There's too many rules! Why don't I just hide out in my room for the rest of my life? I should be doing homework. But wait. And, because I'm on the subject of Doctor Who memes, I might as well...

Not at all. Just sayin' I've felt that feel or whatever they're sayin' nowadays. This is why we nerds need an online forum to discuss our favorite books and such, though. That way we can have friends in the safety of our own homes without ever having to attempt to raise our voices above a mumble.

Kinda like me at school... Me: Look! A fellow awkward person! We could be best fwends! He said nothing to me. I said nothing to him. I always have a song running through my head, and it usually changes with my mood, but today my in-brain music player was running into some problems. I don't know any songs about awkwardness. It's an emotion I've felt a lot lately (completely and totally not my fault; for some reason there are people at my school and I have to talk to them!) and my music-y side can't find anything that fits better than somewhat sad songs. Why are there no songs about everyday awkwardness? Maybe I'll go through my Owl City songs and see how that works...

Mist grumbles about insubordinate members and heads off to get another batch of bookies out of the oven. "I'm getting out the Sarenes and... aw man, the Sicks are, well, sticks. I thought I had that fixed..." She sighs and brings out the Sarene bookies anyway. "Who's hungry?"

I posted, but Mist can't do much right now.

"I've never been to Roshar," Mist says, suddenly interested in Saga. "So they really do things by eye color. Weird. I'm not sure how I'd fare, I mean, people say my eyes are everything from brown to green to a muddy sort of blue. Is is really as extreme as they say? Roshar, I mean." At this point she stands up and starts gesturing wildly. "It seems to be, from what I've heard- I mean, the strict social classes, the highstorms, the religion, dress code- is it true about the, the, is it safehands? That's what they call it, right- or is that all just the one country? I remember hearing about a place, Shinovar, that was more like- but then-" Mist's face fell suddenly. "I did it again, didn't I," she said with a weak laugh. She plopped back down next to Saga.

Y'know what you can do about that? Get better. I usually hate getting that answer, but it works. Make an effort to practice and show up anybody that says you can't.Besides, I doubt you're actually holding them back just because you're not being asked to solo and you're being corrected. And don't you give up just because you think you aren't good enough. Honestly, I'm in much the same position, having moved to a high school with a much better band than the one I came from. Hang in there. Also, what do you play? I'm trumpet, though probably switching to baritone because this band has about fifteen trumpets.

When I was packing, I spent a ton of time organizing my papers. And anything else that would sit still.Have fun packing. Don't kill yourself, don't die, and don't kill anyone.
