence about signing up, you have until i post the writeup to decide.
  14. Seems more likely that he scanned Eternum or I, since he was considering killing us.
  15. We have 8 players so far. I didn't really plan on how many players minimum would be required to run this game, but i would prefer a bit more than just 8. If no one else signs up, I'll remove the Lover Role from the game, and we can start. Or would you all prefer we don't start unless we get at least 11 players?
  16. That's beautiful Arraenae. Thanks. You remember that all of day 1, I was voting for[ Araris], because I thought he was the Gyorn? And when was there attention on me?
  17. Is that an actual statistic? If so, i am proud. I have enjoyed foiling you ever since you spied on my PM's. (Such a good game.) Nah man, he spelled it right. Colorred. He combined color and red. His keyboard auto corrects that to ]color=red] Fenot blinked. "Uh, sir?" He called out. "Did you pay me?" =P Anyway, I still son't like the vote on Bort, I'm still leaving my vote on Araris.
  18. Yes, you still win. I'm keeping my vote on Araris, since I still haven't seen much else suspicious stuff. Today will be slightly busier than yesterday at work, I think, so this might be the last time I can get on the shard before the end of the cycle.
  19. Fenot bobbed back and forth, his hand making the same motion. "It's complicated. I don't really get it. My father said it had to do more with area than with time." He hesitated again. He was explaining it badly. "See, I've never been able to truly test how long they last for, because they are. . ." He waved his hand in a circle, then shrugged again. "Kind of connected to their brewing location, and to me. If I keep them in the house i made them in? Or keep them with me? They will never go bad, as far as i know. But the longer they spend away from me, the weaker they get. Oddly, if you bring them close to me, their source, or my home province of Hrovell, they will start to recharge, until they are as good as new again." That was probably too much information. He shook his hands, dismissing what he had just said. "Look, that takes a while though. Bottom line is, these potions will be highly effective for at least a month. After that, they might degrade. In about a year, they won't do all that much." Fenot snorted. Poisons? All of his alchemy could be used as poisons. He leaned over, smiling up at the man. "I have Al-Co-Hol, if that is what you mean Sir." He drew out the word, and winked at the man. "But i only sell that at night, the proper time to get a man drunk." Hopefully the man understood his meaning. He wouldn't sell poisons in broad daylight.
