    "It could be any number of things. I'm... not sure how I could proceed." He pauses for a moment. "Speaking of which, what's your story?"

    "Well, I see that the reason that the orbs are coming after me is me. That's not particularly helpful though." He thinks for a second. "How to want this differently..."

    "Okay, let me see..." Taeidin pulls out 14 stones of varying shapes and begins balancing them on top of one another. After a minute or two of doing this, he stops and shakes his head. "That was not insightful."

    "Pretty much. Oh-should I figure out why?"

    "Not until they inevitably return, no." Taeidin shrugs.

    "Because they were there," Taeidin says matter-of-factly.

    "Oh, they're gone by now."

    "That's fine." Cep is unusually good at weaseling things out of Taeidin.

    Looking startled, Taeidin replies. "You know, I don't think that I've ever tried to figure out why." He pauses and thinks for a bit. "Maybe it's because of what I can do with the stones? Once I'm out of here I should be able to figure out how to figure out why."

    "They're malignant-looking orbs that occasionally appear in the sky. They usually go away eventually. They keep looking for me for some reason."

    "What about them?" Taeidin shifts into a guarded expression.

    "Pointing at you is not the important part, that just means that you are capable of exiting here with me, which I already figured. I was simply curious about how they would work while in a thought-space."

    "When I made the request to leave, the stones returned everywhere, but slightly stronger towards you. They then began pointing towards a certain part of you, presumably your mind, and went into an infinite paradox loop of pointing to you being in your mind. If it had not been a simple pattern, I would have gone comatose."

    "That makes sense. Hang on - I want to try something." Taeidin takes some stones and places them in a star on the ground. "Well, that's interesting," he said musingly.

    Taeidin grabs Cep by the shoulders and hauls Cep in front of him. "I need to hide!"

    "Don't worry; I've developed an immunity." Suddenly, Taeidin points at a spot in the air that Cep doesn't see anything in. "Oh shoot, the orbs are back!"

    "That's correct. Or-oh, you don't want that one. That's poisonous. Causes hallucinations. Take this one instead." Taeidin hands Cep a new mushroom and takes his. Taeidin proceeds to eat the mushroom he deemed poisonous.
