  1. So, I found these So, I found these, which suggests that the Tai-na might not actually be bonded to Spren. In both of these, Brandon doesn’t confirm it, however. I think this suggests that they don’t, but for consistency, I can see why he’d make them bond Spren, even if they don’t need to. In the case of needing Spren and such. I’m leaning towards Honor’s perpendicularity. We’ve been told that Honor’s perpendicularity was random, which doesn’t make sense Mistborn spoilers, I’m not sure which book exactly though. Plus, we have examples of people being wrong about this. We were told that Odiums perpendicularity was lost, yet several people knew where it was, and it was responsible for the Chasmfiends source. I find it likely that Honors perpendicularity does one of two things: A. It moves, that’s consistent with some stuff in the book, and makes sense with what we know. And the Tai-na can sense where it is, and travel to it much like the chasmfiends do. There’s another WoB that states that they can go on land And so I thinks it’s possible that they could do this, and this fits. My only concern is that people would probably see the Tai-na traveling for this. B. This is what I think is likely, but has a few complications. So, basically, Honor’s perpendicularity doesn’t move, it’s somewhere remote like Odiums perpendicularity. I think this because perpendicularities don’t behave like this, and this is the only time this has happened. At least to a shard powered perpendicularity. Which leads to my second thing. Just like we have perpendicularities on Threnody acting weirdly, something similar happening on Roshar could potentially be happening, which people confuse with honors. And then the Tai-na just go to Honors actually one. So, both of these have problems. The first with that people would probably notice greatshells wandering on land to perpendicularities, it’s not really something you can miss. The second theory has problems with the book slightly lying to us, and the unexplained part of where the random perpendicularities are coming from. I personally think that the Tai-na dont have Spren bonds, but if they do, Honors perpendicularity seems likely to me
  2. I’ve never been, but I’ve been told the temple there is beautiful
  3. Yay, can’t wait, I’ll have to find another way to play
  4. Wow, that’s legitimately amazing. Welcome to shard, do you want a cookie? As for navigation, if you click on the three lines in the upper right corner, and then click Forums, it gives you a place to see where everything is categorized as.
  5. That’s fine and all, but Taln moved fast enough to create a vacuum behind him from where he was. It doesn’t matter if you can see his next moves, or know exactly what he’ll do, if you can’t react to it in time. You’ll know where to place the spike, but your hand is slower than a snail when compared to him. Atium does give an enhanced mental ability to process the information, but that doesn’t help you move faster. In the case of a slider or steel runner, the slider would have to be right next to him, and the bubble would therefore envelop them both. As for steel runners, the amount of speed needed to run faster than air is astronomical. Plus you’d have to maintain that speed for long periods of time. And that would just be to be keep up with him, you’d have to go three of four times that. The only way to get this amount of speed would be through steel compounding. But, that’s still a ridiculous amount of speed, and you actually run into the problem of whether you can carry the steel minds it would take to store that much speed
  6. Okay, so, in this case, because we have no idea which herald, we have to assume the worst, i.e. Taln, but coherent. In this case, it’s a matter of somehow getting around the supernatural reflexes. Taln has caught darts, while not even being aware of what was happening. Nale has shown that Heralds can move at supernatural speeds. Therefore, he could keep up with either a steel runner, or a slider. As for sheer power, he single-handedly took down so many fused. So going by numbers we literally cannot. A Herald using the full extent of their powers can easily escape or defeat anything we throw at them by drawing on Roshar. We literally cannot beat a Herald at full strength, we’d have to convince the herald to let us kill them. And so, since the prompt says they have a goal, that’s not likely. Which means force, something that cannot happen on Roshar without extensive casualties and investiture. Therefore, the only way I see to kill a herald, without throwing a desolations worth of force at them, is to not fight them on Roshar. Kalak was unable to escape Felt, despite still being in Roshar’s shadesmar, which suggests that their powers rely on being in the physical realm on Roshar. Much like Sel. Nale would’ve been beaten by Kaladin if he hadn’t had those powers. As such, it is possible, while finding a person able to kill Taln in a fight of pure skill would be hard, it’s a lot easier to throw bodies at him here rather than on Roshar. In other words, it’s up to how many resources our Ghostblood has access to, and if they have any people with even a fraction of Kaladin’s fighting prowess, and whether they can get them to throw themselves against Taln.
  7. Welcome
  8. Getting me wrong is completely expected, I’ve played all three games I’ve been in very differently, and so I didn’t expect anyone to be able to know who I am
  9. Can’t you tell? This entire thing is just Coder, he hacked Jo’s account, and everyone else’s, it’s all Coder. @CoderDrag0n8 were on to you now : )
  10. Plot twist: both are Coder, he got Jo to give him two accounts, to add to the chaos. Edit: Plot twist again: all the accounts are Coder
  11. I’ve only played one game with Kas
  12. I’m leaning towards either Divergent or Kas, but I’m not completely sure there.
  13. Well, that helps me know who you are
  14. Nope, I’m someone else(I changed my name, fyi, but I’m good if you still use IHAT, I’ll know you’re talking about me)
  15. But no power to make it work
  16. What, yall were also in here! I had no idea, good job
  17. Saitaku, Mistkeep, Harmony’s Flower. Saitaku stepped into his room. He’d managed to get it at a cheap price after only a bit of threatening, so it suited his needs for now. He’d been collecting, he’d found himself some more spikes, all ready to infuse a hemalurgic charge into. But the rest of the room was filled with objects that might be useful later, including a small map of this place. Apparently this place was called “the alleyways” it was a fitting name, especially considering how Saitaku has gotten here. All the worlds of the comers had access here, so Saitaku would have to watch out for any Ghostbloods. I think I know enough to not get myself killed, and I probably should look at the other districts.
  18. I’m not dead, promise

  19. Saitaku, Mistkeep, 12600 Unnamed Street Shortly after shadowing the gentleman, signs came into view, some stretching into the street, some draped accords multiple buildings. Saitaku could hear the gentleman sniffing in disgust as they came into view. The signs themselves seemed normal, each one advertising one thing or another: rooms, laundry cleaning. But the gentleman in front found something wrong. Saitaku frowned, What’s going on here? This is all normal, what is this place? I need some answers. Lucky, a particular sign caught his eye, “Harmony’s Flower: rooms and bar” and he stopped shadowing the gentleman to go inside
  20. Uhhh, idk when era 8 was, but my character exists sometime after BoM… so I don’t know how that relates to everyone else with the time shenanigans
  21. Happy New Years!!!

I know I’m like the second to last time zone for this. But still, it applies to me, plus Hawaii has to wait another hour.

  22. Saitaku, Mistkeep, unnamed street Saitaku pulled his brown cloak towards him, stepping into the street, Hopefully no one noticed that He wasn’t a fool enough to chase the kid back into the Alleyways, the spike wouldn’t be worth the effort, plus, he’d be navigating by luck. Glancing around, he tried to shadow a nearby gentleman, not close enough to cause alarm for the gentleman, but close enough for everyone to assume a relation. What… what is this place? Whatever, wherever, I have to move, quickly.
