Having been lynched D1 several times before, I can tell you that it isn’t all it’s hyped up to be. Also, why should anyone need more reasoning to vote on someone than the fact that said person claimed elim? On a side note, I’m pretty sure that claiming elim (regardless of alignment) is pretty unhelpful to (or at the very best, useless for) your team.
-
If that's true, it's not helpful. Claiming vanilla means that the elims have an easier time picking out players with roles.

This might not be the case if you joined the vote .

Guess we need to get some votes down. Let’s lynch Elkanah.

Long Game 68: Studies of Ashyn

Wow. I can't believe I didn't make the connection there. I send in an order for the Night and also vote on someone . -

So I was cured of Progression, but I still have my medical background. No functional change, although I find it interesting that at least 3 people were cured last night (also that Illwei mentions a "mass cure" after only 2 people have mentioned being cured). At least Matrim can't roleblock me now. And honestly, if there are any villagers planning on roleblocking me, please lynch me instead. As for who I want to lynch, I agree with who Matrim has as village, although I'm probably a little more strongly leaning village on Ash. I'd probably want to lynch either Matrim, Illwei, or someone who is keeping a low profile. Also, just saw this as I was writing my post: I've only cured TJ and Kas, and with TJ I didn't really know what diseases did, only that TJ was the only confirmed disease (to my knowledge) at the time. Matrim supposedly roleblocked me last Night (I believe him, since I could easily have falsified that claim had I remembered to send in an action). I do think I'll send in a cure order, possibly on one of the people keeping a low profile. -
I suppose I'll sign up. I think my life should settle down a bit now. Hadrian Penrod is joining the fun.

Long Game 68: Studies of Ashyn

That's a good point. However, both of our posts were made in fairly quick succession right before rollover, so It's possible that Devotary didn't take my switch into account when voting Ash. -

So, Matrim. The main thing I have against him is that I think his lists of reads are too much on the null/village side of things. Even D1, there are 3 village reads. I would suspect a villager to be suspicious of everyone naturally, while an elim would be comfortable throwing around village reads. The other thing is the attempted lynch on Lotus D3. I’ll also note that Matrim voted alongside Devotary during D1. I’m not sure that this is meaningful unless Illwei is elim (and it might even be a reason to read Matrim as village, because elims like to keep some distance). Also the fact that Devotary seemed to want Ash lynched D1 is causing me to back off on my elim read on Ash. Last, I know I’ve been making a lot of mistakes this game (I twice voted for dead people). So I’m just going to throw it out there that, over the duration of this game, I moved across the country, then moved out of my apartment, had qualifying exams, started classes, and started teaching a class. Under no circumstances should anyone feel bad about lynching me (it might actually be a relief), especially since I have certainly done some things this game that are suspicious. But perhaps consider my posts/actions in light of the above circumstances. Edit: I do like that Kas gave me my own category in his analysis. Makes a guy feel special . -

I probably won't be able to get back to you on this in detail until near the end of the turn or during the night. He had a couple of posts in the first two cycles that were off to me. -

What link is there between me and Straw? I’m pretty sure my only interactions with Straw this game have been a null read last cycle and a vote this one. -

I was/am suspicious of him and Devotary was getting lynched regardless of where my vote was. Why bother stabbing some who is already dead? I don’t remember commenting on the Lotus lynch attempt, although it did seem rather suspicious to me. -

Eh, it’s late (or early) here, and there is only a 1 letter difference between the names. Straw. -

I forgot to send in an action, so Matrim probably still has his power. May as well join in on Straw. Who knows, I might live out the game! Edit: wrong name -

I’d also like to say that I will continue to use my healing ability. I think the powers are of greater potential use to the elims than the village (or at least the vote stuff is), so I plan to cleanse people using my best judgement. I would tend to say that fewer elim reads is a better way to blend in than few village reads. It’s also generally easier to check if an elim read someone posted is sincere; just propose to lynch the relevant person. -

Real quick, I was using my ability under the assumption that diseases had downsides (not sure if this is true for N2, I think I wanted to see Kas’s reaction, which he didn’t). I actually have 2 copies of the healing power, with progression and the medical background. -

I didn’t see much point in further posts once Sart made his claim. -

My apologies. For some reason I was looking for a different name when I checked the vote tally. Regardless, it seems like nearly everyone is waiting to see what people say. Somebody has to start. Somebody has to step forward and do what is right, because it is right. If nobody starts, then others cannot follow. -

I guess that's proof that my reads aren't 100% accurate . You didn't have a vote in by the end of last cycle and you haven't yet voted this cycle. Who are your suspicions? Would you vote on one of them? Who do you trust? -

There is no confusion, and I'm not particularly interested in any explanations. I'd rather hear other people's suspicions and their reactions to mine. Also, vote tally: Devotary (2): Kasimir, TJ Shade Matrim (1): Araris -
Long Game 68: Studies of Ashyn
Araris Valerian replied to The_God_King's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Here's a tentative list of reads: Village: Lotus TJ Kas Devotary Striker Vapor Elim: Matrim Lahilt Ash Pyro Nothing here is really in order of suspicion, more in the order that I found a post that gave me that feel. Matrim is the strongest of my elim reads, but I'd be fairly willing to switch to one of the other three. And of course, some of those reads are due to my guesses of how people with different alignments would react to a blackout game, so I don't expect this to be perfect. I'd also like to ask the 5 people I don't have here, @Sart, @Elandera, @Straw, @Illwei, and @Frozen Mint to get involved in the discussion a bit more, since I currently don't have much of a read on any of you (my lack of read on Illwei/Mint comes after a more close reading of the first couple of turns, whereupon I realized that my suspicions didn't make a ton of sense). I'd also like to point out that Kas has now voted on Devotary twice this cycle for some reason. -

I was going to say that I disagree and that I fit this profile while being rather prolific in my last elim game, and then realized that most of the rest of my team could have been described as peripheral. I’ll try and do a somewhat comprehensive analysis post tomorrow, off to bed for now. -

I just want to echo this, and apologize if I seemed too aggressive towards anyone. Said aggressiveness is just bleeding out of my playstyle into my opinions on other things, which I clearly didn’t express very well. I think most of what I said was meant to be directed at the GM PM stuff, which is against SE rules possibly for some of the reasons I mentioned. I may make a post in the game meta thread that is worded a little more carefully. -

You weren't supposed to answer that in thread... I might move this discussion to a PM. Edit: Ninja'd I guess.
