  1. Star Wars is a better fit, I think, than Harry Potter.
  2. Harry Potter perhaps? But I would have thought it'd have been Curiosities turn to make a riddle.
  3. Curious, is Claincy usually quiet when he plays? He's only popped in once or twice (I think?). Edrab had continued to take notes, with more stuff continuing to happen. One person lost their life as an arugment turned ugly, and then during the night, another person was found dead with a knife in the back, being, without a doubt, another victim of the Jeskeri cultists. The Shaod also took one of those who had been confined to the area. He was summarily banished to Elantris, where the rest lived out their unending days of misery. He also moved around through the crowds, listening into conversations, noting down who was actively participating, and who was suspicious of whom. It might come in handy a bit later, he thought to himself. While continuing to listen in on conversations, he heard was seemed to a fortuneteller. He listened to a few people ask the man, who went by the name Clankii, for their fortune. After the current person asked for their fortune, Edrab decided to approach Clankii. "Would you mind telling my fortune afterwards?" I couldn't hurt, he reasoned. Something interesting to put in the book at least, he was sure.
  4. Well, sure, I can say the same thing. EDIT: To be clear, I am not a convert. But like I think people have raised, if I was Gyorn, I'd spend the first few rounds converting inactives to keep myself out of the picture till further into the game. So, I'm not sure how much value there would be in anyone saying that they're not. And if someone think's they have a good reason to not say, that won't stop them lying. Though, it is then interesting when someone else gets converted, and gives a list and it has active players who haven't said anything. Thank you Clanky. Been looking at Halo lore and such like, so I had that quote on my brain. I've learnt my lesson, so I'll avoid doing it in the future. The post (coming only a few minutes after the thread came up, and when it seemed there was lots of weirdness with the votes/lynch) was meant to be a nothingness post till I could go back through and double check what we expected and what then we could say about the lynch. EDIT: What I'm struggling with is trying to work out people. This is the first time I'm playing with people like Kas, Wilson, Claincy. I've got no reference for what they're like to interact with. I guess I've been hoping I could work out someone who I could trust with basically no reservations. What would really help us this game is if we manage to hook up a priest with a Citizen with a Seon. Then we could start calling shots if the Priest finds any elliminators. But I guess that's going to take a couple cycles for the Priest(s) to scan enough people.
  5. Well, I was trying to set myself up to take down Converter, but this seems to have got forgotten for the time being. So I'll do this instead: 15 Chase 10 Rainmaker 12 Euphoria 5 Converter 11 Phoenix 5 Tonedeaf 11 Cornucopia 5 Hypno
  6. Has it not fallen already? Or as in, real Oregon. Doctor Who spoiler: That question?
  7. The next question for Twi would then be 'Is there another Star Wars movie coming?'
  8. Wait, what? Already a new question?
  9. I know I've been Kandra the last two games, but they don't exist in this one (do they?). (To be clear - HaelBarde would be my default Kandra name, I guess). :'( I knew it might sound slightly off, but I really felt like quoting Guilty Spark, and I missed the opportunity to at the end of Day 1. No more Halo references then... On to actual game related stuff, my thoughts had been they targeted him because of the disagreement last cycle. I think my guess would be that they would be trying to put suspicion on those who were involved - would be safer than a double bluff I'd have thought - there are a whole lot more people who didn't get involved than did. But yeah... yay for dilemmas :/
  10. To quote Guilty Spark: "Oh. How unfortunate." Though I guess that's to be expected. Stupid cultists. At least we didn't lose any roles or items. Hope you get better soon Phattemer. Losing all your hair is no fun. You'll just need to go fix Elantris, that's all.
  11. Though I know QF games are different, it was interesting to note in QF7 that the eliminators managed to control all three kills on round 1 - obviously they had their eliminator kill, but Joe suggested the smoking gun target the person with the 2nd most votes, so basically aimed the second kill. For the lynch it self, Dow and Phattemer voted on each other, one of the eliminators voted for Dow I think, then Wonko (not an eliminator) voted Dow, and then two of the other 3 eliminators ended up jumping on Dow, ending up deciding the lynch. Which, in retrospect, was risky of them. But then, it was a QF game. Even with that in mind, it makes me wonder about those who jumped on the Fel brass and woodwind oriented group of musicians on a wooden cart.
  12. Oh that's interesting, Wonko. I'd not made that connection about the Lovers. Any votes that went through on a player mean that the voter is not a lover with the votee. I'm not sure why you are discounting these guys from being Keepers - Keepers don't have to use their secret vote. Case in point - Mckdee's vote counted even though he had the option of a secret vote.
  13. Hey, spoiler tags are a good idea. Maybe I'll go edit. And yes, I specifically thought of you when I saw that storefront.
  14. Well, at least over on the MBI, there's a checkbox that lets you make the first tag appear next to the topic name like that. EDIT: Yup, there's a checkbox that lets you make the first tag a prefix. Been there on the MBI for ages, can't comment about it here. Has the update happened yet?
  15. Random aside, if I may: So, I was in town shopping for birthday presents and I went into a stationary shop (Typo), and this was the sight which confronted me: My first thought was 'Weren't some people on the Reckoners RPG crazy about pugs? They'd love this place.'
  16. You're not quite right there Mailliw, I don't think. The two things to consider: Spencer Bonus Votes Spencer did not post here and vote. (Did he even post at all?) Yet, his vote has appeared. Yes, it could be the Prince/Princess, or it could be the Duke/Duchess (also a possibility). Then we have two bonus votes - one on Fel and one on Mckeedee. Yup, one of the voters on each could be a/the King/Queen (GM Question: Is it possible for there to be multiple King/Queens or will there be just one - I was presuming there will only be one). The Keepers of the Tunnel also get secret votes, so presumably one of those was active. Just wanted to highlight all the possibilities. EDIT: GM Question: So, can we then conclude that Mckeedee is not a Citizen Keeper of the Tunnel? (I would have thought that is not impossible that Fel could have the same role and alignment)
  17. So should Fernarrnia have been lynched instead of Mainem? Or were there more shenanigans going on than last minute discussion and swing voting? EDIT: Is this just the Dowanax thing from LG11 all over again?
  18. The way I see things is the Debtor's roll is not something we can't really manage. It's more about forcing them to vote (or not vote) when they'd really rather do the opposite. If they vote, and then it seems a tie is inevitable, it basically forces them to withdraw their vote and face the consequences. Alternatively, if they don't vote, and it ends up with a tie, they're basically forced to choose one of the tied votees and condemn them to death (and again, face the consequences).
