  6. Until just know, I thought your display name was the Sorceress 🤦‍♂️. You've met Kaladin, while I was here thinking you'd met Kelsier.

Riino and Riina are way too similar.

  7. Because @LordHathsin_Surviv0r isn't nearly active enough, I'm going to say this.

On Sunday, me, @LordHathsin_Surviv0r and 2 others (both of whom had not read Mistborn) played Mistborn: the Deckbuilding Game. I was Vin, Hathsin was Kelsier and the other two played Marsh and Shan.

The Target was super cool. Everytime someone gave me the target they would instantly regret it as I did like 9 damage at once. So, the other 3 did the logical thing and all worked together to gang up on me. I still ended up killing Shan (what happened in TFE too) and had the highest health left (9, I believe) by using pewter cards to heal. @LordHathsin_Surviv0r was at two health, had the target... and used every single power he had to do as much damage as possible. He used some high-damage steel cards, augmented by Kelsier's abilities, and he was also the only one with atium, so he used that too, as well has his bonus from the Luthadel Garrison mission to do 12 damage and knock out both me and Marsh. He won.

This game wasn't very mission focused at all. We mostly only did Luthadel Garrision becuase it did damage and Shan did a bit of Keep Venture for some extra money. He bought Balance, but never got to use it.

The game was far shorter than what I expected. Only @LordHathsin_Surviv0r had atium as he'd accelerated his training.

      How does the game work?

Mistborn: the Deckbuilding Game is kind of a deckbuilding game, you know. You play as the four non-immortal Mistborn in TFE (Kelsier, Vin, Marsh and Shan) and there are three ways to win, at least in competitive.

      1) You're the only one left that hasn't died

      2) You are the first to complete all the missions

      3) You acquire the 'Confrontation' card, spend 4 atium, and instantly win.

All players start with a deck of 10 cards. Each turn, they draw 5 cards and play five cards, burning metals to power them. After your turn, you put the cards you used in the discard pile and draw 5 new cards. If the deck is empty, you reshuffle the discard pile. Then the next player goes.

Each card has unique abilities. Some do damage, healing, give boxings, progress missions, increase training, etc. Some cards also have multiple abilities. For example, if you burn 1 pewter to power Striking Blow, you do 6 damage. However, if you use an additional 2 pewter, you can also get 8 healing.

You can use boxings to buy more cards for your deck in the market. This makes your deck better, and you can also use some cards that let you eliminate cards from your deck, allowing you to buy good cards and get rid of bad ones. This is what makes a deckbuilding game: making your deck better over the course of the game.

These are the super basic rules, you can read the rest here: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6508a57d4f618044bb0f8544/t/66e5a7dd6f06617beb470d54/1726326752267/MistbornRulebook_V1.pdf

Seems to be a user with the name "Everyone"

      But that's just me guessing.

  17. My first status update is on How To Become Depressed

    1. Read TWoK, but stop after Chapter 40 (I think that's the right spot)

    2. Read Part 1 of Dark Age, or Red Rising #5. This is rubbing salt in the wound. Likely won't have the same effect if you haven't read the whole series, though...

    3. Read Rhythm of War, but stop after Chapter 107. Depression, depression, depression.

If you have any more ideas, please tell me.

  18. Dear Oh Bel,

I have noticed that you use the dice feature on Google a lot. Well, I hate to break it to you, but that isn't truly random. It's actually pseudo-random, which uses mathematical formulas to produce numbers that feel random, but actually aren't.

That's why I use Random.org for all my random needs, which offers true randomness for all who need it - for free! Just head to https://random.org. If you want d20s, you can simply use the number generator and set the max value to 20. Random.org also offers d6 rollers, integer generators, string generators, decimal generators, the possibilities are endless.

This sounds like an advertisement. I can guarantee that I was not paid to make this.

Alright. I have proof google is broken. Ask it the square root of -1. The correct answer is i, the imaginary number.
