  3. The bidder goes purple in the face. “Two hundred thousand MONEY!” he declares angrily.
  4. Or at least tries to. As Sanguine attempts to cut a rift, he finds that he can sense nowhere else outside the cave, as if the cave is indeed the only thing that exists.
  5. The bidder looks at you for a long moment, running some very complicated calculations in their head to determine how much they have to raise in order to outbid you. Finally, they give up on the math and just settle on “Ninety thousand MONEY!”
  6. She winces and blood spatters the stone messily. She manages to stumble backwards a few steps before collapsing; the whole process seems somehow overly gory and dramatic. “Feel all better now?” the watching Egis mocks.
  7. Egis actually intentionally teleports herself in the way of his attack. The one spectating looks like she is struggling to contain her laughter.
  8. “If that’s what you want,” she shrugs, and lowers her blade.

  13. The spikes wheel about in the air and shoot back towards him.
  14. The spear on his back rattles slightly in a manner that is distinctly doubtful. Better than nothing… nothing… nothing…
  15. His sword-arm slices through air, and the sensation fades. Egis runs up to Sanguine and slashes overhead as her original specter leans against the far wall, grinning.
  16. Staring down at him are a dozen beady eyes, unblinking and glowing with a faint violet hue. A single massive spider—with multiple smaller ones scuttling across its back—was standing intently before the BftS door, waiting, it seemed, for someone to arrive. As it slowly widens its mandibles, a bead of green liquid drops to the floor right next to the new arrival, sizzling as it makes contact.
  17. This time, it would appear that he hit nothing. To one side of where he struck, the air shimmers and then resolves into Egis. As she draws a silvery sword, he gets the distinct feeling that something is right behind him.
  18. “Forty!” someone in the crowd shouts. Pretty sure they died…
  19. She actually is invisible, having been left with little time to plan after Sanguine broke through the first layer of her deception so quickly. As the tendrils of his arm sweep sideways, they curl up and away from a specific area as if some force is pushing them back.
