  1. From what I understood, the pain knife is a weapon, though it incapacitates rather than kills.
  2. That seems reasonably plausible. I can down-vote again now, though not a few hours ago. EDIT: Urk. But only once, it seems. Need to wait some more time to further punish that impish loon.
  3. And please use the "Quote" or "MultiQuote" function when you are responding to something that is situated further back in the thread. I am having difficulties finding who you normally "would agree with", and what your said theory is. Are you addressing Gloom and defending your "Highstorms are of Odium" hypothesis? EDIT: And you're most welcome. Nice to see former lurkers taking an interest and having their say=)
  4. We have a Word of Brandon on it. I'll see if I can find it. EDIT: Found it
  5. Use this tag (but spell it "spolier" not "spolier"): [spolier]your text[/spolier]. EDIT:
  6. From what I understood from Navani's comments and the descriptions from Szeth's attack on (Titants! No, wait...) the Jah Keved king, the current fabrial technology seem to limit "the Halfshards" to their current round and shield-like form,
  7. Well, he's been to Sel, so it wouldn't be preposterous so suggest that he might have roamed the Cosmere a bit more than is currently known. Though we do not have enough information to do more than guess, right now. If he has been elsewhere, however, then he doesn't seem to have had much lasting effect on any other worlds than Sel.
  8. No, no they would not. Soulforging becomes less and less effective the further you are away from MaiPon, and would presumably not work at all in Fjorden. Besides, the magic of Sel is regionally based and Fjorden (along with Svorden, Duladel and Jindo) most likely have it's own local flavour.
  9. [Out of Game] I would normally have known that. There is a bug, though, where the "Edited by [...]" line from older posts cites the name the poster had when it was edited last, not the current one. I've been using it to find the real name-tags behind the "Ookla" one, and Serendipity has an old post which says "Edited by Windrunner". I just thoughtlessly copied that. Sorry for the confusion, guys! [/Out of Game] Hmm... Buy, because that would be awesome. Rysn will be one of the future focus characters for the Stormlight Archive.
  10. I'm in!
  11. There is a common belief on this forum that the Highstorms are of Honour and that the Crem it carries are of Cultivation. As you yourself point out, life sprouts out after a storm, and it would be reasonable to assume some of it could be because of Cultivations touch through for example the cream, which plants use as nutrients, Cremlings eat and most crustaceans use to make their shells.
  12. I, uh, somehow missed this. Thanks.
  13. Apparently, "Zucchini" was a member who actually got to -30 through legitimate down-voting. Chaos "accidentally" deleted him a while back. Do anyone of you remember him? How bad was he?
  14. I... have no words... Zucchini??? Also, could there possibly be any more negative achievements?
  15. This. This is brilliant! Who made this???
  16. Well, worst reported hailstorm on Earth was in Bangladesh on the 14th of april, 1986. The storm killed 92 people with hailstones weighing up to 1 kilogram (2 pounds)! <source> Given those numbers, I'd rather make a Bridge-run then stand out in a Rosharan hailstorm.
  17. Thanks to both of you. Secondary question: how many posts 'til we get six?
  18. Sorry. Sell, because I really want her to be genuine. Now, back to me ripping off Windrunner's (currently "Ookla the Serendipitous") idea.
  19. That's just uncanny, Windrunner. Ninja for the first and second time two posts in a row! Sell. I don't really think there would be much interesting interaction between them. Now, pardon me for almost blatantly copy-catting you: Syl will have a very interesting conversation with Wyndle if/when they meet.
  20. I choose to believe that Wit is actually hinting at a true story here. If Renarin really had determined to ignore him - as Adolin claims - I think he would have had it in him to do so for a tad longer than this. So what does Wit do? Well he starts telling bits and pieces of a true story (though probably a bit exaggerated) - that would have been embarrassing, at least in Renarin's mind - to coax him into responding. And I allege before you that it would be awesome if Renarin was secretly this enthralling debonair!
  21. And how doth Thee sense mine alleged odour over thine own? It is most odoriferous and devilish indeed! It is rivalled only by thine most repugnant and grotesque visage!
  22. Is it just me or does Amaram actually seem like a decent guy (especially for an Alethi Brightlord) that just got thoroughly off course? I am sort of hoping there is a possibility of redemption for him, even though what he did is completely baffling and unforgivable.
  23. I don't know, Feather. He does remark that his "failing with her was somewhat different from the others" or something (I don't have my book with me right now). I have a feeling she's still alive. At least I hope so. Um, I am unsure whether or not I should put buy or sell here, because Kaladin already knows that Amaram is going to be around as one of his Bridge-men (might have been Skar or Sigzil) said he was on his way to the Plains. When Amaram gets to the plains, Kaladin will flip out and try to attack him, but his fellow former Bridge-men will somehow talk him out of it.
  24. I get the member part. But are you sure about the posts? There is already a number to show how prolific I've been, so why go for redundancy with the dots?
  25. Thou art the worst of autodidactic an-alphabets, theFallGuy. Squirmeth under our unimaginative scorn, Thou lecherous, accursed knave!
