Yafeshan scrambled back from the accusations. “No! I wasn’t spying on you to kill you! Honest! I was just making sure you weren’t talking!” “Oh, really? Are you sure about that?” asked Silas. “Yes! Yes! I promise!” Yafeshan said. “I only want cookies. Here, do you want one?” he offered. “Don’t take it!” said Verre. “Who knows? It might be Spiked, turn you into one of them!” Silas threw the cookie to the ground. “How horrible! Yafeshan, you will die for this.” Jala Ghetti added, “Yeah! Die! But how do we kill him... How about we just throw glitter on him instead?” She smiled brightly, flinging glitter everywhere. Most of it got on yafeshan, but a huge cloud of glitter poofed upwards in a mushroom cloud. (A bit of it even reached the edge of Kipper’s mind and stuck there. Elbereth and Phattemer laughed at him while he glared.) “But- but- that doesn’t even make sen-” Yafeshan screamed briefly as Silas thrust a glitter-encrusted dagger between his ribs. He died softly, without another word, and they all stood looking over the corpse. It seemed so... sudden, so final, so dead. Silas stooped to the slightly sparkling body, and after a moment began to examine it gingerly. “Yeah,” he said dully. “There’s a spike here. Yafe was one of them.” The assembled crowd stood in silence. They’d done it! They’d caught one of the monsters! Caught and killed him, right before their eyes... Silas got up, pulling his dagger out of the corpse, and walked away without another word. Yafeshan was Spiked Duralumin/Tin Twinborn! High above the quaint little village, three minds floated and looked down on the humans. A little tug here, a bit of a push there... All to find the best suited to rule, and serve their nameless gods. As the night moved slowly into morning, they exchanged thoughts silently. Kipper, you do realize that Kynedath was storing chromium, right? And since the Spiked have left it up to us to decide their kill... $%#@ “twice as likely to draw random attacks.” I HAVE TO DO THE KILL AGAIN. #$%@ Indeed. Well, at least I didn’t start on how he died. I would have been irritated to have to redo that. At least Saya’s probably not going to die? #@%$&@&$@ Okay I got the kill. You ready for this? ...Oh dear. Um, Merel, maybe? Saya. No. Seriously? ... Fine. No, it’s actually Kynedath. Kipper.... Hmm? Kipper. Yes? I’m going to kill you for that. You can try. No, I’m serious. You are dying for that remark. Elbereth snatched up a spike from the ground with a thought. Someone did want a spike charged, after all. She slung the spike directly into Kipper’s mind, before he could give more than a vague expression of shock. Phattemer*, who hadn’t been paying attention to their banter, since he had important trolling business to be about, had the time to be properly shocked before Elbereth Spiked him, too. After all, two spikes were wanted. And she could handle everything by herself. A very faint voice drifted to her. Control freak... She stabbed Kipper’s corpse again in annoyance, then returned the spikes to the ground. Then she left the two slowly regenerating minds with a giggle and a mental wave, and started influencing minds. Late at night, a metalsmith worked in his forge. Kwon pounded and pounded on his new creation, turning it sharper and sharper. After all, if the enemy had Spikes, why couldn’t they? The steel spike glittered in his hand, and he stared at it. “How am I supposed to use this thing, anyway? Just stab someone and see what happens? That seems... not very intelligent.” He sat down beside the forge, laying the spike down beside him in realization. This was the difference, the reason the village hadn’t made spikes before. It had no idea what to do with them. Someone else, however did. There was a scrape as the steel spike was lifted, and Kwon looked up. “Hello?” “You may not know how to use a Spike...” a voice said softly, and thrust the spike into Kwon’s heart. “But I certainly do.” El giggled, continuing on. If Kwon couldn’t even figure out how to use a spike, he should die. Besides, she’d been wanting to kill him for a while now. Eren Jaeger stumbled down the street, trying to hide the fact that he was very close to falling over and not getting back up. Eventually, he reached his destination, and sunk happily into a chair. So he was completely unprepared when he felt a burning sensation in his chest. What... That wasn’t the alcohol, was it? He’d never had this reaction before. He managed to crank his neck down and look at his side. With a start, he realized blood was pouring out. What? Then he realized. His spike! Someone had stolen his rusting** spike! He tried to stop up the blood, but it was no use. He was dead in minutes. El giggled again, but then frowned as she felt her name being called. Phatt had returned, apparently, and he sounded both proud and annoyed. That was fine, though. She was satisfied enough with the night’s work. The rest could wait for another day. Wonko was killed! He was a Villager Nicrosil/Tin Twinborn! Deathclutch was killed! He was a Spiked Gold Compounder! Phattemer was killed! He was an NPC(technically) Fullborn! too bad it wasn’t a real spike... Kipper was killed! He was an NPC with Duralumin/Nicrosil! yes, we wrote this without Kipper Day has begun. You have 48 hours to decide who to lynch. 2 Items were found. The thread is closed. Please do not talk outside of docs or GM PMs for the next 24 hours. Thank you, Arrenae. Laurelin sat in bed, reading, as the last bit of sin went out of the sky. A few pages more, and there was the shiver. She smiled as her hair turned silver, but kept reading. Tilion was probably still awake, and her door creaked as badly as his. Didn’t want him seeing her slipping off to who-knows-where, probably to murder someone again. Only when the last light of day was long-gone did she move, and even then it wasn’t to the door. Instead, she went to the window, and stepped out into the silver mist, with a grin. Maybe she was going to get executed for murder. But if she found the murderer herself, perhaps she could survive the end of the week. Perhaps. But it was a hope, and finding a murderer sounded like a good deal of fun. So she set off smiling, determined to find a way to save her life, and hopefully save as well the life of the precious golden seed that hung on a necklace beneath her dress.

Laurelin sat in her room, worrying. Tilion had come in several times, asking if she wanted to go to the marketplace, but she shooed him away every time, nervous that it would be a trap to catch her. There was another knock. “Come in,” she called somewhat crossly. Tilion entered. “Are you sure you don’t want to go to the market, my lady? I’m sure it would be fascinating to you.” “Tilion, you asked that to me ten minutes ago. Why do you want me to go to the market so badly?” He shifted, looking down. Great. He does think I’m a murderer. Finally he spoke. “I- I have some things that I need to tell the town leader. But I can’t desert my charge, when you might be needing things. Lady, won’t you please come to the market?” “No. I won’t. As I’ve said, I am extremely tired from travel, and the market seems no more interesting than the quietness of yesterday. Is this matter so urgent that it must be told today?” He shifted, looking away. “I- Well, yes, kind of.” She raised an eyebrow. “Kind of?” She couldn’t put off being accused of murder, but she would delay it as long as possible. “Yes,” he said more firmly. “It’s really important.” “Hmm. Well, then, I simply must go with you to this town leader. I’m interested in meeting him, anyway. And I’ll be interested to hear what’s so important that you must act in this most improper way towards a lady.” He gasped. “No, m’lady, please! You go to the marketplace, and I’ll confer with the town leader. You don’t need to know about it. It’s boring, business stuff.” “That doesn’t sound very urgent at all.” “But-” “No, Tilion. We are not going, and that is final.” He slumped. “Very well, my lady.” He slowly walked back into his room and closed the door. She stared worriedly after him, wondering if she should have insisted on going with him. He could sneak off now, with her none the wiser. Then she heard a loud squeeeeaaak, and she remembered something about Tilion’s door. Specifically, that it wasn’t oiled. She got up as quickly as was seemly, and opened the door to Tilion’s room. Her guide was standing in the doorway, frozen in embarrassment. “Tilion?” “Sorry, ma’am.” “See that it doesn’t happen again.” She smiled, closing the door. Well, that was a crisis averted for a day, at least. Hopefully she’d discover something during the night. No one was lynched! You need a / before the second "color". (Yes, yes, I'm helping my own lynching. Oh well.) Right, since it seems I'm going to be lynched (which to be honest isn't much of a surprise): Once I get arrested, please PM me! I can't initiate contact. But with PMs I can basically fulfill the same role as before (except without being a buffer against the eliminators winning). I cannot stress this enough. I need those PMs. Thank you. -

I apologize for not being on sooner. I was working on LG19 and had this tab open, but wasn't looking at it. So, in return, Maill. First of all, when I said that I was vaguely suspicious of DC for being too vague about why he was suspicious (and particularly when you found out that he was suspicious of you), you immediately tried to convince me to last-minute lynch him. Which is suspicious enough. Plus there's the fact that he's your roommate, so lynching him will be a top priority for you if you're evil. Plus, when DC actually was specific enough for me, he said that you were acting evil because when you were evil you usually tried to convince people to vote with you. Like you'd just done, with DC having no way of knowing. And when I told you that I was much less suspicious of DC now, you went ahead and lynched him anyway. Not to mention that you took a dagger away from the only person who's almost certainly good. And your kill role being gone is not going to cut it. Feel free to PM DC to confirm what I've said. Also, I didn't post before now because of my playstyle, which you will remember was entirely PMs. (Apologies to those few of you who I haven't gotten around to PMing. It's been a busy week, and I'm sorry about that.) And why were you waiting on me to post, anyway? I can understand waiting for a little bit so that discussion happens. But because I haven't posted yet? No. That doesn't make sense. (EDIT: Sorry, read your reasoning a bit wrong. Waiting for me to implicate teammates doesn't make that much sense either, though. Because why would I do so specifically this turn? I've given you enough to go off from our PM. And I wasn't going to post. Because playstyle.) EDIT: (almost made it a double post because I'm a little bit worried about being lynched [for the first time! ...woot?] and also stressed for other reasons, but decided to go with common sense) Also, I'm not sure why he's doing this. There is no way for a scan to fail. So next cycle, barring hidden powers (which are technically possible but unlikely), I'll be revealed as Loyal and everyone will go after him...? So either we are very close to endgame or... something. I don't even know. EDIT 2: Um... Thanks for the random upvote? I mean I’ll do 10-17 in according to spreadsheet. :P Move up. This is WRITEUP SPACE. ... Telperion snuck through the brightness of night, looking in wonder at the mist curling around her fingertips. It was almost solid, in a way she’d never seen before. But her attention was drawn eventually by a quiet sound. She looked around, then focused on a dark alley. Had someone seen her? She crept closer to it, trying to stay out of sight from anyone inside. Then, having no choice, she stepped out into the open of the alleyway to confront the person. A cloaked figure, who was now... Running away? She cursed, running after him. But after only a few steps, she tripped on something unpleasantly warm and soft. A body lay on the pavement, hand reaching toward her, or perhaps past her towards the sky. He was still breathing! Barely, but he was. She bent close to him, trying to determine whether he could be healed. It was a fatal wound, she saw easily. But as she leaned towards him, he whispered something. “What?” she said, a bit incredulous that he could talk at all. She leaned even closer, and finally caught his word. Just one word, repeated over and over again. She frowned, and opened her mouth to ask why that word was so important. It was certainly useless in finding a killer, as far as she knew. But her thoughts were interrupted when her guide, Tilion, came to the mouth of the alleyway. He stared at her, mouth agape. “No!” she said, but it was too late. The cliche was already in motion. So, of course, he ran away, presumably to tell the whole town that she was a murderer. She sighed. It was going to be a long day. Kynedath has died! He was a Villager with Tin/Electrum. Night 2 is over! Please do not post or PM until Day. The sun set ever so slowly, falling like a spark to the ground. Finally, the hills swallowed it, and the half moon grew brighter and brighter. Laurelin sat in her room, staring out at the darkening sky. Then there was a jolt as the sun truly sank below the horizon, not simply the hills and buildings in the way, and she changed. If her guide had been there, he would have been astonished. But he was not, and nor was Laurelin. A woman with flowing silver hair sat in her place. She didn’t sit for long, though. She held still for a moment to absorb her new surroundings, then rose and quietly slipped out the window, into the night. Events were happening, and she didn’t want to miss out on observing them. Such things were far too amusing to let slide.

A lady walked into the town square, dressed in a gold outfit that drew the attention of every passerby. Or would have, if there had been any. “Where are all the townspeople?” she asked her guide. “It’s the middle of the day, and I don’t see anyone around.” “I believe they’re all asleep, Lady Laurelin,” answered the guide. “Last night was not an easy night for anyone. Did you hear? A man was found murdered, just yesterday. Spike right through his heart.” “How horrible!” she exclaimed. “Has the murderer been brought to justice?” “We think so. Edrab Leah. Millie, our Sheriff, sacrificed her life to bring him down. But... there may have been more. We don’t know yet.” Lady Laurelin shook her head. “That’s terrifying. The thought of someone murdering me in my own bed! Particularly for something as base as stealing my powers.” Her guide’s eyes flashed with interest, but he wasn’t imprudent enough to ask. “Is there nothing to be done?” “Perhaps tonight, someone will find something out. But no one’s sure what to do or who to trust, as yet, so everyone’s conserving their strength for the night.” She raised her chin. “Then I shall, as well, and perhaps these horrible monsters can yet be caught. Let us get to the inn, then. I shall need a nap if I’m going to be up all night.” No one was lynched!
