  1. "Sanity... san... ent... I think I understand. It's like without a mind. Well, I would think you would have extra."
  2. Taeidin screamed and ran for cover under one of the nearby buildings.
  3. Taeidin scratches his head. "I did not understand anything you just said. What's a crazy?"
  4. Taeidin looks at the woman, confused. "Who's Ernest? Cep, though, has been hearing voices." He nods definitively.
  5. I agree. I personally do not believe in the afterlife, and would be curious to see how others might view this in the Cosmere. I feel that we actually have less of a bias in world than out of world as the Cosmere lets you actually see what a person's soul is and how divinity/magic works, which allows for less areas of theorising.
  6. Taeidin looks at the boy, then back to Cep. "Do you know him?"
  7. I think that they simply cease to exist. While alive, they are composed of matter and Investiture. Shortly after death, their Investiture detaches from their physical body, and replaces it, causing them to be sort of split in two: a lifeless body in the Physical Realm made of matter and a living body in the Cognitive Realm made of Investiture. The more Invested a person was, the longer they last in the Cognitive Realm, likely because their Investiture slowly seeps from Cognitive up to the Spiritual Realm. The final death is when they no longer have enough Investiture in the Cognitive Realm to continue their existence as an entity, and so they "pass into the Beyond". In the Cognitive, the Investiture is held together as them through the perceptions of people on them, but this is not the case in the Spiritual, so the Investiture would simply disperse there. A person's "soul" is their spiritweb, a complex of Connections. Those Connections exist as interception points between different concepts thought of in the Cognitive. They could describe a person, but not actually be them or serve as their thoughts at any point. The only way to bring someone back would be to use the spiritweb to imprint upon Investiture (or theoretically matter) what a person was and have it form them. This is how people long dead appear in the visions that Dalinar sees while in the Spiritual Realm. It is possible to bring people back from the Beyond in this way, though it would be nigh on impossible.
  8. Herdaz is definitely under the control of Retribution, as no part of the agreement spared Herdaz if Odium won, and the Everstorm encompasses the whole of Roshar except for Azir. Honor's power only wished to hold to the part of the agreement where Odium won. My guess is that the Mink will live given how intentionally that scene was placed, but you can never be sure with Brandon. I agree that the greatshell is likely the hog.
  9. Taeidin starts off in the direction he had indicated. Before long, the forest clears into farmland. They can see a small town sitting at the top of a hill a little while away, with cottages speckling the fields around it.
  10. Thinking the meanings of you: thanking of this, wasing of the uses of really.
  11. Taeidin folds his arms. "This is a very random place. Let me check... maybe there's a town or something near here." He kneels on the ground, picking some small stones and arranging them in a complex pattern. After a minute, he stands up. "There should be one pretty close over that way," he says, pointing.
  12. To Cep, Taeidin speaks. "This is a dead end. Maybe... do you know where you first appeared?" @Kaladin Stormcursed
  13. We also know some based on Frost, Dragonsteel Prime, and WoBs, but you are essentially correct. However, I think we should add Xisis to the listing as dragons are a major power in the Cosmere, and he is the one that we know most about. We don't really know much about the Blackthorn or the Heralds either, but it is essential to have them on the list.
  14. How the metals work is among the 8 basic metals, 4 are elemental, and each elemental metal has an alloy that serves as the push to its pull. For example, steel is mainly an iron alloy, and pewter is an alloy of tin. This is the same with the higher metals as well, meaning that bendalloy is an alloy of cadmium and nicrosil of chromium, etc.
  15. Nightblood is Invested enough that it should go at #5: Everything else on the list looked correct to me.
  16. I mean, Miles has guns but Dalinar can Connect things... that would be a really weird matchup because they are so different in every way. I don't think we could really say who would beat who. Knowing what we currently do with dragons, I think Xisis should definitely go at 8 out of an abundance of caution, but we really don't know any of their powers or abilities. They can also shapeshift, but it would seem to be only between human and dragon form.
  17. Taeidin sighed and turned to Cep. "I don't think Utility knows."
  18. Taeidin looks at Cep confusedly. @Kaladin Stormcursed "Who's him?"
  19. Georgia then realised that ninjas can jump and sent them jumping over the sea in a mass invasion of ArKanOurHolma.
  20. "Oh, maybe you just didn't see him. That's a better explanation." I know It's just Taeidin taking your words far too literally.
  21. Taeidin, confused, sits down in a chair and then leans backwards until his head is touching the floor. He then sits back upright. "So - did you see how he appeared or did you?" he asks Utility. @Kaladin Stormcursed
