  1. Mr Peter thnxs for the support. I'd like to ask you, would it be possible to actually convert TWoK into an anime? Although Japanese light novels and visual novels are often converted into anime, I've never actually heard of a Western novel being converted into an anime. X men did become an anime but that's a comic. In fact, I remember that Mr Brandon was once asked if he would consider converting Mistborn into an anime. At the time, he replied that he'd like to but that he had no idea how to go about doing it.
  2. I thought the Ten Fools were the heraldic equivalents of Odium. So are they same as or different from the Unmade?? Also if the Dawnshards weren't created for the Heralds, who were they created for? Since the Heralds already have their Honorblades.............
  3. If stormlight archive were the wheel of time Jasnah pulls her braid until she goes bald. She learns the Fifth Ideal for all women is Nudity and that all women must participate in a nude ceremony to become a complete Soulcaster. Jasnah, Shallan and Eshonai fall in love with Kaladin and participate in a nude ceremony to become True Sisters. Also when Jasnah has sex with Kaladin, the others feel the orgasm too as they are all bonded together, but they have no probs whatsoever with it. Also note, Kaladin has sex with Jasnah only after she complains about him having had sex with the other to already. Teft becomes a Kaladin fanatic, declares him Jezrien reborn and becomes a big tyrant, until he is put down by Moash. Shallash pretends to be a good Herald and helps Kaladin but is later revealed to be one of the Forsaken..oops... i mean, one of the Ten Fools. ..........Most importantly, it is revealed that S&M is an integral part of Vorinism, and therefore all women kick, slap and beat their husbands half to death.
  4. I think the highstorms aren't just storms............... they're some kind of spren(maybe) or some other kind of being which spans both the physical and cognitive realms....... Remember, Lift had the power of converting food into Stormlight and she was spread across both the realms ........... the same is true of the highstorm i.e it is converting "something" into Stormlight.....and I suspect it has nothing whatsoever to do with Jezrien since the highstorms were present even between desolations..... the Windrunners are described as riding the Storms...... and what exactly is Yelignar or Blightwind anyway - something similar??? They're definitely not one of the Shards..... i'm sure of that, considering the way it spoke. Also consider the fact that Jezrien had that much power something like a Thunderclast couldn't even scratch him but Kelek describes himself as having been killed by a Thunderclast several times although he too was a Herald.
  5. Mr Sanderson has stated that TWoK has shown or mentioned every one of the Heralds at some point of time. I have a suggestion. Lets have a thread where we list out EVERY character that we see in TWoK, then start eliminating those who are definitely not Heralds. The leftover bunch have to have the Heralds included in them. Then let's see which characters are likely to repeat in the future (since all of the Heralds will have some role in the coming battle). This way, we can eliminate nonsense characters like Axies' beggar who are definitely not Heralds. Characters like Dalinar's officers are far more likely to be the Heralds. Also eliminate dead characters, since i'm pretty sure that they can't be the Heralds. Remember that Mr Sanderson is someone who likes to hint at the truth without actually giving it away. If two people in far away kingdoms are described to have similar physical descriptions, then that's a good indication that they are Heralds. Let's eliminate Shallash and Nalan since they are nearly confirmed.
  6. I totally agree.......
  7. Hi, I started this thread to ask u guys a question. In what form would u like the Way of Kings to appear in popular media? Presently there are two major options - as a movie or a tv series. Both have their pros and cons. A movie would have awesome special effects and I can totally imagine some awesome scenery, like Avatar. However the con is that such a movie would have to be heavily edited and half or more of the scenes would have to be cut to be within a reasonable size. Even Lord of the Rings became too long with 4 and 1/2 hr long movies. The Way of Kings which is way larger would not fit within a reasonably sized movie. Also note, while The Eye of the World was bought by a studio, it hasn't yet been made into a movie primarily because of its length, I think. But, on the other a tv series like Song of Ice and Fire has its own defects. While more of the plot could be captured, they would have nowhere near the budget of a movie and therefore none of the superb special effects. While political fantasies like the SoIaF can be accurately represented, there is no way epic fantasies like TWoK can be shown with all the special effects needed. Which brings me to an out-of-the-box suggestion. I believe that there is a format that could accurately capture both the length and special effects needed. I believe ANIME is a good option. Now, I admit I have no idea how it could be done nor any idea about the process involved. But, I must point out that visual novels (which are more or less like Western novels) have been made into anime for a long time. I admit that I am biased toward anime. The advantages, however are obvious. Far fewer scenes will have to be edited and it definitely will not look bland. So I wanted to ask u guys, What do u think??? Anyone interested in seeing Kaladin or Dalinar in an anime??? Any other suggestions are also welcome.
  8. I have a question about the steelhunt...... Has Brandon specifically made a statement opposing sharing of Steelhunt codes? Insofar as i can see, neither Brandon nor Peter have specifically objected to its sharing......... I wouldn't keep harping on this but I have to admit that the steelhunt is kind of unfair to those of us, who are neither citizens of US or UK and will probably never see a Brandon signing in our lives. ( I am from India, where most bookshops don't even stock Brandon's books.)
  9. Lift reading....... Transcript please..........
  10. I'm nearly certain that Nohadon is a sliver of the Almighty. I say this, because he was responsible for the five oaths that are part of each order of the Knights Radiant. Kaladin says that the Stormlight worked better for him after he made the second oath. But the Radiants preceded Nohadon, and therefore saying the Words should not have had an actual physical effect. This is probably because Nohadon actually bacame a Sliver and changed the way Surgebinding worked. Also, note that Dalinar's vision of Nohadon is the only one where the Almighty does not talk to him. I'm not sure what the significance of this event is, but i believe it's because he's a Sliver. Also, out of curiosity, is there a chance that Odium has Heralds of his own?
  11. Could someone post the transcript of the Lift interlude from WoR?
