  1. [Day 3-A] Gor Elam heard that the Deku Queen had been abducted and taken to Woodfall Temple, and they had taken her to awaken some kind of ancient monstrosity. They had been looking for volunteers to join the mission to rescue her. Those who didn't volunteer didn't necessarily have an easier task either, since they were tasked to protect those who remained. He was far from being a fighter, but he knew he wanted to take part in this mission. He couldn't bear to avert his eyes to the plight they were experiencing, especially that the Deku have so kindly allowed them to stay in their palace after the catastrophe that had happened in Clock Town. So, Gor Elam decided to see if there was an armory and look for a suitable weapon he could use. When he found an armory, he decided to take a bow. It was unGoron-like of him, since his race usually preferred to wield two-handed thick weapons, but he never had much affinity for them. He would rather use the bow and support the team from the rear. Perhaps he could help with carrying supplies and making sure everything they needed was on hand.
  2. Had a bunch of new thoughts, but it'll have to wait until the start of the next loop Still have 5 RP posts to make, but my free time's getting swallowed by a bunch of new stuff that released this week lol
  3. You mentioned it earlier here: Unless I'm mistaken about the mechanics, if you're operating under the assumption that the elims are trying to win the loop, then Wahr has to be village from your perspective because for this first loop, only 1 elim needs to die for the village to win. Hmm fair, I guess with more active players though, that allows for some cover on who actually has said mask like let's say there's 5 players who are alive at that point who have potentially accrued the 100 rupees, then it'd make it more difficult for them to identify who has it. But yeah, we can never really guarantee that the person who gets it is village. However, I think it is valuable enough, especially with investigating someone who we feel is difficult to read their alignment
  4. I think the reason you mentioned for wanting to exe active players is fine, but a counterpoint to that is, it will reduce the number of players that could actually be able to reach the rupees needed for the Mask of Truth, especially that not everyone is earning 10 per cycle If we had to vote for someone on the Wahr wagon, I would vote for you/TJ, as I have explained in my previous post. I was thinking it over earlier and I thought, why does there have to be an elim in that wagon? You mentioned earlier that you're operating under the assumption that Wahr is village. But if we work from that perspective, there doesn't necessarily have to be an elim there. Especially if you would assume Archer is also village, then the elims could just stay out of the way and let the village go after each other. It'd also be important to note that only 7 voted off-wagon while 4 didn't vote at all, so it could be that they're trying to move away from the spotlight What was the difference in behavior? I don't believe he mentioned everyone in his reads, so what did you think of the other people who weren't there And I can't really defend a vote that's based on vibes, but I also think that I'm very findable as village, so if you had any questions to ask me, that could help you find me (if you're village also), then I would appreciate it
  5. I've reread D2 and I found a number of behavior to be suspicious upon a reread - On Wahr, going back, I don't find him as suspicious on an individual level. I think Archer put it well, that his behavior makes sense from a player focused on personal success and it more looked like he was a villager trying to do anything to ensure that he would live. I still maintain the associative with Archer though, in that if Wahr is elim, then Archer is elim too, especially with the odd attempt to self-pres on Mistfallen rather than on Archer - On Ash, I am finding it suspicious that Ash seemed to know more than their activity suggests. Unlike the other people with lower activity, Ash came up with a rather detailed answer to Wonko's question of "at what point in time did the elims make the choice to skip the NK?" and also had the awareness that ties are broken on lowest Rupees (which some of the more active players like Doc weren't aware of). It seemed like Ash had that information from an outside source, like the elim doc. Also, Ash had this explanation reasoning out how many villagers the elims needs to kill, which prompted Aman to clarify that elims cannot win if every kill is blocked or withheld. If Ash is elim, that could explain the lack of an N1 kill, where they mistakenly assumed that they didn't need to kill anyone to win the loop. - On Coder, I'm flip-flopping on whether the self-awareness that he might be repeating what has already been said is suspicious. I wasn't a fan of the unvote though and it seemed like he's been avoiding taking any position on people, so I'd like to hear more on that - On Hael, I wasn't a fan either of his close-to-rollover content where it was more general mechanical discussion and he didn't really have any comment on what he thought about the other players. It came across as CWAC (contributing without actually contributing) and I believe he hasn't given any reads until now - On TJ, I found it iffy how his reads that day were just anchored on agreeing/disagreeing with Archer's reads and it came across as oddly convenient that his vote ended up on the leading wagon. I'd like to see more independent reads that are more explained - On Araris, I found it also iffy that his vote was on Wahr because of a misunderstanding (that he thought Wahr was shading him when he actually was describing Archer's unexplained vote hopping). And then when that was cleared up, he was satisfied to just park his vote there for the rest of the day. - On Doc, I'm just slightly concerned about being pocketed here, mostly because reading his readslist, I'm uncertain if it really matches the strength of his village read on me (as he mentions me first on being hesitant to exe) - On Hoid, I'm not into the posting where he's not really trying to progress the game. But oddly enough, I'm feeling like he's village because I think that e!Hoid, even with inactivity, is far more competitive that he wouldn't be able to resist trying to influence things - On TUO, adding to the potential third wagon in Mistfallen on D2 was a little suspicious. The world where he's elim mostly works if he's tied to Wahr and Archer, where they tried to throw stuff to save both of them. Other than that, I'm feeling more neutral on him and I need more thoughts (outside of saying where he is in terms of catching up) At the moment, I'm inclined to vote Haelbarde. There's been a lot of focus on the mechanical solving from several players, but most of them have been also trying to offer their thoughts on other players' behaviors. Initially, I had a village lean on him for his suggestion of being cautious about telling anyone what they're doing with their rupees, but it has been a continued trend that his contributions lie more on generalistic suggestions and it is something an elim could offer without really showing where they stand Yup!! I post on phone and read content on an IPad. Don't currently have the funds to get a laptop to replace the previous one that I had (which can no longer be charged), so it's a bit of a struggle lol (especially that I sometimes to have to refresh the page if a button or two isn't working, or if a post gets eaten before I can post it)
  6. Fair point. Although, I do think Ash could have actually hit the target this loop. I haven't been tracking post counts, but I feel like Ash was actually hitting the target on the RP side, it was just the analysis side of the rupee accumulation that he didn't hit, so I'm uncertain if that was really the intention So real, I'd be so much more powerful if I wasn't like beefing with the text editor half the time Anyways, I finally have the time to review the previous day. I think I'm going to try leaning more into the social side of solving because I feel like I'm struggling a bit with the mechanical side due to the flipless nature of the game and how we're really going to be working mostly with assumptions and theoreticals until we get some more real information once the next loop comes around
  7. Agreed that I think it's more likely that Ashbringer is village. I don't think I would clear Wahr prematurely though before we find out the outcome of the loop since I could see how Ash would be a good kill regardless of Wahr's alignment (if v!, it is as you mentioned that Ash wouldn't be a high impact clear if we lose the loop; if w!, it muddles the pool and makes it more difficult to discern who among the eliminated resulted in the loop's win). Mmm I haven't really reread D2, so that's why I didn't want to make any premature claims before having done that (outside of my thinking that it is unlikely for it to be someone on his wagon) On the second point, valid, something I experienced when playing the AG was how cumbersome it is to quote posts, so unless I find that I'm unsatisfied with the answer and have additional insight to share or follow up questions, then I wouldn't quote respond to it anymore (most likely I either agree with it or I'm keeping a mental note on it for later)
  8. Gor Elam was pulled away from his thoughts when he felt someone nudge him. He turned and it was the guard, who had returned from the kitchen and had brought him the food he had promised. "I'm Gor Elam from the Goron Village in the Snowhead region," he beamed. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Marton. I had been traveling on my own since leaving my village and somehow made it out here after getting hit by debris during the commotion over in Clock Town. It would be nice if I could meet the person who saved me and brought me here."
  9. As he waited for the man to return with the rations, Gor Elam couldn't help but think about home. It hadn't even been that long since he left the Goron Village, but he missed it already. How was his family doing? Were they still surviving despite the freezing cold that harassed them day and night? Were they still able to have enough food to eat? He felt worried about how they were doing. They were a resilient bunch, the Goron, but no race was ever invincible to the cruel whims of nature. His thoughts drifted to what had happened in Clock Town. How did a day celebrating the Hero of Time start so vibrant and festive and then later turn to havoc and chaos? Was this a premeditated attack by a surviving enemy of the Hero? He wondered whether the incident during the Hero's Carnival had any connection to the shift in the climate in his village. That made him feel a little anxious. Maybe the problems weren't over and were they to follow them here in the Deku Palace, he needed to prepare himself for the worst. But first, he needed to fill his stomach.
  10. Hoid's activity does feel reminiscent of QF77, where he was also stating that he was busy, but couldn't keep himself out from the thread and trying to do things. But yeah, as you've said, it isn't necessarily indicative of alignment, and I'm uncertain what would be the difference between an inactive elim Hoid and an inactive villager Hoid. It's something I'm thinking of looking into the next day. Also, on the analysis thing, that's why I only occasionally do full reads lists haha. They're very time-consuming to make, especially when I try to take a note of everything. Sometimes, I prefer to just focus on more remarkable content as a shortcut. It would be a lot easier though if there was a way to isolate posts in the thread instead of like going to a person's profile and sifting through posts that could be mixed with activity in other areas of the forum
  11. Gor Elam breathed a sigh of relief when the guard's expression changed from one with hostility to one with understanding. He didn't know what he would have done if it hadn't come to a peaceful resolution. He had never been a fighter before and though he had journeyed a long way from the Snowhead region, of which he had encountered different types of monsters along the way, he had mostly overcome those obstacles by being more strategic with his route and only getting into a fight if he knew he could handle the amount of monsters he were to face. He knew that if he tried to run away, this person would have pursued him relentlessly, and Goron weren't exactly known for having the swiftest of speeds. "Our diets tend to comprise more of minerals. Perhaps, we could be called mineralarians? But, I'm well-aware other races do not share the same tastes for ores and rocks as we, Goron, do," he answered the guard. "I am open to any food you may have available. Thank you for your kindness." He shared a smile with the man who soon went into the kitchen to fetch a ration for him. He found that it was a good idea for these guards to hand out rations themselves rather than have a bunch of people coming and going in the kitchens, and potentially cause a mess, especially when so many of them were not only hungry, but also exhausted and antsy.
  12. As Gor Elam approached the kitchens, he noticed that there were guards stationed at the entrance. Was there concern for an outside threat? But why then would they be gathered around the kitchen instead of somewhere else, like the armory or the Royal Chamber? He felt hesitant to continue his approach, especially when he noticed one of the guards at a stance preparing to draw their sword. He was hungry, yes, but was it really worth the risk of getting cut down? He wanted to think more before he committed to a decision, one way or the other, to try to find food in the kitchens or go elsewhere. But he was hardly afforded that time as he observed the guards, especially the one who looked to be some sort of master, increasingly becoming wary of his intentions. And so, he made a split decision to put his hands up and show that he didn't have any hostile intentions for finding his way here. "I only came here to see if I could eat some food," he said, trying to look as non-threatening as he could. He had heard from others before that he sometimes came across as intimidating in the way that his expression could be stiff. "Would it be possible to have some food to eat here?" @Ashbringer
  13. Gor Elam observed his surroundings. It appeared that he had been sleeping in a room akin to a dormitory. It was a long room and several beds made of woven grass filled it. People's belongings were situated beside the bed, but he was alone in the room. Perhaps some time had passed between his passing out and his waking. He heard a growling noise from his stomach. It had been a while since he had last eaten. If he was going to recover fully, he needed to find food, but where? Just then, the scent of roasted nuts drifted from somewhere. He was a bit hesitant leaving this room and finding out where this scent was coming from, but he was too hungry to be shy at the moment. So, he left the dormitory and followed the scent. Hallway to hallway, room to room, he let his senses lead the way. Although he was barely processing things in his head, he had started to get the idea that he was in a Deku settlement, seeing that there were several staff of their kind moving about, busy with their work. This must be the Deku Palace, he thought, when he saw vegetable plots lined on both sides of the long corridor. He remembered learning about how the Deku liked to grow their food inside the palace walls. As he continued walking, he soon found himself outside the kitchens. Even from the outside, he could hear many hands at work, making food and the fragrant aroma of tasty food became more intense the closer he had gotten. Yes!! I was thinking the same. I thought it would be productive if we considered people who aren't potentially on a team with Wahr for the next execution to maximize the chances we have of winning this loop. I still think there is a pairing with Archer there, so that's something I wouldn't like to pursue tomorrow. I am uncertain of who isn't paired with him, but I guess people who voted for him have decent odds of not being on a team with him, so it would perhaps be better to vote someone else who's off wagon. Wait, I thought it was only me who had this thought too haha. It took me a lot longer trying to write RP compared to just sharing my thoughts on the game, and I also do some research too, even though the wiki isn't very detailed on describing locations and characteristics of the different races. If I'm understanding correctly, we evacuated away from Clock Town and now we reached the Deku Palace in the southern area of Termina
  14. Gor Elam woke up. He felt a dull pressure on his head. It was subtle at first and he felt disoriented as he tried to make sense of what was what. The pressure didn't subside and it continued to persist into a more heavy sensation. He brushed over his hair and felt what seemed like a large bandage wrapped all over his head. Then the recollection before he had woken came. He was running across the town, trying to get to safety when a large piece of debris from a collapsing building hit him smack on the head and he lost consciousness immediately. His head was aching still, but he was starting to realize that someone must have rescued him and took care of him. But it seemed that he was brought somewhere else, away from Clock Town. "Where is this place?" he asked.
  15. I have like, 5 RP posts to make, so I guess, that's something I'll work on tonight
  16. Are you going for a TWTBAW strategy? What do you think about Wahr not self-pressing on you if he was focused on personal success? I'm open to Hoid being a wagon, but for next cycle. I had marked him as one of the lower activity players, but noticed earlier that he actually is one of the top posters on this thread, so that feels somewhat off to me because I hardly remember if there was any post that was game advancing
  17. Is that because Hael and I are both Goron? /jk What are you expecting to see if it ends up being a tie? And were you aware that a tie is determined by lowest rupee count? I wanted to hear more from Wahr before deciding on my vote, but he never returned to respond to my questions (probably fell asleep). Something I've been thinking though is the possibility of Wahr and Archer being paired together. Their interactions feel oddly a little performative. Wahr and Archer voted each other at the start of the day, and then immediately backed off after a single post. And then later on, Wahr shades Archer's vote hopping and then gives him a prompt to respond to that suspicion (which was different to how he approached the Ashbringer vote). Later on, he cites that he doesn't want to be voted out, but then he doesn't self-pres at all on the leading wagon, Archer, and instead starts a new wagon. And as I mentioned earlier, he seemed to think one of Wonko/Archer is evil, but instead he goes off in a different direction and also tries to shade people who wanted to consider other options. However, if they weren't paired, I think it's more likely that Wahr is the elim between both of them. Wonko Wahrheitswächter
  18. Hi Stick! Thank you! I think at the moment, here's where I'm at People I'm town leaning - Araris, Coco, Mistfallen, Hael, Archer, Burnt People I'm okay with voting today - Wonko, Wahr, Coder, Doc People with low activity (would prefer to vote on Loop 2+ unless they become more active) - Ashbringer, TJ, Hoid, Honor/Stick, TUO I am a little concerned with Archer jumping from vote to vote. It's not suspicious in itself, but it does feel reminiscent of how he was jumping votes in D1 of the previous game as an elim. That being said, the difference here is that he's the leading wagon instead of a teammate. As someone who was a player in that game, do you think it's a cause for suspicion? Curious!! You mention that you are suspicious of people that have been moving the discussion away from those two, but it seems like you've been doing something similar. You did vote Archer initially, but that was more of a reactionary vote, and then you were the second person to vote elsewhere instead of either Wonko/Archer. And now you move off to Mistfallen. Could you make me through why you're not voting for either Wonko/Archer if you believe one is an elim? And I'm feeling a little iffy of how you mentioned not being very convinced of his response to your suspicion, but that it wasn't enough for you to place your vote back. Then you go and vote Mistfallen partly for not being very concerned with Archer.
  19. Help, I thought you were referring to you mimicking TUM's strategy on the previous one and I was like, from what I remember when I was reading D1 of that last game loosely, you weren't like that at all?? But yeah, dw, you are a village lean for me currently and I'm not thinking of pushing you unless I find that you're acting suspicious (which I feel that hasn't been the case yet, but of course, y'know paranoia) I would like an answer to this if you have one though. I feel like e!TUM would have actually posted an inconsequential one-liner or two on N1 or D2 instead of going radio silent, which would fit more what you mentioned about him staying back / under the radar
  20. I agree with the idea of not executing lower activity players until like loop 2. It would be better if they could give us more this loop for us to have a better pool of content to glean their alignment. And I think it wouldn't be as productive for them to be executed this loop regardless of the result. If we win the loop, it can be even more difficult to distinguish which and how many of those players are the reason why we ended up winning the loop, and they'd be even more careful of their posting, given that there's a result that is being held over them. If we lose the loop and they end up being confirmed, it's not going to be as impactful, especially if there's a chance that their inactivity would continue, since there's a possibility they might not be able to make the most out of their confirmed village status. So it's best for us to prioritize players with middling to high activity here, that we feel are suspicious. And also wow, I'm not Australian, but I'm Filipino, so it's nice ig to have someone around who's also on a similar timezone and I can relate on needing more time to wake up before actually starting to post (I usually need to eat something too before I can put my thinking cap on haha). I notice in your vote count that you haven't voted yet and you mention that you're also having the similar issue of getting mostly village and neutral reads from everyone. Given this, what would be the pool of players that you would be okay or willing to vote for today? Can you elaborate more on how you tried it?
  21. On TUM, was he intentionally inactive in that game as a strategy? I feel like his posting has been more similar to QF77 in vibes. That said, I just checked and the last post he made was on D1, so I'd really like for him to pitch in more, so I can have a better read on his alignment I'd hesitate to give Mistfallen a clear based on a derp clear. He's very much capable of faking a derp clear from my experience playing with him in MR75. That said, I do think his solving comes across as genuine, so he has a light village lean for me, but I guess I'm just a little more paranoid now to really be trusting of him when I'm well aware how good he can be at faking solving the game
  22. You received the maximum? I did only take a glance at the top posters area in that thread and saw you made 9 posts, so I guess depending on the volume of the content, a single post actually could be counted as more than one post? There were two possible angles I saw for it. One was that it was a perspective slip, where it unconsciously slipped out that you were thinking from the perspective of an elim. That said, you raise a fair point on that, which makes me think it's unlikely that that was the case. The other angle I had thought of was that it could be that you were setting up the narrative that we should be suspicious of the people who get night killed, and as I mentioned earlier, it was more of it being a timing thing, where it was a little too early (even before a kill happened) for it to have been introduced. That said, I was rereading your posts and I saw one line in particular. "It's [Postman's Hat] most usable disseminating critical information without revealing it to the whole thread." I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to put this in practice like what information should be shared specifically and how people would come to a decision on who to send said information to.
  23. I fully agree with this. I feel like focusing only on the both of them for this cycle would not be very productive, and it also lets other elims (or all the elims if both are v) slip under the radar. I'm coming around to the idea that Honor is elim. You mentioned that elim's previous experience of being elim was in the AG and part of the reason for her being voted out was for having a higher post volume, but that a decent amount of those posts were filler posts or CWAC (contributing without actually contributing via posting vote counts). So, I could see the angle where she's course correcting from that game and having a difficulty entering into the game in a natural way. It pinged me when I saw that she made after the night was locked, making me think that she really has been following the thread, but simply choosing not to post at all.
  24. On the change in rupee accumulation, I think people would have known, probably not everyone, but at least those who were keeping up with Aman's answers to questions would have seen it. Also, we did receive payouts when the night started, so I was also able to observe the change taking into effect. On your post count, I do wonder if it is actually counted more leniently (like any post, even Honor's and TJ's stating that they will be catching up is counted) or more strictly (that there needs to be a considerable amount of analysis). But if we go by the idea that your numbers are correct, I do feel it more likely that the elims were not pushing for maximum rupee accumulation with how several of these players did not reach the maximum amount of acquisition in the cycle. It does conflict with the idea that the NK was skipped, but it's also quite possible that the elims were struggling to produce meaningful content and simply decided to skip an NK after seeing the idea raised in thread.
  25. There is also the slim possibility that the player with the Bremen Mask successfully blocked the kill too, though I sort of doubt it I still stand by my claim. I don't disagree that publicized information benefits the village, but my issue with it was the timing of when you shared it. During D1, there were a sufficient number of players who were either too busy to read up on the mechanics or were still wrapping their heads around it, so there were good odds that the elim team could be fully comprised of these people. And it could have been likely that the person they kill on N1 would be village-aligned since 48 hours is a tight time that they may not have been able to come up with more complex strategies. You saying said information allowed the elims' strategy to progress more quickly. I feel that it also did limit information we could have gained if they had committed a night kill such as possible motivations to their choice of kill and a chance for an elim to be outed either via the use of the Bremen Mask or the activation of the Don Gero mask. But anyways, it already happened, so best we can do is try to pivot and come up with different strategies to counter what they know by now. Wonko This is where my vote will go for now, but I'd like to hear other thoughts you have on strategies we could take or reads on people (aside from the suspicion on Archer)
