  1. “I don’t know that’s possible,” Inkwell yells back to the group.
  2. “Excuse me,” Inkwell said, stepping off to the side some yards away. “I need to have a serious conversation with my inner demons.” ”9/10mmHB#2, what. the. heck. Are you talking about? You sound like a storming antagonist. Provide a character without like, a mind or soul or something?”
  3. Inkwell nearly jumps when Myles appears behind him.
  4. “Uh, when I met Fog, 9/10’ started freaking out. He doesn’t seem to trust anyone, he’s very paranoid, and he tried to kill her with the sword. Except the sword doesn’t kill people, I use it to travel. That was before you arrived.”
  5. “Who are you talking to, 9/10mmHB#2? I want an answer.” He turned to Ribbon. “Uh, yeah. Sorry, the thing in my head that tried to kill one of you is being weird again. I have to keep telling people I’m sane, so…”
  6. Inkwell stares at where the three had disappeared. “Oh. Okay. That just happened.” “What do you mean, a deal?”
  7. The air rushing through the rift, mingling with the air burning at the tattered hems of reality, is thick with salt. Inkwell sheathes The Futility of Language and steps through behind her, back to the cliff side. Two new people have arrived since he was gone. The rift sizzles shut as he raises his hands. “Sorry my alter tried to kill you! I want him dead too! Don’t- shoot?”
  8. Valid, since 9/10mmHB#2 thought he could kill fog last time he saw her. The character is stupid paranoid and lowkey annoying.
  9. “All right, then let’s get out of here before Rebus arrives.” He cuts another rift. “After you, I guess.” He frowns. “That’s hurtful, 9/10. And who are you talking to?”. @Aeoryido you mind if i&9 and Alli appear near ribbon and fog?
  10. “So, the voice in my head just came back after hiding from Rebus like an absolute baby, and wants me to make another rift. Do you have business here that I can help with, or should I listen to him?”
  11. “Oh, you know him?” He looks around nervously. “We should probably get going.”
  12. “He appeared, started talking about some crazy antagonist stuff, then started talking about how he had to murder the protagonists. I don’t really know if he knows I’m neutral right now but 9/10mmHB#2 says he just killed someone named Cricket and that I’m in danger. So, I immobilized him and cut a rift. You didn’t seem to notice he was there.” Uh, reconciling the fact that rebus started talking to i&9 while Alli was there but you were not, idk if you can retcon that
  13. “So, I may have ticked off some all powerful murderer figure?” He checked his notebook, and the sketch had returned to normal, meaning the armor was not longer restraining Rebus. “But he might have let me go? I don’t know.” dragonheir disappeared basically as soon as i made i&9 dip.
  14. Inkwell cursed. “At this point, 9/10, if you say it, I’m pretty sure you’re wrong.” “Last I checked, you don’t get a choice.” He cut another rift. “I told you, I wanted to do something plot relevant. And he hadn’t followed me yet, so…” “I get to pretend you don’t exist,” he replied to 9/10mmHB#2, cutting a rift back to the forest. He landed several hundred meters away from where he’d met Rebus. That was part of his arc, wasn’t trying to be a jerk @Through The Living Glass im not very good at this.
  15. Theoretically, as a Narrator, Rebus might be able to follow Inkwell anywhere he went. Maybe he had been a bit jumpy, but there wasn’t much he could do about that now. As he landed on the back of a giant metal octopus corpse fallen across a mountain, he cut another rift, falling straight through into a royal palace in a world that immediately lacked any shade of yellow or blue. He continued hacking through the membrane of reality, the air behind him sizzling, until he was forced to stop and catch his breath. He had landed on a massive stone plateau, riddled with puddles and little buds sprouting vines as far as the horizon. “I shouldn’t have left her behind!” “That doesn’t make it right!” @DragonHeir @Through The Living Glass i might take a break tomorrow and let the plot proceed for a bit.
  16. Inkwell made a decision. He was a bit over random authors throwing animals at him and teleporting him to have cryptic conversations. If this was a story, his was not about to end here. Alli didn’t seem to notice Rebus. She had frozen completely, but Inkwell decided if he was going to have a character flaw it would be self preservation over selflessness. He had to act quickly, before Rebus could respond. So he took out his notebook, and drew Rebus’ armor. A quick and dirty sketch that immediately stole the soul of the object, drawing it into the notebook, while the real armor transformed into ink, which Inkwell directed with a flick of his thoughts. Hold him. Buy me time. The picture of the armor in the notebook was already fading. Inkwell unsheathed the sword, and cut a rift, leaping through.
  17. ooc note, idk, i was thinking Plagiarism as a Plotblade "Mhm, and I just said I'm an other so you can just stay over there- Hold on, what do you want with me anyway?" He did not sit. At this point, he was not ready to trust anyone.
  18. Inkwell awaits Rebus’ response. The voices in his head have all gone silent. Dang it, the suspense is killing me
  19. Hehehe. Trying to understand the rules of narratorblades and plotblades and other important things for plans *insert malicious cackle*
  20. Does Redemption have a specific Intent, or does it react differently depending on the person? For example, is it telling Rebus he must seek peace because that would redeem him as a murderer? How might Redemption react to someone taking the sword out of ambition, for instance?
  21. Inkwell, growing more concerned for his safety, tried to step back again, but his back slammed against the trunk of another loblolly. Narrators, Rebus. Terms everyone else feared. “I know what an Antagonist is. Forces of nature destroy things. Antagonists oppose ideals. Can you call yourself an antagonist without a protagonist, though? And before you try and bind me to anything, I’m not volunteering. I’m comfortable being a third party, an other, for now. But I digress. I’m not interested in what you call yourself, or your sword. Who are you really?”
