I am intrigued. Additionally, I am familiar with setting a personal deadline for finishing a book. I've finished the first draft of one story, on the day before said story became 1 year old. (Guess the deadline?) In my experience, having the goal does tend to help, but I also think everybody's writing abilities are different and what works for me may not work for you. Either way, I'd love to read what you've got, if you are okay with that!
