  1. Worked overtime for the first time last night.

Hmm. No regrets, but it sure hurt like storms.

Yeah, sleep is my best friend. Also, Ibuprofen. :P

I think I'm slowly getting used to it though. Which is good.

Aye, soon they'll be making you go on bridge runs.

  2. I am so sorry I didn't get around to reading these earlier. Which reminds me: I never got around to finishing your Potterfic (I blame the dumb web filter). What sites are it on again? I'd love to finish reading it.
  3. Hmm, Fireflies is a good one. But there are so many others, like Galaxies or Hot Air Balloon! Of course, I'll leave the decision to explore him further to you (however, I should warn you that he's very Christian. Not a bad thing, but it could potentially affect your enjoyment of some of the songs). Interesting. The Silence might be a little scary, but for me the Cybermen are storming terrifying. Also, just some general advice -- try not to post more than once in a row. Instead, just hit that little + at the bottom of posts and you can quote more than one post at a time.
  4. What! They're only the second-best band in all of existence!
  5. Not to mention I'm pretty sure it would've been in Era 1 had the Lord Ruler not suppressed it. Gunpowder definitely existed, he just offed anyone who knew about it. ETA: Ninja'd. Been a while since that's happened.
  6. Owl City?
  7. Coldplay?
  8. Ah, April. That beautiful month where I'm suddenly allergic to everything. Wait.
  9. It's the single from their yet-to-announce-any-details-whatsoever-but-apparently-upcoming album.
  10. It's a cello cover of Believer. Click the link underneath it that says, "THE SCRIPT". That'll take you to the source.
  11. It's quite a contrast to the original, actually. The original's all angsty and dark, and a quite heavier, and this one is a lot mellower, almost chilling, or should I say somber? Both are great, though.
  12. Bingo. I mean, plenty of people do pull up to the proper lane. But enough people don't that it gets really, really annoying.
  13. Hum, this one changes sometimes. Right now, maybe Order of the Phoenix? Luna Lovegood, hands down. Hufflepuff for life. Though I think there's a bit of Ravenclaw in me somewhere. I really need to get around to reading Sorting Hat Chats. Honestly? Agreed. Though I do really like the Deathly Hallows ones. Again, five is also quite good (I didn't like it at first, but now it's a favorite).
  14. Had my first near-breakdown earlier today. Just did. not. want. to go to work. I mean, it was actually a really good day, but this morning was just. horrible.
  15. The music selection where I work is the worst. It's like a playlist of the most annoying of Top 40 from the past thirty or so years. And I say playlist, not radio station, because literally will hear the same songs every single day. Sometimes I hear a good song -- Coldplay's been on a fair bit (though it's always the same two songs. I've heard Adventure of a Lifetime three times, and I've lost track of how many times they've played Speed of Sound), and twice I've heard a song from my favorite band, which is awesome, and really brightens my day. They seriously get like no airtime at all usually. Today, though, I heard a song (Funkytown, if you're wondering), and within seconds of the main riff playing I knew it'd be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. And it was. This is true. But I don't know if this character would fit in the story I want to write, unfortunately. I guess we'll have to wait and see. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. The waltz. Kaladin's expression alone would be priceless. Would you rather be strung up in a highstorm or be dangled out an airship?
  17. I've always wanted to read the Qur'an. One day.
  18. There are two lanes in the donation dock. One of them is completely devoid of employees, and one has me and another guy standing ready to receive. Which one do you think people pull up to?
  19. Just tried again, and it works. Huh. Thanks, whoever did that!
  20. Well, if I ever get around to writing more, you might just spot him someday.
  21. I was trimming back an overgrown mint patch in our yard. And now I want to read a book about an assassin or mercenary or something who's got a garden and he's just depressed and weeding it or something, like, "At least brutally murdering mint smells nice. Unlike people."
  22. At least brutally murdering mint smells nice.
  23. Noodle! My aunt actually does have a snake. He's named Balthazar. The one before that was Lady Mortimer.
