  1. So…. Some version of this has prob been done before, but I would love to do a Mistborn+Hunger games RP With each metal being a district and each tribute being a Mistborn but specially trained with proficiency in their district’s metal. we can do a format with 1 tribute per district and only the first 8 metals, 1 tribute per district and all metals, 2 tributes per district and only the first 8 metals, or 2 tributes per district and all metals, with any gaps being filled in with Npcs, although even with an optimistic 10 players, the last mode has like 22 npcs to keep track of. We’ll probably do 1 tribute per district with either 8 or 16 districts we need people to join! Inviting @CoderDrag0n8, @Wyver, @Through The Living Glass, @IcedOutPenguin, @TheBestTruthwatcher, @SpartanBrigade, and anyone y’all wanna invite. Also @Heřãłðøfľõvê (why is your name so hard to spell?!?)
  2. Fair. Ok then: edit is that Kora’s dad discovered aluminum and it’s properties, which is how Kora knows about it, but he was killed by an inquisitor, Kora swears vengeance on TLR, bla bla bla. That also solves the other problem you had with my character, and gives her a drive for revenge to explain why she joined a seemingly suicidal thriving crew to take down TLR.
  3. My character doesn’t know about gunpowder; Kora’s Dad learned about gunpowder, wrote 2 letters to his creditors explaining his discovery, one of which betrayed him to the Canton of Inquisition, who killed him literally the day after he discovered it. The only people who currently know are the 1 person who he wrote to who didn’t betray him, who is keeping quiet about gunpowder to have a complete monopoly; the 1 crime lord has armed themselves and a couple deeply trusted guards with basic gunpowder pistols. Her mission is to figure out who this crime lord is and ask them what her dad’s discovery was.
  4. The way the disappearance of gunpowder is compared to the disappearance of the Terris religion makes it sound like it didn’t vanish immediately (I Belize Sazed talks at one point about how the Terri’s religion was decimated when the Synod met in a building that was subsequently raided and they were all killed, which implies they knew the Terri’s religion, and since gunpowder disappeared “almost as quickly”, knowledge of it lasted a nontrivial amount of time after TLR’s ascension, and Scadrian brains weren’t modified, but people who knew of it were killed quickly.
  5. Could be wrong but I think that he found out about guns after he took the power (they were a new tech and Alendi probably didn’t have one, and being a herdsman he wouldn’t have seen them prior to Lord Rulering), at which point he didn’t have the power at the well of acention anymore.
  6. IM IN! Name: Kora (she/her) Class: Lurcher Backstory: An inventor who owns 2 gun-ish thingamagigs (schematics below) that she designed herself. Father, Hart, was a skaa artesian mechanist who, against the lord ruler’s wishes, designed new technology. Made a revolutionary discovery (which was gunpowder, but Kora doesn’t know that) but was then killed by the lord ruler’s inquisitors to suppress it. Kora’s father took a lot of loans from some unsavory people (think Joel’s dad from The Rithmatist) to make his discovery, and Kora is trying to find the people who her father told of his discovery. Mother, Marlene Falst, was a minor noble from a minor noble house who was secretly a Tineye. Kora got into bodyguarding to get the money to continue the search for her father’s lost discovery. Strengths: intelligent, knows the properties of aluminum, has ~10 pounds of aluminum stockpiled, very observant, has 2 gun-ish thingamagigs. Weaknesses: Socialy awkward, stubborn, a bit of an over thinker. Other: Connection to the underworld of Luthadel via the people who lent money to her father. feel free to shower me with flattery for my awe-inducing gun-ish thingamagigs! (thas their official name, btw. If you call it anything else, I will come for you at night with a gun-ish thingamagig or two) To be clear, Ironpulling is required to operate the gun-ish thingamagigs.
  7. Good luck! (awkward silence) IDK what else to say. But good luck!
  8. At the same time, in the Smedryverse, Alcatraz and Bastille, appearing to be in their mid-thirties but in reality having broken aging, were about to try to break through the barriers between Brandon Sanderson universes for the first time (unless it’s happened already on this thread). This is my attempt to make a meaningful contribution to this thread without having read 4000+ pages of text. I’m fine if, in the case that this post really doesn’t fit with the plot, deleting it. Someone pls save me and tell me what dafuq is happening.
  9. I, as a figment, waft into the chouta complex and hack the defenses to disable them, then bring in my mechsuit. I’m about to hyperjump away with the sandwich when…
  10. Have y’all just been hugging for an hour?
  11. I, with absolutely NO CONTEXT, have put it upon myself to join this RP thingamajig. BRACE YOURSELVES Name: Corealis Fatespeaker Gender: won’t tell you unless pressed to keep up his MYSTERIOUS AIR. But male. Skills: the god that bumped into Leviathan sat on me and gave me hallucinations, a quarter of which are visions of the future and the rest of which aren’t (evil cackle). A decent wizard, but a bit of a klutz at everything else. Items: large cloak that he thinks is dramatic but is in fact just ridiculous, a spell book, a large book of Greek myths that he pretends is a spell book because it looks cooler, neon crocks with socks, adventurer’s pack. Age: will tell you he is 29, is actually 21 Plot relevance: I saw the first meeting of all of the other characters IN A VISION and rushed there to meet them (yes IcedOutPenguin, this is an intentional WoF joke). Backstory: apprenticed to an actually competent wizard who doesn’t want to deal with me. The wizard is in a whole other adventure and will pay me 1 piece for a shadow dragon’s horns. (I call dibs on the horns!)
  12. Szeth-son-son-Vallano, Truthless of Shinovar, wore Wayne’s lucky hat on the day he was to kill a king Nuff said
  13. AHHHHH yes that is a thing that makes sense excuse me for a second *screams into a pillow* so anyway, how do the little yellow rank below your name work?
  14. *stares blankly* Figment Radon has stoped responding Pls explain how does one lose their soul to GINGER, of all things?
  15. I s’pose that makes sense. How’d you lose your soul?
  16. Also, how does the little yellow rank below your name work?
  17. I doubt He Who Owns Your Soul cares what you believe
  18. Wouldn’t aluminum spikes just remove any powers an inquisitor would normally have? Or is this an inside joke I happen to be outside of? Also, are you (I mean SpaceSnakesCan, I know you know, Mr. DEMON) aware of your supreme overlord Rubix?
  19. Do you guys feel like cytonic figments would be a thing that could happen? A figment could have gotten into the nowhere to become a cytonic, but they don’t have brains in the normal sense (my image of figment biology is that when they evolved on their home planet, they evolved in something that held their gas together, like some kind of bubble membrane, until they were alive enough to hold their gases together. I also imagine that they’re made of a bunch of different gases that interact like proteins do in humans, and they think with logic gates that use gas rather than electricity). There is precedence for cytonics without brains in dlzzzzz, but figment biology feels less alive to be than that of resonants.
