  1. A door opened, and a figure with a white metal-like thing in his left eye walked through. His other eye was Prismatic. Renamed felt for the Connection lines, and saw three leading back the way he came, and two more leading towards The Clearing. He felt again for Connection lines, this time weaker ones. Immediately, the number of lines exploded, but he was able to pick out one in particular. It leaded... to one of the doors in the floor. Renamed frowned, but knelt and opened it, before jumping through.
  2. An unnamed clone walks towards the centre of the crater where the arena once stood. There lay the white, metal-like chunk where Named was. It was shaped like a piece of rock cut into a roughly rod-like shape, with one end narrower than the other. The clone picked it up; oddly, it felt as heavy as a boulder and as light as a feather simultaneously. The clone took a deep breath, then impaled the into his left eye. The clone - Renamed - screamed, then began filling with luxin. His skin shone in every colour of the spectrum as liquid luxin leapt from his fingertips. He drafted so much, in fact, that the ground beneath him became mildly radioactive. It took a long minute for Renamed to stop. Then, a door appeared in front of him, and he walked through. The clone actually named Clone used his Titanean forces to infiltrate the Scadrian spy network. They then steal the sandwich and bring it to Clone.
  3. So I have a (mostly) working 2D JS gravity simulation.

Now I'm trying to create a solar system in it, but it keeps falling apart.

I can get a stable system with a star and one planet, but as soon as I add a second planet, one of three things happen:

    a) The planets collide

    b) One of the planets crashes into the star

    c) One of the planets gets ejected from the system

So I took a break from that and instead tried creating a star-planet-moon system. Faced the same problem; the moon either crashed or escaped its planet.

Though perhaps this is because the mass of the 'star' is only 31 times that of the planet, which makes it too much like the 3-Body Problem.

I meant the velocities are proportional

But looking at my code, I don't think I wrote it right...

I have school soon, so when I get back I'll fix that

also their acceleration should be in opposite directions,

Yeah, but if one of the objects is more massive than the other, then the smaller body gets more velocity

I'll post the code later, I need to clean it up

  4. We know these halls, the odds can be tilted You don't think I know my own palace? I built it
  5. I didn't actually read the threads like at all, but just from reading the dead doc, it looked really fun! Hopefully I can find the time to play the next game.
  6. Xyrieskelif froze for a moment, then tried peering closer at the figure to try and see what it was.
  7. In the heat of battle, at the edge of the unknown Somewhere in the shadows lurks an agile deadly foe
  8. So I'm still reading the Dragon Reborn. I also finished The Martian audiobook and have begun Tau Zero The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan The Martian by Andy Weir Really good! Can't decide if it's better than PHM at this stage, but really good! Tau Zero by Poul Anderson Hard sci-fi. Set pretty far in the future, I think. With the audiobook, it's a little hard to keep track of characters though as they all sound kind of similar. It feels a little like the Ender's Game sequels, with humanity expanding towards the stars on relativistic ships.
  9. I say we gather near the beaches I say we wait 'til he arrives Then when he docks his ship we can breach it Let us leave now today we can strike and
  10. Starseeker, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison One other with a Nahel bond, Kaiden had said... who was he talking about? There weren't any other Radiants, and Starseeker did not see any reason one would lie about there being an extra Radiant. And one with Transportation, too. Starseeker also noticed that Kaiden had left out the Fused, and so he decided to do the same. "I arrived first," Starseeker said. "And I began Soulcasting away the fires around the rim of the crater. When I returned from the Cognitive Realm, Kaiden and Cayasana were here. Fortunately, the explosion wasn't in a populated area."
