  1. Yeah, all are external metals and none of them are pushing or pulling really. If anything, I could see having a push and pull for each, making them like steel and iron but for the different elements, but that is still only external (and 8 metals) So two has to effect you and 2 has to effect other things, each needing a push and pull. I'm trying to think of stuff to be elemental but I'm drawing a blank right now. I'm trying to think of 4 elemental metals that gives you push/pulls and external/internal.
  2. Ok, so all we know is that it was caused by something, but we don't know what. My theory for now is just that it is Dilaf/Wyrn/one of Dilaf's monks under orders from Wyrn/Dilaf
  3. Ok, so the chasm happening is what ended up causing all of the problems, but do we know what actually caused it? Is it just an earthquake happened to happen, or was it a revenge thing of "I'm going to make an earthquake to destroy Elantris b/c they killed my wife"
  4. Are we sure that no LoR his a LoF? I don't remember it happening, but I'm curious on what would happen. Do we think it would just hit it, trying to break it, or do we think it would bounce like a LoV? Also, is it possible to bounce a LoV (or assuming it bounces, LoR) into a group of LoFs so it continuously bounces between them until one of them breaks enough for it to move out?
  5. Only knowing Mistborn and Elantris, I'm assuming that the gods here are similar to Ruin and Preservation. My question is whether or not the seons would know this. (Only knowing some Cosmere stuff, I'm assuming that these gods are shards, though I don't really know what that means more than knowing that Ruin and Preservation are shards, so my thought is they are like them.) My other question on that actually would be would the gods on this planet be one shard or two, since even in canon some believe they are the same gods with different names, like worshiping yahweh or allah.
  6. The most recent I've heard it was at CTcon when I was in the audience, people who had more cosmere knowlege than I do asked about it. I'm sure they asked about it because it was said somewhere else first though. I didn't do much looking at realmic theory stuff b/c of spoils so all I really know is that if Rithmatics wasn't on earth it could fit realmic theory magic. But it's on earth, so it doesnt.
  7. I like the idea of it breaking through a wall like vigor breaks through LoF. So, would like 15 shots break a wall? And you really did bring up a good point of, do we really know it hits 3d things? Unless the reason it knocks you down b/c it is like a moving LoF, hitting with a force that goes all the way up, coud it only effect the two of them b/c of a chalk shadow? Actually, that even brings the point of could it effect other rithmatists but not normal people? Even they have a chalk creature of some kind bound to them.
  8. yeah, I'm just saying, the magic system was originally made for the cosmere before he decided a form of earth would be what he wanted to do for it. So while the book is not cosmere, the magic system fits cosmere theories. You are completely right though, being that it isn't part of the cosmere, it really doesn't belong here. Even if it did, I doubt I would pick that over most of the other stuff. haha. But back on topic, I'd probably go with Feruchemy. I really only know of the Mistborn magic systems in the cosmere (didn't learn about what you could really do with the magic system with Elantris where I am in the book), and with Mistborn magic I'd pick Feruchemy. Really, I'd love to be a full Feruchemist and Mistborn though. haha. Even assuming you don't know about compounding it would be fun to have both. Then if you know, it's just total OP like LR.
  9. I don't know about the other one, but Rithmatics even though it is not part of the cosmere is a magic system that could fit in the cosmere, so I feel like it should be able to fit in this thread, since it is just about the magic systems and not really the universe.
  10. Lets say you want to get your potions professor to tell you what he told a student about some dark magic back in the day. He already got mad at you for asking, what do you do? You compound some luck and go for a walk. You find your friend who's pet died and invite the potions professor to come with you, get some ingrediants, and all get drunk and your professor gives you the info you want. That's the type of thing I think would happen with Feruchemical luck, possibly better with compounding it.
  11. Is it bad that my first thought was that he can't be hoid because BS is on earth and earth isn't part of the cosmere. haha. Not any other reason, such as it being a joke, or things like that, just that earth isn't in the same universe... lol
  12. Well in the tourny they were only targeting very specific things. Joel wasn't just having her shoot them all willy nilly, they were targeting to hit exactly where he wanted. They only hit chalk, I'm assuming they didn't even hit the people in the circles b/c that would have been kind of a dick move in a tourny. haha. So I don't think in the tourny we learned anything about them other than that they effect chalk like stronger lines of viggor which we pretty much already know.
  13. I have a few questions with this, some/all might be kind of dumb, but that's ok. First question, which direction does it fire off? I don't think it actually says. Do you draw it with a straight line going forward and then the jagged line going back, the line shooting off where the straight and jagged make the angle together? Or does it shoot off in the direction you end at like a line of viggor? Next, we know that it effects people, but saying that it could effect things that aren't just chalk implies it could effect other things as well? What do you guys think of it's physical abilities other than that on chalk and people?
  14. Are you sure? I'm pretty sure that is how you become a koloss. I think you join a Koloss group and get spiked as a right of passage joining their group. This is obviously different from being Koloss blooded which is when a Koloss mates with someone. I don't know about a full Koloss being controled or not, but I'm pretty sure they are still created by being spiked, though now it is voluntary i think.
  15. I think that soulbending will play a big part in it. It works with our not knowing how something works perfectly, and if you use your stored up investiture you could probably do some awesome stuff with your other things.
  16. 1 Nicroburst - boost the team, mess with other mistings/mistborns, normall reasoning. 3 - Skimmer/Coinshot - weighing a ton and using a nicroboost, kill people with their own guns, not even bullets, their guns. 1 - Soother - Soothers are always good to have. With a Nicroboost they could also control Koloss that are still in the world, and other spiked things really. Make people not want to fight us at all. 3 - Steelrunner/thug - Pewter Savant, always burning pewter, storing speed almost all the time, being able to store speed while moving at normal speed at all times is kind of great. He would usually store enough to be slightly slower than normal even with his pewter speed boost. 1 - Seeker - With nicroboost could even most likely pierce copper clouds. 1- Copper Cloud - Copper clouds are good to have, especially since the thug will be burning at all times. haha. Unfortunately, this with a nicroboost doesn't really seem to do much. haha.
