  1. Welcome! Always great to see new people. Can't wait to see you around the forums! Germany is pretty cool; I've always wanted to visit... (love the name, by the way)
  2. Eek, I'm sorry. I'd give you a sympathy upvote, but somehow I've already hit quota. So have a virtual hug instead.
  3. I have never actually read Clarke. Should I? And yes. Yes you should.
  4. And real quick, some additional requests, if I may (assuming anyone takes me up on this): Basically what I'm asking here is if anyone wants to take over writing my characters. The above is a proposed plot to get rid of them at any time if you so wish. Just... don't end it so quickly it only takes a post? If that's alright. Again, if anyone wants to adopt these characters, feel free.
  5. What *is* the Quota, exactly? How many upvotes does it take?

I don't know; I've never hit quota yet.

      Mailliw73

I believe it's 30 per day, but I'm not positive.

      Mailliw, was that a pun?

  6. So waaay back in Question 13 (remember that? I think it was what, ten years ago now? ) I had a writing prompt I wanted to pass by all of you to see what you thought. Then, before I could write it, I went on a hiatus of sorts. Edgedancer suggested somebody write an entry in Astoria with that prompt and with my characters as a way to both get that prompt done and off my characters in a fun way. I now offer whoever wants to that chance. You could split it between a couple people (for example if there’s multiple POVs in the scene) or whatever you all see fit to do. Here’s the prompt again, for reference: And lastly, the weaknesses for my two major Epics are as follows: I certainly do love this environment and the Reckonerverse. And writing is oh so fun. So who knows? Maybe I'll come back again someday.
  7. What would John Watson be? A Bloodmaker Ferring?
  8. Same, actually. If you took Elend and Renarin and mashed them together you'd get me.
  9. Yup. Basically the lobby, towards the back. Though we should look into finding an unoccupied room so we don't attract so many odd looks.
  10. YAY NEW COLLECTIVE SOUL HAS A RELEASE DATE AND A SINGLE! ...although it's not yet on iTunes, nor does it have any cover art. :/
  11. THIS IS A THING YOU ARE BASICALLY GETTING PAID TO WRITE FANFICTION WHAT THE HECK SIGN ME UP ...only problem being they have no good worlds.
  12. How have I not heard of wave pools until now?
  13. It's a very, very large swimming pool with lots of slides. If it turns out you're talking about Six Flags, don't worry. I have no idea what that is either, other than the fact that it's apparently an amusement park. (EDIT: "Park" is becoming one of those words that sounds less and less like a word the more you say it.)
  14. Well, it certainly would be entertaining. Um. Not bad. I'm at 13,521 out of 20,000 words. Exactly.
  15. And it's good! It made me realize how much I don't want him as my math teacher.
  16. I can actually relate to this somewhat. And whatever happens, you have my sympathy. Just keep up the good work!
  17. Why did Handel get rid of his chickens?

It took me a while. Now I'm facepalming. So hard.

  18. Why, thank you! You just figured everything out for me for my Mistborn/Holmes crossover! Seriously, though, that's perfect. Way better than what I was thinking (double zinc). More on topic, I think the Doctor would make an excellent Windrunner, if only for the ideals (in that case, maybe the Willshapers as well...).
  19. local store should have you could borrow ours but its gone and we live in different states
  20. Um. There is a planning thread for this, no? Seriously. Derailment of Epic proportions here.
  21. Well, this is a difficult question. Which order would you ideally (pun not intended, but I'm keeping it anyways) belong to or which one would I most fit with? Revising my earlier opinions (as I have, in fact, posted here before), I'd say that if I could choose any... Surge-wise, it's actually really hard to choose. There's so many good combos. The ones I'd fit with best, however, I'd have to say either the Lightweavers (as I'm fairly artistic-minded, though technical minded as well -- my brain's weird) or maybe the Willshapers. Or maybe I'll go with what the KR quiz gave me, and say Truthwatchers.
  22. Ah. All makes sense now. Best of luck finding a library job!
  23. I'm proud to say I have not read said article. Nor will I. Medical things, especially disease, creep me out. Ick. I'm sorry. Where do you work?
  24. Works for me, maybe. Let me see, then I'll either confirm or deny. EDIT: Yup, 28th works for me, unless Calamity decides to rise the day before.
  25. That it is. Also. It's official. Jones cream soda is best cream soda.
