So....who wants to play some D&D?
Emeralis00 replied to Eerongal's topic in World's 17thShardest Dungeon
<y friend has confirmed he will be participating. He is a barbarian. -
Ambrosius Ambro nods. "fair enough." heh. That will have to do for now. "I told you my family's history, so you know something of what we are. What I need help with is to ensure the future of someone. My daughter. "Neither her nor her mother know who or what I am. Last I checked, the thieve's curse hadn't set in. I intend to break the curse before it appears. I won't have her life tainted by it. Now in order to remove the curse two things must happen. First, the afflicted people must die. Normally, by this point the curse wouldn't matter since everyone would be dead but the curse could still resurface on her. In order to fully remove the curse the second condition must be met. Killing the bloodline of the one who laid the curse. The first part would be fine with most people, it is the second part that causes problems." Ambro looks away, thinking for a moment. "My Problem is this. In order to remove the curse, the afflicted ones must be killed before the ones who laid the curse. Failure to do so could make the curse come back tenfold. I am one of the afflicted, that means I must die before my enemies. That is where you come in. I will kill of most of them, then you kill me and finish it." "If it ever becomes necessary, take a serpent grid, any will do but my grid is one, and go to calm beach. There will be a box made of starsteel. Insert the grid into the slot and inside you find information about my daughter. Please destroy it. You can see why I demanded those vows."

That could get awkward. Expect gore. Lots of gore. @frostbourne Have fun with that one.

Not that I am aware of. I know there are feats that can swap the types of energy but not that.
-
Its high relative to most of the other stats. I'm not judging, just asking. Normally, wisdom is one of my lower stats when I play a wizard, but it helps with the awareness skills and will save; its not like you had strength really high or anything. Good luck playing a wizard. Just remember, keep a meatsheild between you and sharp pointy objects.

Ambrosius "It depends, but let me tell you now. What I will tell you is completely and utterly to be kept close to your heart. My request is deeply linked to it. I don't know why I feel I should gain your help in this matter, but you are different from all the others that I have tested to determine if I should call for their aid. The paladin will not help. That much was made clear to me. The desert fellow is too enveloped in his own puzzles. The annoying one can't keep a secret. River, he is cold steel, but no less of a poisoned blade. You however...You might be just what I was looking for." Ambro stops. Looks around for anyone too near, then turns back to Top. "Do you swear that you will reveal to no one what you are about to hear from me? Do you swear not to use what I will tell you against me in any way?" Ambro looks Top directly in the eyes, completely serious.

Is the high wisdom strictly for backstory or is there another reason? Also, would you like me to show you the equipment table so you can finish the equipment sections?

I should be able to contact him soon. I should have a character from him before noon on Monday if he is still participating. Could you PM your email to me so I could send it to you? -
Alright. It should be back up around Summer-Fall.

Found a site where you can download sections of the 3.5e System Reference Document here. (legally)

Umieri Bast Deneith of House Deneith
Emeralis00 replied to Emeralis00's topic in World's 17thShardest Dungeon
Okay, I change my mind. I want Thor's ability. Its far more cheaper. I can spend my turning on something else. Changed domain spontaneity to extra turning. Then I will get another feat later that I want that uses those turnings. Thanks Thor! -

Ummm, do you mean replacing spells with cure or something else. -

Updated my character for the wishlist and added spoilers for easier looking through. (yeah I know that mods don't like spoiler tags, but it is easier to find the section I want without hurting my eyes.) -

I don't know what a Radiant Servant of Pelor is. Can I have a link? Eberron has rules for worshiping a pantheon (which is what I am doing) so I could easily have Sun and Healing. EDIT: I wiould only be sad about losing the good fortune effect -

I'll probably swap out Sun for Healing as i originally had it, since you can destroy undead just as effectively. -
Its not up anymore, the admin took a year off due to lack of participation. Featherwriter and I were one of the few to have actually submitted a full submission.

>.< too many posts too reply too. @Eerongal Wishlist! Yay! @Eerongal (again) One of my friends doesn't want to join. He apparently has an aversion to 3.5 for some reason. The remaining friend is the one who wanted to be a meatsheild and would reluctantly be a rogue. @Thor Yeah you can have a party of clerics, but they won't be as effective as specialist roles. @Kchan I have a lot of experience playing D&D, you can ask me if you have problems. @Comatose What Eerongal said. -
I don't think there will be much overlap considering that you spont war spells and not cures.

A standar buff healer cleric. If you are doing a combat cleric we should be fine. What domains are you using? -
Yeah, him. Most people in my class didn't like him for various reasons. He reminded me of an rpg I have called Witch Hunter, only not in a good way.

This is actually less than what I would have bought, but I had to fiddle around with the stuff because of weight issues. One would think I would be used to that because a Wizard's dump stat is usually strength, but my most recent Wizard had a strength dump stat of 15. This is my personal philosophy, learned from a D&D based star wars comic called Darths And Droids: When equipping your characters before setting out on an adventure, make sure you buy: The best weapons you can afford and that the GM will let you get away with using.* The best armour you can afford and that the GM will let you get away with using.** As many marginally useful odds and end as you can get with the few coins you have left over. * Where "best" is defined as being the ones that do the most damage. * Where "best" is defined as being the ones that prevent the most damage. You never know when some insanely specific piece of equipment that nobody would think of buying normally might come in handy for some situation where the GM is trying to prevent you from doing something that you'd really rather like to try doing. EDIT: I realized I forgot to update the domains to match what I had selected for spells. -

Thank you. There is a little more going on behind the scenes to the backstory. An Eberron adventure I did with my cousin was to go to a ruin in Xendrick and obtain a schema for an old version of warforged for House Cannith. During the exploration of the ruin, we discovered a group of humans in what appeared to be an astrology room with a big artifact in the middle. A fight ensued and resulted in me setting off the artifact when my character rolled a critical hit, yes a critical hit. The artifact promptly disappeared in a flash of energy, taking out the opposing group. Hence, the critical hit. (My Dad was the DM, and he loves the dramatic). So, this character is to explain the unintended consequence of that action. -
Who was it? The only one I can think of would be that witch hunter guy with the books, can't remember his name.
