    When i finished reading the Hero of Ages and they all came out of that cavern into a completely alien world, which was pretty much an Earth copy, I got the feeling that if you were not hiding underground somewhere, like Spook and the others, that your chances of surviving were close to nothing. So yeah, i would agree with you that it was an extinction of approximately 95% which is disgustingly massive...

    As much as i hate to use the explanation,"Magic did it!" I think that in this case it will have something to do with investiture. Maybe they have some sort of symbiotic relationship with a spren, sort of like the Great Shells and their spren?

    Now I'm curios as to how you pronounce Jasnah Do you say it the phonetic way, so something like "Jas na" or how Brandon says it which sounds like "Yasnah"?

    You know that you are a Sanderfan when you have unrealistic expectations for any other authors. It doesn't matter what the expectation is(fast Writing speed; great characterisation; in depth world-building; a multi-layered story; unpredictable story twists; etc..) because almost all other authors just cant keep up.

    I liked them the first time i read them, but i was 12-14 so... when i look at them now i just find the writing super simplified and the stories are very predictable. I don't think they are good reads for anybody over the age of 15. The fact that my library promotes these books and ignores Brandon disappoints me though

    You know you are a Sanderfan when you no longer trust your school library because, well... Librarians! and then they do not have any Sanderson Books? they are trying to hide the truth I tell you! or they simply have terrible taste(i mean they do promote Percy Jackson as a great fantasy book for all ages...)

    Wow, I may have only been a member for just under 2 years now, but i truly love this forum and the discussions that we can have on here. i know i lived a great life before i read Brandon's books and joined 17th Shard, but now i can literally not imagine my life whithout them! Thank you to all the admins and members of this amazing Forum, there is none other like it! Here is to another 5 amazing years

    Surge Binding is pretty great as well I'll admit, but I need it to become more fleshed out first. Knowing Brandon, it is going to be suitably complicated and incredible in the end, but right now it is still an unknown to me.
