  1. @MetaTerminal Are you reopening sign ups, then?
  2. This should probably be moved into Cosmere discussion
  3. Congrats to team 5! You beat us by an hour, darn it! <3
  4. Does a team get extra points for being first to solve a puzzle?
  5. What does the leaderboard look like right now?
  6. I have no idea
  7. The problem with the hyphen theory is that the number of times Heralds broke isn't significant. That is, I asked Brandon how many Desolations there were, and he didn't know the number, which means that it's not a significant number (in this case it would even be 16).
  8. I believe Scadrial is the only planet that we've seen that was created by the Shards. From the way Khriss talks about it, it sounds pretty unique in being created by Ruin and Preservation.
  9. Brandon has said that it's more a matter of proximity.
  10. Three things, as I mentioned on discord. 1. Syl says she is the only honorspren to attempt to bond since the Recreance. The Stormfather reinforces this with his reaction and behavior in WoR. Notum and the sequence in Shadesmar in OB as well. 2. Most of the non-Skybreaker Radiants were killed soon after the Recreance. 3. Radiants aren't immortal. With access to stormlight, they heal to their spiritual Ideal, but age is part of the spiritweb, so you can only ever heal to your actual age, not to a younger age. Eventually, the organs would still get to the point of non-function. I'm not sure what motivation a Recreance-era ex-Windrunner would have to extend his life? Have you read my thread about the Recreance? It covers some of the reasons I think the Recreance happened.
  11. Here you go. The search terms were "happy+Hoid" My theory on this would be that the version of Lightweaving he uses is either lower powered or just more subtle than Shallan's. Just like how Shallan's surges are quieter than Kaladin's.
  12. We don't have any information on this other than that it's involuntary, so your guess is as good as anyone else's. Brandon wields the RAFOs freely when it comes to Hoid
  13. I love the continuing necro
  14. It's a very tenuous WoB, paraphrased and using "in any way" which can mean anything from direct assistance to "Hey, did you know D&D are on Sel together?"
  15. Not to mention, she starts her period and that's one reason why she took off. Are we talking movie or books? Because the movie says that, but in the books, it's 1 wrapped piece/day. The unique thing is that it does take less to feed you and provides all necessary nutrients to survive, and is tasty too.
  16. Don't get discouraged! Theories are always good, and theory discussion, even if it ultimately is proven wrong, is educational for everyone involved, so it's never bad
  17. Because we've seen the other Heralds and they haven't aged. Aging means dying, and dying means being returned to Damnation, which we know none of the Heralds other than Taln have done. Hoid drew accurate pictures of each of them, from memory. If they aged, those pictures wouldn't be accurate. As far as we've seen, Cognitive Shadows stapled to bodies don't age.
  18. But that's more ruthlessness, not paranoia. I mean, he lost a freaking leg to a whitespine. I don't think Kalak would go on a whitespine hunt in the first place (too paranoid) and wouldn't lose a leg permanently to it in the second place. And again, he's aged since Kaladin has seen him, which a Herald wouldn't do. Edit: Oh, I see we've discussed this before. We're probably not going to change each others minds this time either, so I'll just stop now We'll find out eventually!
  19. What makes you think that? Roshone has aged, has a son, has almost died, since he arrived at Hearthstone. He also doesn't exhibit paranoia or hypochondria, as Weltall mentions.
  20. I don't know that Nightblood would actually be able to devour them. There's the problem of actually hitting them in the first place, and in the second place, we don't know exactly how much investiture they contain, and whether they would overwhelm Nightblood before he could eat them. I would guess that Nightblood could probably chomp the Nightwatcher, but maybe not. The Stormfather, I don't think he'd be able to consume.
  21. Yes, the seons would be considered a type of spren. Spren is just a term for living investiture that wasn't incarnated (kinda-born), so seons, Cognitive Shadows, and the like, would be a type of spren. Also, FYI, instead of posting twice, what you want to do is hit the Edit link under the text of your post, if you have more thoughts to add
  22. From the prologue of WoR, I think it's clear that Jasnah saw Ivory for the first time at Gavilar's feast. Yes, it makes it easier. That's been RAFO'd alas.
