Copper. Then I can read my favorite books over and over and over again and never lose enjoyment of them. Also, I have trouble remebering things so the ability to store my memories where they wouldn't get lsot is quite appealing.

I do believe introductions are in order...

Elantris, but with spoilers in the name of the topic. -
O.o don't spoil anything for me. You are farther than I got. I only have access to a playstation once every two weeks. I'm not sure, perhaps Relationship, If we go by the later sequels (which focus more on the psychological definition of persona) rather than the early ones (which were more like the traditional Shin Megami Tensei series). Its a little hard since there isn't a word that conveys the complexity of the ideas behind the word persona. Maybe the shard would simply be persona. btw: every time I see your name I think this.

No, you will be distracted by the cookie. -
Gotta love Mistborn haters... Not

That would mean we would need to sacrifice people to make them normal. Unless we use other trolls. I am not sure if that works. -
At least someone else has a megaten game. XD

Listening to the soundtrack for Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Magia is my personal favorite.

Electrum Ferrings look like they have manic depressive disorder. Shrug off psionic abilities and/or enchantments while tapping, and increases the duration of psionics and enchantments while storing. That way they have an abilitty for soloing, and an ability if they have a comrade with them to buff them.

Starry Dragon Umieri What a load of dragon fodder. Umieri rises out of his seat as if greeting the man, but subtly also preparing for any sudden attacks. You can never be too sure around drunk people. "Have a drink and a seat." Umieri indicates the second drink and a chair. Hopefully, my new comrade won't do anything to hasty. You can never tell with wizards.

I think I saw a list somewhere from Chaos, but don't quote me on it.

Starry Dragon Umieri "I had heard many variations of what the dungeon possibly holds and have come to the conclusion that there is no reason not to try. Truthfully, I am rather curious as to what would happen to my soul, should I die here. I have only been in this world for a few weeks, and this city for only a few hours. Standard expedition procedure from my world states that we need at least one main-line martial specialist, one defensive caster, one offensive caster, and a grease monkey, preferably more. Your guess is good as mine as to where we should look."
-
Starry Dragon Umieri " You are researching extraplanar travel? Perhaps I should travel with you. I recommend that we should find more companions, should you accept." Umieri leans back, contemplating. Trans-universal? I might be able to make it back home. May the Sovereign Host guide my steps...and may the Traveler give a little push.

So....who wants to play some D&D?
Emeralis00 replied to Eerongal's topic in World's 17thShardest Dungeon
The form is found in the character creation and FAQ topic. Its in a spoiler. The setting is greyhawk, but you can use any source book, including religions. My character is from Eberron and has an Eberron religion. -
Yes, I know that already. I was actually going to post saying how I was on to something when I had previously posted.

Starry dragon Umieri "Rather than go into another lengthy discussion on dragons, I think I will answer your question. Back home I worked as a bodyguard, more specifically, I worked with a group of bodyguards as primary support. I suppose that I should find someone to hire me, since there is no end to the amount of people planning to go to some sort of dungeon that opened up."

No wait don't go! Its alright, I was just surprised. I have to look at my notes and see what the heck we were doing. Expect a story post for you in a couple days at most.

You know that eventually we will then release the Dark One. You know what? Who cares, gimme my Saidan. Now I want to read the series all over again.

Oh my gosh a person! Welcome to the Caton of Inquisition. I though that this idea was pretty much dead. I'll get to you when I can, as I was not expecting anyone to actually participate. Seriously, look at the dates on those last few posts. Nonetheless welcome.

The Starry Dragon Umieri "Forgive me for being misleading. Eldritch machines cannot exist here. The planes here have a fixed 'orbit' I suppose you could call it. The planes of this universe do not approach or recede. Eldritch machines rely on the powers that become possible when a plane approaches Eberron. As for dragonshards, I do not have any, they are rare enough and so important that they get to be quite expensive. As I was on an expedition when I got forcibly removed, I did not carry any valuables with me, including dragonshards. Also, I study divine magic, and dragonshards are more useful to arcane magic users. "Gold is fine for small purchases where the minute fluctuations of value have little effect. Now imagine that you were trying to by a castle. They cost around 1,000,000 gold pieces. Now imagine that the market suddenly got flooded with gold from various groups, from miners to adventurers returning from a dungeon, to wizards simply creating it. The value of gold will go down, and now your castle costs 1,100,000 gold pieces. In Eberron, the dragonmarked houses regulate the flow of gold, and constructed a banking system to handle it. Aside from the benefits of having to carry a single letter of credit rather than a huge pile of gold, this creates stability, as the miners and adventurers deposit their gold and get letters of credit, which can gain insurance, and the wizards are forbidden from tampering with the market using transmutation, basically the economic system of Eberron encourages everyone with money to use letters of credit. When everyone uses letters of credit, the standard of living increases, because the letters of credit are backed by a well-regulated system that gives them value. This means that even a lowly peasant can afford to purchase magic luxuries such as magebred animals and crops. These purchases then put money in the hands of the artificers and wizards who make the magic items. With that money, they can obtain expensive spell components that allow the many magical marvels that reside in Eberron to exist, and therefore make the castle cheaper."

TV tropes, its kinda like a wiki though. It does have a wide variety of media, and gives things that occur in it called tropes. I have used it to find books before. The site explains it better. EDIT: dyslexia typing >.<

Emeralis00 replied to Eerongal's topic in World's 17thShardest Dungeon
prestige classes are like normal classes, except they have certain requirements that need to be fulfilled. Normally, these requirements can't be fulfilled by characters that are less than level five which is why prestige classes tend to have better abilities. Simple weapons are weapons that don't output a lot of damage, but don't require a whole lot of training to use. For example, a club can be sued by anyone without much skill required. a longsword is going to need more training to use (its a martial weapon) and nunchaku (exotic weapon) require even more than the sword. The only class that really has specific weapons is the monk (they get benefits from using certain kinds of weapons because of their abilities) , other classes have simple and/or martial weapon proficiency. XCan you tell me what you are stuck on about the stats? Is it the point buy or what they are or something else? -
Starry Dragon Umieri Called it. "You are correct in assuming I am a cleric, I am a follower of the Sovereign Host. There is not much I can tell you about the underpinnings of Eberron society, and I am afraid that they rely on several principles which don't apply here." Umieri pauses to drain his first mug of ale, but doesn't touch the second. "First, cosmology. The planes of Eberron aren't like the ones here. They move, and sometimes they are so close they have an effect on the material plane itself, at other times remote and its influence is suppressed. This prevents the creation of certain higher order constructs known as eldritch machines. "Second, the economy of this world is unstable. You have yet to develop a stable system of economics which help stimulate research and development that does not rely upon the quite shaky value of gold. The dragonmarked houses have been crucial for this, but this world can develop this quite easily. "Third, there are no dragonshards here. Without them, entire branches of magical development are impossible, or at least simply to dangerous and difficult to do. "Fourth, you had no great war. War stimulates innovation like no other form of stimulus. Many of the advances that separate my world from this one had been made to be used in war." Umieri takes a breath then speaks further, "My world is not much different from yours. We just have a peculiar set of advantages."
