  1. Has the bonding an honorblade fiasco been cleared up yet?
  2. Haven't read warbreaker yet. Solid counterpoint though
  3. In regards to him pooling stormlight and then not usine it against Szeth, I just figure Szeth could just breathe it back in like Shallan does with Lightweaving. Kind of a pointless tool against a surgebinder, let alone one thats "kind of" from the same order
  4. Ok so.. I've always seen the desolations as the battle between Honor and Odium. Presumably so Odium can splinter Honor and move on to another shard. Also, If spren are splinters of Honor, Stormfather being the biggest, and Honor has been killed by Odium, why is it that Odium hasn't considered this a job well done? Why would Honor splinter himself into spren in the first place? Did he allow it? I remember him saying he did not grant the Radiants their surgebinding, it was the spren. So did the spren break themselves off of the shard to do this? Anyone?
  5. Also, on page 12 it says that the edgedancers were the most articulite and refined of the orders. Wyndle strikes me as both those things.
  6. I'm on team gemheart However, I'm not sold on the fact that this is depicting the final fight scene, I just feel like it's the artist adding things from book one. Kaladin, his surgebinding ability, gemhearts, with a shattered plains backdrop. After reading book one the showdown between Szeth and Kaladin was bound to happen, so of course Szeth would have a spot on the cover as well as a teaser. Kaladin wouldn't have landed with a spear in his hands at that point either, and that headband is just plain ridiculous. It is a gemheart though, there isn't anything else it could really be IMO
  7. I agree with Caidhe. I have always felt that the Radiants left their Shards after finding out the Heralds abandoned the Oathpact, and by that reasoning, Talns order would have stayed loyal
  8. I didnt think about Wit and his trickery. Didn't think an Honorblade could be stolen from a herald so easily. Taln probably isn't exactly himself either I suppose, but he did show spunk a couple of times in WoR. Just more to ponder I guess
  9. Did anyone else find it odd that Dalinar bonded the blade that Taln carried, and then had no surgebinding abilities? Or did I read that wrong?
  10. Blackberry Q10! I might be the only one but im proud haha
  11. Remember that you are at the beginning of a 10 000 + page series. The first book gives you a solid foundation in history and by the end of it we as readers really start to see where this series is going. With that being said, I loved EotW from beginning to end, and the only book in the series that I thought really dragged was CoT. Way too much Elayne
  12. I have always found it intrresting that there are 3 gods and 3 moons. I flirt with the idea that the tranquilline halls is actually one of the moons, possibly where tanavast lived/watched the life he helped create. It is entirely possible that if tanavast had a moon of his own, then cultivation and odium could as well
  13. Kaladin Kah-lah-din? Kah-lah-deen? Kaladin like Aladdin the movie with a k? Shallan Shall-un? Shuh-lawn?
  14. Hello all, I have been a huge Brandon Sanderson fan ever since reading the Way of Kings. The only other book of his I've read at the moment is The Emperors Soul, but after hearing about the cosmere I have ordered the 4 Mistborn novels, Elantris, and Warbreaker. Are there any more Cosmere related books I should be purchasing? Thanks
