    Good day, sirs and madams, my name is Shimble Leice, and I am a the third son of the second daughter of a minor branch of the Venture house. Moreover, I am fairly certain that my father was half-skaa, though my old lady was noble. As a consequence, sirs and madams, I am rather insecure about my ties to nobility - while at the same time secretly afraid to appear TOO noble, due to the actions of the Survivor and his followers. I compensate by sayin' things like "Sirs and madams" and acting much more eloquent than I am (mixing in slang accidently as a result of my mixing with such unscrupulous elements as your good selves), while dressing ostentatiously, gaudily, and cheaply, sirs and madams. Quirks: "Sirs and madams", "Good day", uses Georgia font, false eloquence mixed with mild slang Features: Walking the line between skaa and noble left Shimble caustic towards both - but when he gets his act together, he can talk on a level to either. A go-between and negotiator, with a penchant for turning the tables to benefit himself as much as his client, he cons and swindles as fast as he swigs cheap whiskey. From a frosted glass, of course.     However, Dalinar also mentions that he remains religious despite recognising that the entity they called God is dead. Jasnah wasn't religious when she believed that God was actually a spren of incredible power, and alive and well. It would be interesting if their positions gradually equalized, though I think Jasnah would lose something by losing any degree of atheism - handled well, though, she could reconcile her viewpoint with Dal and without conceding her beliefs at all.

    Sazed was kind of a mentor. On the other hand, Kelsier spend the whole book making intriguing plans, gaining Vin's trust, teaching her Allomancy, etc. We know how that worked out.

    I think that taking Kal's Shards was a catalyzing moment for him - he either became honourable out of guilt...or treacherous after having tasted it.

    If that one page was a single chunk rather than a exhaustive trimming of description and clipping of dialogue, or rather a few smaller chunks, perhaps we could see the "deleted scenes" as bonus content?

    Probably not, because metalborn implies you were born with it. So, only allomancy and feruchemy - though maybe someone who had gained those abilities hemalurgically would count too.

    I'm tempted to agree, though I don't think that the spren are Cryptics, mostly because we've already got one confirmed Lightweaver and a potential one. If that's the case, I think our lawful murderous buddy Darkness got to him before he could do much.
