Quick Fix 76: Judgement on the Shores of the Purelake
Askthepizzagal replied to Aeoryi's topic in Sanderson Elimination
You hear a voice in your mind, suddenly; ethereal, raspy, the sound of pain and despair and doom, yet well-spoken. Discussion would be lovely. Mostly I see baseless accusations. I haven't heard from Var or Booknewt yet, but I believe Javert and Aeternum are keepers of the justice you seek. Their minds are open, even to me. Don't talk to Kaladfin without Greebas' permission, they'll start asking too many questions. -

Greebas turned back. No worries, Mehlar- Polly, it was. Right. Greebas will keep your secrets well enough. Greebas touched the side of his nose, nodded, and swiftly hobbled a few feet toward the edge of the lake. They say dead men tell no secrets. Not true in your case, you never stop telling secrets. How do you know their names anyway? I can read their minds. Well why didn't you know they were Polly? And if that were true you could just tell me who the criminals are. Deeper secrets take time. Not much of a secret if their life is one of criminal enterprise, lying, cheating, stealing, murder. They put up walls and lie to themselves about who they are, lies take time to unravel. Well you put your mind to that and stop bothering Greebas. -

Greebas takes out a pen and begins scribbling down the alias in his notes, and nods, thanking the young man. Mehlarin. Yes, Mehlarin, some refer to you as Polly, quite right, Greebas will remember! They didn't say they were Mehlarin. Well stop telling Greebas their names! Shut up you old... *mutters and walks up to Kaladfin* You, Kaladfin, you think this... Mehlarin person is a criminal, do you know them from somewhere? Have you some history with this person? Greebas sees you strangers arguing by the lake, which was undisturbed until all the arguing and shouting and skipping of rocks. Might Greebas be of some help sorting out this.... argument? Also, please be careful with the lake, it might be cursed, Greebas isn't sure. Something around here certainly is. -

I don't see a Polly anywhere. That's not on the list of names. What list of names? Who are you talking about? Kaladfin, he is looking for someone named Polly, but I don't sense a Polly in the group. Who in blazes is Kaladfin? That one talking right there. See? On the other side of the lake? It's none of our business, Obdilaurd, do you want me to finish my research or not? Ask him who Polly is. Fine, fine, if it will shut you up for five minutes, fine. Greebas will walk allllll the way around the whole lake just to ask a stranger who Polly is, and look like a lunatic, since there's no way Greebas could have heard him from here. *Greebas stumbles and hobbles his way over to the one Obdilaurd referred to as "Kaladfin"* Hello, hello kind stranger. Greebas Obdilaurd, at your service. I am wondering if you are looking for someone? You appear lost, and I live around this lake, or, recently moved here, anyway. Ask about Polly. Don't talk to Greebas right now. ...Never mind that, did you mention someone named Polly? Greebas doesn't know anyone of that name. -

Greebas noted that the others paid him no attention. He shrugged, and began arguing with himself about forbidden arcane knowledge, something about curses and death and unlife. Nothing too interesting or important. -

Wake up! Wake up, lazy bones! I can't get any sleep, and neither will you! *Greebas mumbled to himself* Greebas, the voices have started up again. They won't shut up! Get up and do something about it. I can't think with them around. *Greebas bolted upright in bed, angrily* BE QUIET YOU OLD FOOL, SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP! Well I can't sleep, they keep talking. Greebas is never going to be able to complete his research with you yammering into Greebas' head all the time. The living need to sleep sometimes, you know. Listen to you, complaining even though I let you sleep for three hours. I'm getting bored. Shut it, Obdilaurd. What voices? You're the only one who never shuts his noisy gob. Clean out your ear holes, mortal. Listen... they're talking. Greebas doesn't hear anything but you. Well go out there and talk to them, maybe your eyes still work. *Greebas rolls out from a poorly constructed shelter made of mud, branches, and leaves, covered in mud, and peers around the lake* It appears we have company, Obdilaurd. Adventurers. Sky-whatsits. The pompous thought police are coming to bother Greebas again. No one leaves poor Greebas alone. Questions, questions, always questions. Maybe we should make them go away. You leave them alone, you know how much attention that draws, and if Greebas go to prison he's never going to finish his work. They said there were criminals about, I don't think we can sit this one out and ignore it. When Greebas wants your advice, the lake will have dried up already, Obdilaurd. Greebas gathers up his scrolls and begins dreading more interactions with society. Lawless criminals, pompous uniformed thugs, self proclaimed peacekeepers, Greebas wants nothing to do with any of them. Just leave Greebas alone so he can clear his head in peace. You're narrating your own behavior again. Well when Greebas talks you stop talking, so Greebas will mutter to himself just to get a break from YOU. Hello, hello, fine people. Greebas Obdilaurd greets you all, and wonders what you're doing here by the lake and whether or not you're friend? Friend to Greebas, yes? Greebas doesn't remember any of you. Some of you have uh.... very stern faces. You look like you're looking for someone, certainly not poor Greebas, yes? -

Legends say the skies are filled with floofy canines with wings. They often flock together, and it makes it appear as though there are clouds in the sky. Alternatively, the dog from Up is the true updog.- 392 replies

Quick Fix 76: Judgement on the Shores of the Purelake
Askthepizzagal replied to Aeoryi's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I will join as Greebas Obdilaurd. He is kind of a crazy looking hermit. A bit like Radagast from the Hobbit movies. Unkempt, long, wizened beard. Long bony fingers, several missing teeth. Smells a bit like a wet, dirty sheep or goat. Might have been a scholar of some sort before he went crazy, as he is always consulting his scrolls and scribbling down things and muttering to himself about things no one else is interested in. Spends a lot of time talking to himself in the third person, and arguing with himself like an old married couple.- 392 replies

Long Game 107: The End of the World
Askthepizzagal replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Greetings, I am a friend of Aeternum's, from Mafia Universe. They have explained to me the large differences in culture and format for games here, and those differences appeal to me, even though I am used to the MU ways. One of the oldest sites I played on would play entire games in RP and have unusual mechanics. I have been invited to perhaps play a game with Aeternum here at some point, I would like to observe a bit, but I have 17 years of experience playing on well over a dozen very different forums, so if you need a substitute player (pinch hitter) I could fill the part on that as well. Would be a good way to dip my toes in. If you will have me, you can put me down as a Pinch Hitter for this game and I will follow along as a spectator until I am needed for the game.
