Ah, you didn’t have to do this… Nathaniel runs through the hallways, almost hitting Jamie in his haste. Quickly turning to hit the wall instead of Jamie, Nathaniel grunts, before muttering and apology
-
I just realized that the RP in this has to take place before the sabatoge. I’ll try and fix my earlier one with this: Nathaniel stopped, confused.. what was happening again? He stopped filling his zinc mind, and he was filled with clarity. The red dot, something was moving in the engine room. Yet the inspections had happened a few days ago, the engines were locked… Nathaniel considered filling zinc more in case his small amount wasn’t enough. Mental speed wasn’t an attribute easy to store. He decided against it, if he couldn’t think quickly enough to keep what was happening in his mind, he might not know what he needed to do. And while he might need zinc later, he still needed to think now. Nathaniel continued running towards the engine room, before quickly turning back around. he’d just remembered he needed the keys, ones only a few select people had
-
Nathaniel stared at the red light flashing on the screen, what? He thought, Those engines were checked last week!! He ran towards the engine room, filling his zinc-mind as he went, he’d need all thoughts if he was to figure how to fix this. He shot down the metal corridors, only able to think just enough to remember the map of the ship. @The Unknown Ookla, I believe I’ve seen you be The Unknown Misting, so: The Unknown Ferring

MR75: Epilogue: Nightclub at the End of the World

Thank you, it was really nice to know I had yall fooled for most of the game, I didn’t expect to fool the dead doc. I didn’t expect to really fool anyone, this was only my second game after all. this was really fun with yall, when the anniversary game signups come, yall should tag me if I don’t see it, I can’t wait to do this some more. Also, the Dive Captain America one was pretty great -
I hadn’t thought of that. The only thing I can think of is perception, that because he didn’t think he had the powers of the bands of mourning, he subconsciously chose to not see those specific lines. One can flare metals, I don’t see why a person couldn’t do the opposite, make their power weaker in return for a longer burn time. However, this is probably stretching things, since as far as I know, perception hasn’t influenced Allomancy in this way before. So idk

MR75: Epilogue: Nightclub at the End of the World

Hey, you did good. There were some sketchy moments, but you helped us hammer doc and such. Also, I really didn’t do a good job of the thread control -
You are right. It is rather baseless, however, I find that Wax somehow changed something within the harmonium-trellium explosion that made lerasium that he then inhaled and burned. That only he inhaled and no one else. That also created lerasium. That no one’s was able to recreate. Is a lot less likely than Harmony exercising a power he’s been shown to have. As for Brandon lying, it’s more Harmony lying and everyone else not knowing better. Main characters can be and are frequently wrong. They make wrong assumptions and have wrong information. I don’t consider that lying on the part of the Author. To me it would be weird if Wax suddenly knew about Nicrosil ferruchemy and how it works and what he did and everything like that. There is no reason any of them would know this information.

I can’t wait to check out the dead doc. This was really fun yall, no hard feelings for killing everyone Edit: just finished reading the dead doc, I’d announce my presence there, but the link Drake has is view only. Also, thanks yall for the confidence, I did not expect this game to go this well for me -
Harmony was able to make Spook a Mistborn, he can make Wayne one as well.

So, I first need to premise with some WoB So. We know that in Book 7, Wax had the Bands of Mourning, and he took the abilities of a Mistborn and a Full feruchemist out, as he demonstrates using different metals. Now, later, when Wax threw the bands of mourning out of the airship. There was no mention of him returning the investiture, meaning he was still a fullborn during that encounter, albeit without metalminds for most of the metals. later, when wax finally takes off the bands of mourning for good, it is never said that he returned the investiture, meaning he would’ve been a full-strength fullborn from that moment on. also, this works just like memories with copperminds, if I take a memory out of a coppermind, I don’t lose access to that memory if I chuck the coppermind out a window. This also happens to explain some crucial plot holes. For one, why are the bands drained? Wax never put the investiture back, so the bands don’t preform their key function, allowing one to store and retrieve unkeyed investiture. A water bottle is kinda useless if it’s empty. it also explains why Wax got lerasium from the explosion. The justification for him burning pewter after the explosion is basically, “during the original experiment with trellium and harmonium, it created lerasium and wax then inhaled it and burned it.” I find that incredibly stupid. For one, if wax inhaled lerasium, so would’ve everyone else, meaning Wayne, Marasi, and Steris would also already be mistborn. Second, why would he burn it? If a metal composition is off, it can make the allomancer very sick, and is potentially fatal. And yet, when a new reserve appears out of nowhere, Wax burns it. Am I the only person who finds that weird? now, if Wax was a fullborn from the moment he used the bands of mourning, this would just be Harmony trying to make him not realize it. The best way to keep the bands of mourning from being used is to make the person who has the power, not know they have it. As for why Wax never put the investiture back, I doubt he knew, information about nicrosil ferrings is very scarce, and wax was accustomed to iron feruchemy. Edit: I just realized I never put my point in here. Basically, I think it’s possible that this is what happened, what are yalls thoughts/what implications does this have on future eras of mistborn?

Okay, so I was writing a reply to this about how the person who did this would probably have gotten older(relative to everyone else) doing this, and people might notice that. But then I had an idea: Pulser Models. It’s the ultimate way to ensure you maintain your looks. Instead of using hair products and and makeup and everything else(though they probably will use that) Scadrians can ensure every second of your model life is useful, and as soon as you don’t look amazing , they through you out, they don’t need consistent perfection, they can do temporary, effectively freezing the look and using it later… not sure where the horror story is in this. But I suppose you could have one about someone missing life because literally every hour of their 20s was spent either in a pulser bubble or a photoshoot, and so some moral about living life. On the subject of time manipulation. Bendalloy mistings are so amazing in an office environment. Assuming you can provide enough bendalloy, they’re automatically faster at completing any task(other than customer service) even if they’re twice as lazy. The cost in money would be high, but getting hours of work done in seconds, it better be. This kinda got off topic, so, coppermind horror story: A person is obsessed with learning it all. Inspired by the keepers of old, memorizing treasure troves of information, information in all subjects, covering all of human knowledge. this person goes to the biggest universities, studies books, and as soon as it’s memorized, shoves it into their coppermind. and then its a normal day for them, memorizing a transcript of meeting between the Malwish empower and the governor of Elendel. The person finishes, tired, shoving the memories into a coppermind, only to put all their memories into it. they collapse, their head empty of memories… they don’t know there a copper ferring, they don’t know anything, they don’t know anything about themselves or any they’re past. they spent their life studying the world, only to lose it.

Do we know why/what happened? Also, it’s probably just Christmas, so he’ll probably be back in a day or two, but I don’t know that for sure

My sister suggested Kelsier’s Toenails as a drink, a particularly bad one

At that point, you might as well throw a party for the elims

The Scadrial equivalent of Horneater Lager

The Mistwraith Rave. Yes, there’s a person getting eaten over there, but don’t worry, they’re already dead, so just go with it.

Basically, I want to talk about how allomancy would influence the scary stories people tell each other. Basically allomantic horror stories. I’ve come up with two so far: basically, a story about a sentry ferring filling a bronze mind, thats bigger than they think it is, and falling asleep and dying from dehydration. Basically, filling a bronze mind that happens to be a statue or something, and then not being able to stop as time is weird when you’re sleeping. the second is basically the idea of threatening people with being a lurcher. I was talking with @Honors Ghost and @Shatter about how easy it is to die as a lurcher. So I can see someone telling someone they’d die as a Lurcher as an insult of either they’re ability or common sense. Got any more?
-
Very true, access to god-metals might also let them have access to even better armor than we do. Whatever happens, I want to hear about parents scaring they’re children into staying in bed not as to not be a lurcher and pull metal into themselves or something.

So basically, lurchers are nice, it’s just that not dying when using their powers is hard.

Plus the reaction time. Assuming the slider had enough bendalloy, they could monitor the entire battle, and pull everything at the right time. The precision timing would be amazing.

Kaladin’s a mix of both, but you are right, the reverse lashings are really good. however, if a lurcher tried to do that, they’d get impaled, the ability to make the thing that’s pulling things toward it something other than yourself is amazing. Also, you just made me imagine a lurcher pulling on armor Iron Man style. Thank you, the idea of an era 3 lurcher pulling body armor onto themselves is great
