  1. Hey you changed your pronouns completely! That's cool
  2. "Have a nice fall!" they called. "I have no idea what you're talking about!" Ink said cheerfully, trying to get a tube from the orange juice pool to the bottomless pit in an unstoppable-force-vs-immovable object fashion.
  3. Cayansa, The Sphere, Ruthar Street "Yes, let's go," Kai agreed, before summoning Skye as a Shardblade. He glanced around, said "Oh storm the damage, a little more won't hurt," and began cutting down signs and doors. Cayansa had to try to suppress a laugh, although that was likely part panic on top of the absurdity of the situation. Kai's intentions quickly became clear as he lashed the pieces into a box. "Cayansa, have you traveled by lashing before? Hop in. I'll seal it behind you, and bring us to the crater." He chucked a handful of infused spheres into the now-luminous box; a reasonable amount of Light in them. "See what you can do to make some sort of useful fabrial. Maybe your mistspren friend can help make a healing one, but if not at least we can take away some of the pain." "Kai wait!" Skye called, reappearing and turning to Cayansa. "Are you okay with this type of travel? Do you want me to stay in there with you?" "I'll be alright," Cayansa said, "Probably. Don't worry about me." They climbed into the box, hoping it wouldn't capsize underneath them. "I think Reyx is still at the sight of the explosion, but I might be able to make a healing fabrial anyway; they don't require a mistspren usually." Crouching, Cayansa started examining the fabrials and gems. Two painrials, both to reduce pain, and a damaged heatrial augmenter. If they took the base of the heatrial, and they had... yes, there was a heliodor, and a topaz, both with a little Light. They stripped out the gems it used to hold, changing in the infused ones. This was familiar, this was understandable. There was so much no one understood about fabrials, true, but they'd seen these ones built and taken apart what seemed like more times than they'd seen the three moons rise. Having made something that might resemble a healing fabrial - not that they could test without someone being injured - they turned to the painrials, swapping out the gems for ones with more Light. There wasn't anything else they could do for now with so little metal, so they gathered up the remaining spheres in a pouch and left them by the side for Kai to use. The flying box was remarkable; it was much quicker to assemble than a large floating platform. Storming marvellous as that had been, it took a veritable army of Radiants to operate, yet one of these could carry several people per Windrunner. Cayansa couldn't help but grin. Despite the strangeness of this new place, it was still full of miracles.
  4. "I wouldn't be surprised if he Soulcast one for dramatic effect." Raising his voice, Ink shouts, "Do you need a bandage?" after Coder.
  5. Not yet got calculus; probably will soon. Am I confused? Yes. Absolutely.
  6. I have a conlang but it's not very detailed. I have basic grammar and some key words but no script yet. It's called Abrekajed.
  7. "Oh. Will you be alright?" Ink called after him.
  8. Cayansa, The Sphere, Ruthar Street The platespren swirled, seeming... amused? Well, at least they weren't annoyed with Cayansa. Moments later, Skye reappeared, shouting "Storms! It vaporised a giant crater in New Halladren. I'd say about 40-60 metres across. Damnation below and Stormfather above, Kai, it's bad. Like nothing I've seen before." Fourty to sixty metres?! Cayansa thought. That's... in one blast? What weapons were they using? And, more unsettlingly, why were they fighting? "Storms. Did you see any injured?" Kai asked. No Radiants had stepped forwards, but they were in the Rosharan district. Someone must have fabrials. ...If this is the Rosharan district, what are the others? New Halladren wasn't a name they recognised, nor were most of the people. "Kai ... there will be some. That's just how this is. It will be good for someone to step in and help." "I'll see what I can do." Kai vanished into the crowd. Reyx still hadn't returned. Were they lost? Were they waiting? They're a spren. You can't hurt - wait, yes you can. A jolt of panic ran through them. They would just have to trust Reyx to stay safe. "Cayansa!" Kai called, appearing again with three fabrials and several infused gems. Two painrails, both in good condition, and an enhancement fabrial with a broken gemstone cage and wires, probably as a result of being nearly crushed but not irreparable. "Do you have much experience with fabrials?" Kai asked, and the windspren dissipated back into the air, swooping around. He offered them the pile. "Yes, a lot," Cayansa said, picking them up. One of the painrails was already infused, but not very much, and the other was empty - likely by whoever gave it to Kai wanting to keep their spheres. "I'm an artifabrian in training, or I was. I can use these." Gemstones, wires, and Light. They knew these; perhaps understood them better than their own skin. This, at least, was familiar, even if absolutely nothing else about this place was. They could do this. Maybe. They had to try to help. Maybe they actually could. "Let's go quickly; we might be able to do more if we get there sooner."
  9. The heron, being a polite heron, gives you the Sandwich.
  10. "Would you like a parachute?" Ink calls after him.
  11. Cayansa, The Sphere, Ruthar Street "Storms!" Kai yelled, and Shardplate formed around him, a shield in front of Cayansa. He shouted instructions to Skye, who zipped off towards the source of the noise. I'm going to follow her, Reyx said, voice feeling far louder in Cayansa's head than usual compared to the deafness in their ears. The mistspren dissolved into a shower of light, almost confetti-like but far less fragile. Wait! Cayansa shouted, How will you find your way back? Reyx was already too far to hear. "Here, take this," Kai said, and the Shardplate vanished from around him and formed around Cayansa instead, dozens of shimmering windspren swirling in excitement. Shardplate? How many Ideals had he sworn? Kai was shouting, asking for Radiants with Regrowth, or healing fabrials. Truthwatchers could use Regrowth, they knew that, but they weren't a Truthwatcher, just a noncombatant with a strange spren. They should've brought a healing fabrial, not half a broken spanreed. They should be doing something! Cayansa span around, looking for any spren, any sign of a third Radiant, but underestimated the strength of the plate and spun into the wall. Oof. Sorry! they thought to the windspren. At least that might've attracted attention to Kai's yells.
  12. "Thank you very much!" Ink yells, putting them on. They consider the last statement. "Well, no..." "...for exactly that reason. Plus, you're talking to us. That in itself implies some degree of lacking sense, if you can interpret our incoherence."
  13. Welcome to the Shard! If you were an Epic, what would you want your power to be? What's your favourite twinborn (misting + ferring) combination?
