You just want to explore the goddess of beauty instead of the god of war, I understand you. But yeah, I don't know the melting point of the metals, but it might be too hot for those. I dont know much about Venus, but I got this from the wiki page "With a mean surface temperature of 735 K(462 °C; 863 °F), Venus is by far the hottest planet in the Solar System. " Venus is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. or are you suggesting sky cities up where it isn't too hot and stuff? I guess that could work, but that would probably need more stuff than just TLR going there alone. haha. Actually, I wonder if you'd be able to make yourself light enough to just walk on the heavy atmosphere? Idk how it would work. lol

I call this trilogy 1.5
-
I decided a new way of going about it. We know space travel will be possible in the third trilogy. I'd figure out how to do this, get my own planet (maybe just take Mars) and Hang out until other people find me. I'd also be able to appear every now and then back on earth and be able to talk to people and stuff like getting human interaction and things that I can't do on my planet. After setting it up, get people I like and bring them to my planet if they want. Do things on earth that could make me enough money to buy anything I might need for these things. I wouldn't plan on doing anything that makes people want to kill me (until they find out I could space travel myself, that might be enough to make people know I'm a superman), but if I did, I'd have a different identity each time. But over all, after living on earth long enough being awesome and immortal I'd see if I could survive in space and stuff.

Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win

unless he lives long enough to realize the metal is important. Lash that instead, make TLR age to death. -

I think in AoL it mentions not being able to skim all of his weight b/c of his metals and clothes, but I might be making this up (where it comes from, I'm pretty sure that it's said, I just think AoL is where). -

You'd have to be naked to put your weight to 0, and he's got lots and lots of metal. But the wall wouldn't break unless it can't hold his weight, it can't if he doesn't want it to be able to. haha. But yeah, I'm basing my thoughts on this fight as neither of them know anything until they try their magic and see how it works differently on each other. -

But TLR could change his weight and that would definitely change something. If he compounds, at the very least, the wall would break in some way freeing him. He could also pull himself through it if there is metal around. But yeah, there is nothing to say that the blade would be metal at all, but TLR would assume it's a normal sword, try and push it, and find out that it wasn't normal. I still say that it wouldn't be pushable even if it was metal. Also, just like you can't lash someone in shardplate, I think you couldnt lash TLR. -

Ok, so I came back to see if anything was new and just read the last line, and in my mind I saw it as saying "TLDR, the lord ruler is damnation powerful" which is a good tldr to the post, but not what you said. haha -

Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win

We're talking about him fighting TLR I think, so no sword making you kill yourself. Though, in that fight, would nightblood think he's evil and make him try and kill himself, or would he puke from touching it. -
Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win
jag519 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Cosmere Discussion
haha, that's a good way of looking at it. He'd either win the fight (I doubt it) or he'd die, which would also be a win for him. haha. -
But yeah, Hemalurgy is inherently evil, you're ripping apart someone's soul and putting part of it in you, essentially, yeah, bad. If you're an ends justify the means kinda guy, it could be an evil that has to be done for the greater good, etc, but that act is still an evil. I don't think that the southern group uses mechalurgy, but if that was a necessary evil, I don't know if that would make them necessarily evil, at least according to some philosophies. To be sure, I think Jasnah would be ok with it :-p

Trying and failing Nano is fun too. Really, getting 30k words is nothing to sneeze at. You're getting a big chunk of a novel done, it's about the fun of trying. For advise, I agree with the above about word wars. From what I hear of different people doing wordwars, you can do it over all, just who's in the lead for over all wordcount, who's got more daily, or my favorite, having wordwars with someone at a specific time. Sit down with a friend (in person, or on the computer) set a time limit (lets say half an hour), and write, no speaking, just writing the story. When time's up you both stop and say how many words you got done, have a nice break for a bit and then could continue and have another wordwar. haha. My group of friends on G+ would have G+ hangouts dedicated to wordwars, where we'd pretty much just be sitting in a hangout in silence until the writing time is over. haha. For your ADD and research, hey, if you have fun doing the research, go for it, but only when you finish the amount of time and words you plan on dedicating for the day. Just like Brandon writes his other books as his leisure time, this could be yours. Also I just feel I should add, these bits of advice are from a NaNoWriMo watcher, I haven't done one yet, next year, assuming I graduate from law school this year, I might.

I think first thing LR would do is go "psha, you're coming at me with a sword" and try and push it, and when it doesn't push realize that Szeth is actually a valid attacker he had to deal with. I think his steel speed and iron weight changing could both make Szeth's martial art hard to use on him. If he gets cut in a nonfatal way, LR could heal it b/c I'm pretty sure we have WoB that says gold heals shardblade cuts. You can't push or pull metal that is inside someone, I wonder what would happen if you cut metal that is piercing the LR. I'd assume it would not be cut but it might cut the Hcharge it has. It might just chip at it like it does shardplate until it breaks it though. Over all, I think just what Szeth could do, LR could handle him. -

I'm currently a very much in debt law student, so I rely on the library for my audiobooks, when I'm a lawyer making money (knock on wood, hopefully I become a lawyer making good money, haha), I'll probably have all 3 forms.- 28 replies

Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win
jag519 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think since it would put your weight going in that direction, tapping your weight would make you fly up faster, but if you make yourself almost weightless it would effect you less and you'd float up slowly. -
I think videograme would be great. Just being in the world but probably not very plot related. Even like an Age of Empires, Way of Kings or Age of Stormlight game would be cool. lol But specifically a game based in the far past would be cool, fighting voidbringers and saving villagers.

Cosmere Battle Royale; AKA Who Would Win

So, Mistborn, and Warbreaker both has their godkings, and we put them against each other a lot, but pre-chasm, all Elantrians were considered gods. So, either Raoden or take an elantrian before the chasm happened, one who actually knows their stuff, The Lord Ruler, and Susebron, who'd win if it came to a 3 way fight? Would it be LR b/c he could just be fast enough with compounding speed to kill them before Raoden could draw or Susebron's awakened materials could react? -
Actually, the power of hoid, as a joke actually adds a good one. Though it isn't a specific power b/c we don't know which magic he uses for it, and people with different magic systems could do it, straight up nothing else but world hopping. Just being able to go to the other worlds might be pretty nice, especially if all of a sudden people on this world got the other powers they asked for in this thread :-p But considering AonDor is pretty much closest to Gandolf type magic thats "I want to do this, with the right spell I did this" I feel like it is kind of the best as it is right now. If we learn more about it and understand its limitations more, maybe not, but since it is the least nailed down, probably that. I'd say anything Soulcasting could do you could probably do with AonDor. As stated above, if you could be an elantrian here, and it works, that's probably the best.

Alaxel, I'm pretty sure people would figure out how to kill you, it would be like a mixture between people trying to kill the lord ruler and steelheart "lets find what weakness he has and we have to bring him down" Like the best you'd do is unite everyone against you, which at least giving the world a common enemy would help unite them, but it wouldnt really work in the way you're trying. King of nowhere, the problem is all of this would have to be done with non-metallic weapons. Yes, you could kill me if you work hard enough at it, but really you'd need to make a weapon that could like instantly kill me with as little metal on you as possible. Especially with my Dboosting atium/platinum every now and then. Also I'd check if F-Nboosting things will be like an extra Dboost or not Also I'd see if Dboosting compounding works, maybe dboosting a gold compound could let me heal from a nuke or something, and since i'd be compounding luck at the time, it might actually work, and if not, I'd know it won't work and I wouldnt even try it b/c of my Atium/Platinum that I probably Dboosted. That said, I already established I'd probably be a metal junky b/c I'd use everything way too much. I'd probably need to compound gold to not be like a freaking mistborn servant. haha. Pretty much, if you know everything we know, and if we know what Brandon knows, you'd be pretty close to indestructible unless someone else has magic too.
